I followed pretty much the recipe and it turned out great. My whole house smells divine and it was certainly an impressive dish to my family! I wish I am able to post a photo here! Thanks Spice and Pans. Really enjoy your recipes!
Excellent instructional video, featuring my favorite food, roast duck. You could slow the narrative down a parsec or two, but otherwise, it was superb!
i found your recipe the other day and i am so excited to hopefully try it this weekend if Im lucky enough to find a meat market with duck in my city. I do have a question; do you have any recommendation for getting a crispy skin on the duck after cooking?
Great recipe. I made this and then had some in rice paper rolls with vermicelli, cucumber, spring onion and coz lettuce, Delicious! To much soy sauce though, found it salty. So I added 1 orange juiced & peel to sauce to balance flavour. Very tasty and new sub. 👍🏻
Hi Roland, will you be able to have a video to show me how to chop up the duck? Have not cook duck before, let alone a whole duck. I think there's some technique in cutting up the duck. Thank you for your recipe and guidance!
Hi Jaemil. So so sorry for our late reply. And also sorry that this recipe didn’t come in written format due to our time constraint. Our newer videos have ingredients listed in the description box. Hope that helps to make your marketing and cooking process easier. Happy cooking!
Yes can. We have a braised pork recipe. Maybe that will help? This ua-cam.com/video/YGxhoOmeuOQ/v-deo.html or this ua-cam.com/video/6MSq6hvemfA/v-deo.html

Great video and recipe! I like how u explain clearly the different steps and the uses of different ingredients, so we can tweak to our own liking as well. BTW I like your wok. Is it carbon steel, did u custom made it?
Thank you so much, Sally. If you’re using a pressure cooker, please add enough water to cover the entire duck so that the colour on the duck will be even. You can cook it for 45 mins. Hope this helps. Happy cooking !
You'll have to forgive me but I was having a hard time following you between your accent and how fast you talked. Do you have a website that lists all of the ingredients and all the steps that follow? I've loved Duck since I was a little girl. And would love to try it. I'm also curious as to what kind of wok you used. Also, I have an electric stove/oven. Do you have any advice on how to compensate for temperature?
Wow! That's really kind of you! Maybe next time we can come to Morocco and you can cook us some Moroccan food and we will film you doing that. Awesome!!
Chef, I love duck. This looks heavenly. Have a poultry shop nearby. First going through your recipes, to see if there are more duck recipes. I'm seeing a duck feast in my family's future. Thank you.
Can I put the duck in oven? Problem is I don't have a large enough wok but have a large ceramic tray with a lid, to prevent it from drying out. Could it work?
Thank you so much for this video. After visiting Singapore, i was just craving the duck and rice. Now i can try making this myself. Is it okay if i dont have the blue ginger? Its not available where i live. Can i just use regular ginger instead?
Can no problem. You can replace it with normal ginger. Happy cooking. Hope you can recreate the flavours you’re thinking of. Let us know how it turned out K. Cheers!
After braising, you can hang the duck up to dry for a few hours. Then deep-fry it or leave it in the oven. Best to deep-fry for maximum crisp. Happy cooking!

Just as well I watched the whole video before I started preparing or I would have missed the very important initial step of cleaning the duck that was only mentioned towards the end of the video. Imagine if one had marinated the duck for some time only to find out that they had to clean it with salt first!!!😲
this soup seems to be the common ancestry of something I've seen described in Thai as a sort of "Chinese medicine curry". I think"Palo Bed" is their version of this recipe.
Good morning from Singapore! We didn’t remove it and it turned out great. No effect at all. Please rub the duck with some salt as part of the cleaning process before cooking. Then follow our steps and you will have a delicious braised duck.
