Good for the weekend warrior, not for commercial purposes.
Thank you Andy for taking the time to do the review.
That’s probably the most real world review I’ve seen. 👍🏻 thank you
Thanks for the update on the cutter Andy
Had my Hypertherm 45 for about 8-10 years dang good machine no complaints.
Thanks Andy. You make everything interesting. Keep them coming.
Excellent comparison and HF is for one offs or in a pinch for sure. Daily and reliable, stick with the proven unit can't go wrong. The HF could be a lifesaver when it is snowing and there is nothing else around. Thank you for sharing, I learned a lot.
Thanks for doing this review thinking about getting one but now thinking getting one like your old one . Very good and honest u can see the difference u really do get what you pay for in quality .
Thanks for another education today, thanks to you Andy!! Love it. I think you like doing that as much as we like watching it lol. Never gets boring.
Hypertherm #1... Miller #2 for plasma cutters... Hands Down! Take and spray the front end parts on the plasma with Nozzle Anti Spatter spray. Saves the Nozzle and shield cap
I was looking at the titanium welder as well as this plasma cutter for my purposes this will work great thanks for the in-depth review
Always a catch with hobo freight. Thanks for the heads up on cutting head 👍
ANDY I WAS HOPING YOU WOULD SHOW US HOW THEY WORKED THAT WAS A GREAT LESSON AND THANK YOU 👍👍
Thanks Andy Never too old to Learn👍🇺🇸
This was a great comparison, review and how-to. Thanks very much Andy. I think it's a great showcase of why you shouldn't buy off brand products.
Great Video Andy! I really appreciate your honesty in rating the plasma cutters!
You can't beat the old stuff . 👍👍👍
We upgraded from out old 800 to the 65 from Haun. What a world of difference. Also you’ll like the gouging function and tips for washing welds and cutting layers like removing wear liners from the mixers.
Yes andy that was a good review i liked the way u went through want showed us and was honest about telling us thanks
Informative, thanks for taking the time Andy, appreciate your effort. Hope yer havin a great day.
Interesting to see operation on voltage difference. I've been considering a 110V for my hobby and small shop. Very well done. You can be my shop teacher any day 👍
We have a miller 525 in our shop. We love it. It cuts like a dream up to half inch. Will cut up to an inch.
Another great informational video. Thank you for taking the time to share with us
Thanks for making this video, been waiting for it before we bought one, we are allot smaller farm then yours and there is only myself and my two brothers running it as our grandfather is retired and dad is semi retired. I think for what we do the cheaper one would work for us. From watching your videos we went over our chisel plow and discs and both our seed drill and our corn planter and spent $25,000.00 in parts on all of them and that took some explaining to our parents, but $25000.00 on 4 pieces of equipment to put them in new shape is cheaper then buying even a good used one my brother Justin bought a used Steger Cougar 251 and we are in the process of restoring it . I heard they are a good tractor and why my brother wanted it i can not explain except he has always wanted one, we now have two JD tractors, a 5083 with a loader and a 7430 with frt PTO and three point hitch, two Case tractors a Puma 165 and a 185 and reason we bought them was Deere couldn't even come close to matching their price and that was with a new two year old one they had sitting on their lots and so far to me Case is just as good or maybe even better then the Deer's.. We also have a Massey Ferguson 165 whichwas the tractor i learned on and recently got a Kubota track skid steer. We farm 1000 acres in southern Ontario and have black Angus beef cattle. Keep up the good videos on your repairs.
Great review thanks Andy!
Thanks Andy. Appreciate your time reviewing this H F plasma cutter.
Lot's of pro's and con's about the extended warranty. That would be a tough choice.
😊👍
Another excellent video!! Looking forward to more from FFF!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and great videos
Very good information about the cutter thanks for the review on the cutter keep up the great work
I found the video very informative and if I were in the market for a 1 off unit I wasn't going to use much. The small one would be great. Thanks again for the comparison video
I love this shop!
I bought Hyper Therm 30 air. Love it. Very portable and has both 220 and 115. Carry up silo and only need cord.
I got one of those as well, its awesome with the built in compressor, its so convenient! And can cut pretty thick stuff too!
G'day Andy. Great review Thanks. See you on the next one.
Thanks Andy great video.
Great video Andy thank you.
Thanks,,, good comparison.
Thanks Andy.
👍 thanks Andy!
Your a smart man Andy still like your videos hopefully you do more
Hypotherm T30air. Hands down for the best for cutting up to 3/8. And you don't need a air compressor. I have one and love it!!
I had a hypo PM 1000 and loved it.
Prior to that had ESAB PLASMA don’t remember what model however was a very good machine for its size as well!
Makes life a lot easier.... and the safety squints aren’t nearly required as much...lol
Thanks Andy!
It was interesting watching you using different type of tips. Nice little unit though. Great illustration Andy!! Keep the videos coming. Catchya at the next one. Stay safe!!
Great video Andy
NIce honest review!
Hello from Ontario, Canada! Love your videos! Keep up the great work!
Interesting Andy as I’m in the market for new one 👍👍
I love my harbor freight machine on 120 for doing body panels on my project vehicles floorpans trunk pans it cuts so cool you can go right to tacing the panels in
Thanks for the review. I was looking to get a plasma cutter this year and I thinking about trying the cheaper one but I believe we will drop the money and get a better one.
Awesome video Andy
Good info Andy.
Thank you for sharing that
That was interesting to see . We use a few cheap cutters on our service trucks that cut up to 35mm without any real holdback . I am sure they were under 1000€ . I believe they are made in Poland . Handy to have where the acetylene torch is too brutal .
That was a great review Andy. Thanks! I'm an industrial electronics tech & have a piece of advice. Open up your electronic welders & plasma cutters. Get info from the cooling fans and buy spares. Check them periodically for end play and bearings. Replace them before failure. Much cheaper than transistors. Best brand is Comair-Rotron.

@@bw523 Cool. I'm living rent free in your mind. Sad thing that it's like a slum in there.😂🤣😂
thanks man for the review
Nicely done on the review, buy once cry once is the old saying. You get what you pay for, thanks for the ride along Andy 👍🍺🍺
We have the hypertherm pm65 with the 50’ torch. Been worth the price of admission. For the occasional user I am sure the titanium would be fine as long as you know it’s limit. Good to know about their extended warranty
Hey thank you
Nice demo Andy. Always wondered how those worked.
Hi Andy thanks for video man I just purchased this unit 45a I use it to build pig cooker and so forth works well for me so far great video again man God bless 🙌🏾
always buy a name brand like miller, lincoln ,i have a therama dynamics cut master 100 cuts up to 1 inch steel, can cut 1 1/4 " shear , brought in the late 80s still working as it came out the box, you need a air line filter/dryer on it so it last longer & cuts better
Hi thanks for the video. The HF to me is just a consumer model something I wouldn't buy after listening to your review. I have found that Princess Auto good place to get somethings but they do buy alot of over stock and once there sold out cant get. Thanks again your time entertainment for us. Have a great day
Thank you for taking time out of your already busy day dam good review
Thanks. I have hypertherm smallest one
Thanks for the review, Andy.
Their sure is a lot of things breaking down. You know it doesn’t make a bit of difference about what you buy, you can always count on one thing and that is it’s going to fail on you when you need it.
You then get to enjoy the privilege of throwing it in the garbage or the scrap bin. This gives you the opportunity to rebuy and start the cycle all over again.
You also can count on that the replacement is going to cost a whole lot more than the old one did.
That’s just the way it is.
Be careful and stay safe. 😀
Awesome video Andy, hello from North Dakota, great review love the videos
Andy, I have the Hypertherm 45 and love it. Go for the Hypertherm 60 and you won't regret it.
Good video Andy 👍
A great review even though I've never used one
thanks fot the video andy
thank you for sharing.
For me I'll keep my old one . Served me well for 24 years. I don't understand why you can't find a new one I checked with my supplier and they have 10 in stock. Oxygen Service Company, St. Paul Minnesota. Now the was two weeks ago.
You can also check to see if your supplier has any rental units for sale. They are one or two years old and usually sell at a good discount. That's where my wire feed welder came from. Miller 225 amp. For $1200.
Excellent video
Great review! I was wondering how HF stuff faired against better brand name cutters Thanks Andy!
Thanks for the review. You just may have saved someone some money
I’ve always wanted a plasma cutter I need to get one the older I get the less steady I get trying to cut things with the torch
Great review. Try to do another review in a year. Thanks for the great videos. 👍👍
Old school rules💪💪
I actually think the old one done better than new one too bad you can't find parts for the old one great video
very through and enough to show your better off in the long run to buy a quality unit
Pretty much how I thought it'd perform. This line of their tools is great for a hobbyist or something in a pinch. I just reviewed their Titanium 125 welder and came to the same kind of conclusions.
Many product reviewers conceal the reason you shouldn't buy the product. I would trust you 100% to not sugar coat (your words) anything. Thanks Andy.
PS: I still laughing at the New Year's Day fry-up
Good review
Ok Andy I know what to buy. Thanks
I never was a fan of Harbor freight until I got the 1 inch Earth quake impact now ive kinda changed my mind a bit. Yes some people do listen to what you say! 👍👍👍
lol
andy i feel i am in a mechanic class and am learning from the master when i watch your videos and never want to graduate
Good evening Andy hope all is well Down On The Farm
I just bought a Jack&Dave Plasma Cutter CUT50D Real 50 Amps 110V/220V Dual Voltage DC Inverter IGBT Non-Touch Pilot Arc Cutting Machine Clean Cut which another guy I work with bought and it came labeled as a Cut 50 w/o the Df for only $182 on Amazon.
Will let you know if it was worth the money or not.
One guy on Amazon wrote that he was Cutting 3/16 & setting power at 30A and air at 80 psi and great results cutting 1" holes.
Good review, honestly that harbor freight unit isn’t terrible. Like you said if it’s someone using it heavy in a shop daily its probably not the best route. My brother has a Hypertherm 65 he wants $1,500 bucks for I was thinking about. I have one older Hypertherm that is starting to act flaky as well, looking for a good place to send it out for repair. That’s a good point about parts not being available with the older ones though.
$1500 is a good deal
Andy, I am actually a sales representative for the welding supplier from where you get your gas from. And unfortunately Hypertherm is seeing shipping delays. Hopefully this gets better soon. You can't go wrong with either the 45xp or the 65. Have a good one!!!!
Hypertherm warranty, 3years on power source. 1 year on torch.
The HF gun looks very similar to thermal dynamics consumables, not saying they are a exact match though!
Thanks bud you guys are great by the way
Would be fun with a farm story. How long your farm has been in the family and what you mainly do. And so on. Great videos👍👍 /SWEDEN
Thanks for the review. I am in the market for one and for a weekend warrior the titanium will work ok is what I gather your saying.
Yes it will do you fine
Great review. Thanks! You are Adam Carolla's voice twin btw 😁
From the information you supplied in this video I reckon you'll be returning the titanium 45 cutter and purchasing the more expensive but better hypertherm!
3 year warranty on the Hypertherm. The 45XP is a 5/8 rated(20" per minute) and will sever 1-1/8". The 45XP will also gouge and will accept flushcut consumables.
If you can ever demo one you will be impressed.
The HF torch is likely a copy of a Trafimet. Consumables would likely be best sourced from HF.
Now I see why I thought you got a new machine, you have replaced the 800s torch with a Duramax replacement torch.
The newer one worked better on the 220, 110 seemed like more heat was transferred to the piece being cut and you had some warping going on. The pro is it speeds cutting/production, the con is you can't use it to apply heat.
That little titan would be a good little unit for the service truck for doing barn gate repairs pair that with the miller welder that has 220
Good Vid Andy have a beer and relax
FYI If you want to replace the torch on almost any Plasma cutter you can use any brand you like, put a Hypertherm torch on the Titanium if you like.
Amazon sells leads that will fit the Titanium unit.
