    I just bought mine today. First plasma cutter I've ever owned, haven't used a plasma cutter since high school in the early 2000!! I made a few cuts with this thing and was pretty impressed with how clean it cuts, though my technique could use lots of improvement!
    My air compressor is a 30 gal 5.2 SCFM @ 90 PSI. Not much bigger than yours. So far, no issues. I did buy a water/oil filter and air dryer combo, also from Harbor Freight, to help make sure the air is conditioned better before feeding it into the plasma cutter. I think that was a good decision as before, I could see the moisture spraying out of the hose when blowing air with a blow gun.

      You know I think I'm gonna take a second look at getting an inline dryer myself. Thank you for the insight.

    I just watched 5 videos on this machine. By far the best video. If you are not an instructor you easily could be 2👍

    I just scored on of these units at a flea market yesterday for $120 bucks. It didn’t come with any of the accessories, didn’t even have the torch or the ground, just the unit all by itself. But ordered the torch for $150 from HF with free shipping. So, less than $300 for everything i need, i feel like i scored pretty good after seeing this vid. Thanks!

    First time Welder and cutter so can you use a better cutter head for this (Bigger Electrode) ? If so can you research and list them. Nice Video for me to understand better what I'm doing, especially the safety, and preventive tips.

      I'm glad you got a lot out of this video! Please ask any questions you may have going forward. That's what this channel is all about. As for your question, no. These tools are designed specifically with the consumables(electrode and tip) built by the manufacturer. I would recommend using those exclusively to prevent possible damage to your machine.

    SCFM measures the value at “ideal” temperature and pressure conditions, while CFM measures the “actual” air flow rate.

    Will i need to use a 45 amp breaker or can i use my 30 amp breaker with the 240v?

    • @steelforestweldingandforge
      @steelforestweldingandforge  8 місяців тому

      Good question! Unfortunately I am one hundred percent not qualified to answer that. I can tell you that I had my breaker box and power input upgraded to 220V and have two dedicated circuits for my buisness. One 220v plug and one 110v. You can find all of the user manuals to harbor freights tools on their app and website. I would check that.

    What you say is it compatible with single phase 220 volts and how much is whole thing please. ??

    • @steelforestweldingandforge
      @steelforestweldingandforge  Рік тому

      Yes compatible with 220 and 110. Do you mean price for the entire setup including compressor and hosing?

    How can i cut close to an inside 90 degree angle with that u-shaped tip guard on there? Seems like it would block me from getting right up against the 90 degree angle?

    • @steelforestweldingandforge
      @steelforestweldingandforge  5 місяців тому

      Good queation. The guard is removable. You can also pull back your torch from the work piece a little as well.

    Have you used fine cut consumables with this machine for finer cuts?

    • @steelforestweldingandforge
      @steelforestweldingandforge  Рік тому +1

      To be honest this is the first time I have heard of fine cut consumables. I'll have to look into them.

    So pissed its so expensive! I love my titanium 125 welder but this is just too damn pricey

      I also have a review of the Bestarc Gen 7 plasma cutter. It's not available for purchase yet. But it gives good credence to the bestarc brand. They are much cheaper than the titanium brand.
