My Rainbow was given to me by my Grams as a wedding present 23 yrs ago. It has lost a wheel due to some rough cleaning by my teenage boys. (Can't complain...they did clean and did a good job) I was able to find the replacement wheel on Amazon for $12. Cleaning will be so much easier now- being able to use the dolly again. (much strain has been placed on the hose attachment...as I've been pulling the vacuum this way. I wouldn't recommend this) Thank you so much for your video. I have 100% confidence that I can fix it by myself.
😀Thanks for the great video as watched several times to finally get old wheels off. Initially even the hammer method wasn't budging them. Then I sprayed WD-40 under each one, after screwdriver was holding release tab. After a few hours, that seemed to be the trick I needed to get those old wheels off. 😁
You can definitely get the smudges on the dolly completely off with “denatured alcohol.” The only thing stronger you can use is acetone, but acetone will take the paint off. Vac shops and vacuum rebuilders use denatured alcohol to revamp the cosmetics of a vacuum in addition to replacing worn parts.
