- Moevil and Bo take flight in two Supermarine legends. I put off upgrading this aircraft a bit after the release of the Fleet Air Arm patch to focus on the two Fireflies... this aircraft was kinda a nice surprise.

Has quite a bit more power under the hood at low alt though than a comparable regular Griffon, though.

As soon as I started seeing biplane's in my la-5 I just uninstalled the game. No point in playing such a bad MM and tiering system. Either over tiered or under tiered. No middle ground whatsoever so I'll just play Armored Warfare until War Thunder gets it shit straightened out

+Alex Mitchell yeah I started Russians ages ago and stopped playing them after t2. Tier 1 just felt so bad using a yak with a 20mm against biplanes with 2 7.6s it really makes no sense
+Alex Mitchell The game has been broken since forever, but it's actually been getting worse and worse since 1.37. The devs are moronic so it will never be fixed, and add the fact that most of the community is made up of people like +Bf 190 K-4 and you have an incredibly frustrating game....I'd just give up on it altogether if I were you, we need to boycott gaijin and stop giving them money.

The Seafire 17 is easily a top 3 favorite plane for me to fly in RB. Similar to the Spitfire Vc in the earlier Spit models, the Seafire 17 is the slowest Griffon Spitfire/Seafire but has the tightest turn. Another feature I love about the 17 is it's performance at lower altitudes reminding me the Spit LF mk9 but with a Griffon engine.

I've been playing for a while now, the AAA used to be somewhat reasonable, and now its deadly. In real life AAA rarely hit anything other than bombers.
And even in orbit I've been sniped haha
Tabris Hayayi here's the thing, i want to have warthunder be completely realistic. But it's not, and until they fix those issues, having realistic AAA would be HORRIBLE. guess what? you headed back to your airfield to re-arm. B-29 appears out of nowhere, along with 5 skyraiders. you're fucked, because the AAA won't hit them, and your out of ammo. Your team is too stupid to attack. Either that, or the XP aircraft murder you over your airfield and have 0 bad results because of AAA.

Bo, I've noticed in a lot of your videos that you quickly fall into scissoring.
If you practice timing it right, you can fly into a deadly corkscrew instead. It will be hard to explain but I'll try; it's a move that's become one of my personal aces up my sleeve.
Scenario: You, at some point, are turning right, and your target will turn *from* right *to* left, in front of you. Instead of "lining up" counter to his path to try get that one single fatal hit that in most cases miss - try instead to prematurely roll your plane left, so that your cockpit face the direction he's heading. Then pull up and gain altitude at about 30 degrees, roll your plane upside down, pull up (your plane will continue in a corkscrew, this time downwards), continue rolling and pulling until you are below or level with his path of previous flight, continue rolling if your cockpit doesn't face the direction he's heading yet. Once your cockpit is, all you need to do is pull up and you'll have the better inertia, and have a much clearer shot *AND* you will be on his tail, with greater inertia. If your speed is too high, simply repeat a corkscrew. Larger/more for more approach time, lesser/fewer turns/rolls to keep pace.
If you manage to roll and turn a milisecond BEFORE your paths cross, and you understand the maneuver, he'll more often than not be dead in the next few seconds if he doesn't change path *upwards* quickly or doesn't lose a lot of speed quickly! Also, you'll be able to quickly judge your next maneuver; if he continues to turn left, he's dead. If he rolls right, you're already in a roll and can easily continue the corkscrew a quarter turn and you'll be on his tail nevertheless and he's dead. If he turns down immediately, he's dead, you'll be on his tail. If he turns down when you're levelling out, quick judgement should be able to decide when you should continue the roll/turn if so, and you'll be on his tail.
The only danger if is he turns upwards the same moment you do. Then *he* might get inertia on *you*. Or an upward scissoring may ensue and the best power/weight ratio may win.
I hope this can help anybody wanting to improve a part of their flying that they might not yet have tried?
In short: Instead of to "scythes" cutting each others path (scissoring), your first move, at first interception, will be to (perhaps) counter-intuitively, (prematurely)change roll/path (ultimately *before* your paths cross), do a half loop into a semi- or full corkscrew that will slowly or quickly eat him up.
This also works in outmaneuvering planes with greater maneuverability, but only if the other pilot isn't experienced, and seldom works if you have significant lower inertia.
In that case, cutting the throttle (if he's behind you) and initiating scissoring to make him overshoot is the best choice.
*PS:* In a few cases, initiating the maneuver too quickly, if you're in a very even scissor and at the same height, will place you in danger of crashing, in that case, either quickly lose height before initiating the maneuver, or wait until the very milisecond he's passed (so instead of scissoring right you turn up and then roll and turn left as said before)
OH and this can also be used to make an attempt at escape; if you manage to get him continue the scissor, and you level out after the half-loop. If you have a quicker plane/less loss of speed, he'll have a *VERY* hard time catching up, as he will have to make almost a full 360 degree turn, while you do closer to 180.
This does not work at low speeds, though, as the loss of speed in turning decrease exponentially.
Edit: Haha and finally... (*WALL OF TEXT YEAH*) it looks sweet. You can even turn on aerobatics smoke and practice this with a friend. Even watch 2 friends do it, or record it. The smoke will reveal the wonders :)
+SebSk I know this sounds similar to High Yo-Yo, Barrel Roll or Rolling Scissors, but it's kind of a mix of all of them.. neither of these really solely describes nor is a sole solution to the situation.
Obviously, if you're the attacker, from above, you'll need to lose air speed if scissors commence. Similarly, as a defender, you can't let him get behind you.
I wish I could show you, it's kinda like a Rollin Scissors, but initiated *from* flat scissors, *starting* with a barrel roll or high yo-yo, depending on if he continues a long turn, or tries to continue flat scissors, back into rolling scissors..
Could you explain more on this? Excited to try it out!

I love that corsair, I've gotten ace in that more than anything else. I do think it's a little heavy underpowered though. can't wait for the new lighter more powerful corsair to join the game.

+Kyle Manuel Well it is a Naval Plane. Any aircraft that can take on and off a carrier is by nature heavier due to added equipment.
your average warthunder P-51 pilots are literally the worst in the game
+GHOSTOFONYX10 you know youre in trouble on the allied team when at the beginning of the match you see in the kill feed "P51D has destroyed AAA". But to play devils advocate, most new to WT go the US tree in the english speaking parts of the world, takes a while to breed a pilot capable of learning how to play high alt performance fighters, where to climb and when to turn in - let alone the energy curves of both yourself and your opponent.
