It's like Gaijin Anti-Air programming has two modes, laaaaaaaaazy easy... throw it in the air n see if it hits? Cool... it hit. Then there's "Alright he's going to follow that valley I want guns seven and nine pre-aimed 30 degrees ahead of his estimated course! Guns one through four will aim in this cone *Draws a cone* and guns five and six will load armor piercing for the lulz.
Arcamean definitely have had one snipe the wing off of my Lancaster at 5000m alt. Getting ready to drop the big 4000kg bomb and one shot later was barrel rolling into the ground

my favorite plane in low tier too.
I love that plane! I've played with it at tier IV in a squad and actually killed a bunch of guys. Always fun to be the underdog. People just assume you are cheating when you kill tier IV germans and russians in a tier II plane.
I would love it if you would play the Lancaster in a formation of three planes. Can you do this?

God i can't think about the amount of times ive gone down blue on blue because some trigger-happy 12 year old tore through my plane to get to the one i was chasing...
The mk13 torpedo didn't work,the ordinance board didn't realize for over a year because the paperwork was filled out correctly. When they finally did a live fire test it was removed from service with no replacement.

7:20 Oh yea ? I had to fight an SBD head on in an SBD...and we had air-brakes deployed...it wasn't very pleasant...I returned to base with 1 and a half wings...other guy lost his head...don't mind the incendiary hot dogs of freedom...

Bo was on the deck at full throttle going 246mph. the Wildcat's top speed is somewhere above 200mph. I know War Thunder wants to keep it fair but come on.
Enterprise206 the F4F-3 could go above 330 mph for its max speed... Furthermore, Wildcats were very well built and could go well past it’s 330 mph as a matter of fact. Pilots have recorded going 380 knots in a Wildcat.
The F4F also has a 1200 hp Pratt and Whitney engine. Only going 200mph for a max for that big of an engine would be impossible.

In a patch in 1.55, the e-4 109 had a slightly broken FM but a horrible DM. I went after a bot beaufort and one 7.7 hit my water cooling, killing it instantly, the next my engine, setting it on fire, then my elevator and i went into a flatspin. all with just 3 7.7's...
great ending now you just have to get out of the burning wreck Bo :P

+wolfbyte3171 -3 has a noticeable performance difference, and the WEP it has is useful. Personally, I prefer that one.

Hey bo if you like 50's then you need to fly the f-82 with its new flight model and gun pod with 8 50's added to its 6 others it's a lazier

+FlyAround5 6 of them centerlined are more than enough. The gunpod impedes the performance of the F-82, but even worse than that... it totally fucks the handling. Even the 2 2000lb bomb load feels only a little worse concerning handling than the gunpod. Listed weight of that pod in the game is 1174kg, thats over 2500 pounds(!!) suddenly hanging centerline and below the line(s) of thrust...
To illustrate the difference on a spaded plane: You go from outrunning every single soviet prop plane at every altitude, even at sea level, to getting caught by La-9s at 4000 meters.
You go from keeping up in a sustained climb with a P-38L, to just barely outclimbing a Mosquito FB Mk VI.
At the same speeds, you go from being able to pull a sudden 9-10 G turn to maybe 6-7 Gs. You go from being able to hang with a 109 in a rolling scissor at 500 kph, to being outrolled by a frickin Typhoon!
And I won't even mention the effect it has on low speed handling, because 1. You should never be anywhere below 400 kph in the F-82 except maybe in the initial sustained climb to altitude, and 2. I want to ban the memory of it out of my head... yes, it is that bad.
The more experienced players won't ever use gunpods on their Bf 109s, and the 109s lose much less performance than the F-82 by using them.
The only thing its good for is ground attack medium tanks, where only 6 M3 Brownings with default or ground attack belt often take more than one pass to kill one. The additional ammo also lets you kill more of them, of course.
Or... if you plan to exclusively do head on attacks. But why would you do that, when you can easily outrun anything that is not a jet and come back from a superior position? :P
+Marcel Ebert I find with the gunpod, anything you shoot at, if it hits, it's dead. I have, however, found a bug in which almost all aircraft you shoot at with AP-I with the gunpod attached detonates after a three second burst... Unless it isn't a bug and that's what happens.
