I've had this same jointer for several years. Works great, no issues.
Glad to hear it. Thanks for watching the video.
Very detailed review on your jointer. I like the stand you built also. A 6" jointer works for most jobs, I have one also. Mine does not do well with hardwood though.
Thanks for watching the video and comments. Yeah that stand was the first thing I did. I didn't want to put that on any of my bench tops I felt that would be way too high.
It's a nice machine, does what it's supposed to
Not everyone can afford big commercial equipment
You got that right. Thanks for watching.
i have a similar benchtop jointer. small but effective.the only thing i have with this machine that is, when it runs and the spinning blades, i always afraid of the machine. so i used it only when i really have to..
Thanks for watching the video. Yes they can be very dangerous always be extra careful you want to keep all your fingers.
Great informational video. Nice job.
Thank you
Very nice presentation. What is the longest piece you have done without additional out feed table ?Do you joint only 2 sides or you do all four sides without using a table saw ? I appreciate your feed back.
Thank you. Some of the longest pieces that I've done have been around 55" but not very often. I usually keep it around 36" to 48". I always start with the face of the board once the face is flat then I go to one edge using the fence I place the flattened face up against the fence and then I flatten the edge. This face and edge will be my reference points on the table saw to cut the next edge and then I use the planer to finish up using the flattened face as the reference point to cut the last face of the board. Thanks for your comment / question.
Since I do not have a planer can I do the other face on the jointer too ?
@@bijan4727 might be difficult to do because you would have to keep the first edge that you squared up against the fence flat up against the fence while you flatten the second face. Still there won't be any guarantee that you'll get all four sides square.
Where can I purchase
I got mine from Amazon $299.00 Lowe's has it for $349.
Where can I buy in uk
Looks like you can buy the Craftsman jointer on eBay in the UK and the blades can bought on Amazon UK.
Lowes if u want the warranty to work beyond 90 days or ace hardware anywhere else u get nothing but 90 days warranty that's why I don't buy off Amazon

Thanks
It does two side then you run flattened side through a planner to get other side flat to joiner side that's flat wish u could all four side with it tho for sure save money that way but in real world that's how it's supposed to be done
