- Recently picked up this Jointer and this is some details on putting it together, setting it up and running a piece of wood through it. I can't say how good it is just yet because it is new and we expect things to function properly out of the box, right? This particular model has lots of bad reviews but right now I am happy with this tool. If your looking closely at these you will see that they all pretty much look the same, so I imagine only a few companies make them and then they throw different manufacture names on them. Anyways, so far, so good, time & use will tell the story and I plan to update later on.
Thanks for your time and hope this helps you in some way.
Best,

Also very helpful. Thanks for taking the time.
I just bought that model and your video helped me a lot to get it ready. Thank you so much! Greetings from Veracruz, Mexico !.
How is it working so far?
I bought this jointer, thanks for the great video
Thanks for the veryful helpful video!!
Your welcome, I'm glad it helped out.
I just bought this model and was putting it together and was having a little difficulty with assembly. Its my first jointer. Your video confirmed that I was doing it right and I learned a few things not in the manual. Thank you so much.
Hi, thanks for your efforts in making this video, my only negative would be the the primary lack of narration and then the near inaudible audio where it does exist, anyway thanks again for your efforts.
I would like to order this but don't no how
Hi this was an excellent elaborated presentation. What is the longest piece you have done without adding an out feed extension. I appreciate your input. Thanks
Helpful, thank you. But , like watching grass grow.
Noted!
Hi. What is the name of that spray ? I take it is some kind of a wax . If it is a wax , can I use winmax on it ? How often should I put wax on it ? I appreciate your input.
The spray I use is something I got a long time ago called Fast Wax. It's a simple spray on and wipe off and the can says it contains Carnauba wax. If you use wax out of a can or bottle, let it dry first before you take it off. I think any kind of car wax would work because you are putting it on a piece of metal. I always respray mine when I notice some friction either by the wood I am pushing across it or if I rub it with the back of my hand and it doesn't feel slick. Hope this helps.
What do you think so far, I am about to run out to lowes LOL
I have not used it with heavy work, but with some short projects it has worked excellent.
So far I am happy with it. As long as you understand this is not a piece for heavy commercial use and just use it for the typical DIY projects, it should work fine.
Any updates on how its held up so far?
So far, so good. I haven't had any issues with it. Like I said, I don't use this everyday but when I need it, I am glad I have it.
Where did u get the add on dust chute..I need 1..tks
Hello, if you're referring to the plastic piece where the vacuum hose connects to, it came with the planer.
@@steveshome yes that's what I was wondering about..I bought 1 second hand and it doesn't have that piece..I'll have to c if I can find 1..tks for getting back to me
No problem. I just looked in the manual and it doesn't give any kind of part number for it but maybe you could find parts online. Maybe a piece of 1/4 plywood with a hole just large enough to fit your hose would work good enough? Good Luck!
I can't believe I sat through 15 min of this.
This could’ve been a less creepy 5 min video
come on man you did a 40 minute video with no talking..
Thanks Steve. I appreciate you putting this up. It was helpful.
You're welcome. Mine is still working good so no complaints so far.
