    This is my experience with the Gupta Program after going through the DNRS program (and how they compare). Personally, I'm healing from ehlers-danlos syndrome (EDS), dysautonomia / POTS, cervical instability, chiari malformation, and more. Brain rewiring and nervous system regulation have been a HUGE part of my recovery.

    I’m doing DNRS and it clearly explains the science behind rewiring the brain. I I have a DNRS coach, who has told me in no uncertain terms that there are days when you may not complete your 60 minutes of rounds - - and that’s completely OK. The community forum is also a very valuable resource, where people can ask questions and share their experience. I also participate in a 12 week group on zoom led by someone who has recovered using DNRS, and the group provides much needed support and answers questions about the program, making it all more effective. I don’t have any experience with the Gupta program.

    I have started with DNRS and I am finding the visualization part to be what's stressing me out, so now I'm looking into Gupta. This is helpful! And I agree with you that it's outdated to demonize red meat, but it's preferable from both a health and environmental perspective if you can get it from regenerative sources....

    Great job! Thank you for sharing all of that. I love the hardware/software analogy… and at the same time think it’s the corniest thing ever 😂. One thing I would add to the fact that you have everything within you to heal and do the work, is that we also need each other. I haven’t been following you for more than a week so you’ve probably touched upon that at some point. I just discovered “slowing down” the other day and my body was super receptive, unbelievable. I did dnrs and then gupta as well. I think that was the best journey for me. I think if I had not done the bootcamp style dnrs thing I would have not persisted (especially since I have aphantasia, I probably would have used that and other reasons to not fully commit.) Conisitency and actively engaging all aspects is what makes it a recovery program and makes the magic happen. When I went to gupta I really understood how the healing works because the bootcamp perfection vibe was actually a sign of danger. So the persistence is important but with a chill/compassionate vibe. The slow motion technique helped me too

    This was very helpful to me. I've recently heard about brain retraining, mostly from people who had chronic fatigue. I don't have chronic fatigue. One training program rejected me from his program, saying that I wasn't qualified for it. I do not have a specific diagnosis for any of the illnesses that these programs list but I do definitely feel I need nervous system regulation. One of the commenters here said that Gupta requires a diagnosis. I don't have a specific diagnosis from an MD. Is this necessary?

I’m not a really meditation person (some minutes are ok, but not 1h every day. So I am a bit more for Gupta but hestitate because of the amount of mediation and not knowing what does DNRS instead. Btw Gupta already costs 450 whereas DNRS is still 350). 😢

    Don’t forget if you are age 37/38+, estrogen and progesterone are naturally declining (by menopause they are at zero). These hormones play a role in regulating the autonomic nervous system and immune system, which is why menopause often brings so many disease onsets such as osteoporosis and autoimmunity. The natural decline of these substances has real consequences for our nervous system that should not be discounted. Natural HRT though controversial, actually has a lot of serious benefits including helping the body to regulate these systems, as well as reduce risks for osteoporosis, heart disease, systemic inflammation, and chronic pain.

    • @sambbbb
      @sambbbb 10 місяців тому +5

      I have ASD/ADHD and Primal Trust has helped significantly with certain symptoms that I now realize were actually more nervous system dysregulation than neurodivergence. I'm in an ASD mini-group within Primal Trust and many of them have noticed similar things, so it's not just me. I'll also note that at least half my study group (people that started the program around the same time as me) has ADHD.
      Focus is a skill and ADHD can be improved through things like simple meditation, let alone a whole program designed for ANS regulation. Slowing down means focusing on the thing you're doing, and when my mind veers off I keep dragging it back to the task at hand no matter how less interesting it is. I'm actually doing mentally better now almost entirely off adhd meds due to all this work than I was previously at a perfect dose.
      TLDR: Regulate the nervous system and many AuDHD symptoms improve.

    The thing that has me really concerned is that both websites look almost identical, and both cost $350, as if they're part of the same scam template. Not to mention they both seem to be very aggressive about getting you to buy the full package.
    The thing that intrigues me is that there really does seem to be a mental component to these illnesses, and that they advertise holistic, noninvasive treatment.
    I've been suffering from Crohn's for about 3 years, and because of that suffering from fibra for about 1. My symptoms started around a super stressful, traumatic point in my life and I've always been a super stressed/negative person, so I think I can see the relation. I've thusfar gotten a lot more relief for my pain and indigestion from the holistic docs/medicine I've been partaking in than the establishment docs that have been shilling pharma garbage that just makes things worse.
    I'm interested to see if these symptoms will stop through these brain retraining methods, but they're long commitments and somewhat pricey. Any input would be appreciated. Do you recommend anything in a similar vein that's free?
    Similarly, how exactly did you get in contact with them that they take your name as a promo code?

    • @HealingWithRachael
      @HealingWithRachael  9 місяців тому +21

      Thanks for your comment. I can see where you're coming from, but neither DNRS or Gupta is a scam-they even offer money back if people aren't happy with the programs. The programs themselves aren't claiming to heal people from chronic illness, but rather give tools to help to regulate the nervous system so that our bodies can heal themselves. These concepts are not commonly taught/known so that's why these courses can be so beneficial for those with chronic illness. They are very comprehensive and well done, and in my opinion priced very affordably for the benefit most people gain from what they learn.
      That being said, I wouldn't recommend Gupta/DNRS to people who aren't willing to put in the effort required. It's hard work to do brain retraining, but so worth it.
      It makes me sad that just because they have to charge money for the course, people would assume it to be a scam. The people that created these programs likely spent years developing them and deserve to make a living. A single doctors appointment can cost more than one of these programs do. And what I learned from the DNRS program quite literally was the best money I have spent on my health.
      You're right, I am now an affiliate with the program, meaning I may make a small commission if someone purchases the program through one of my links. But I was sharing about it long before I became an affiliate. ❤️️ This is just a small way to help me continue creating lots of free content. I would never promote/share about something that I didn't believe in-and will continue to be honest about pros/cons about these sorts of programs.

      She does a great job of identifying the differences- which for me at least has helped me decide which I want to try.
      Be well!

      Try them. You will never know unless you try them for yourself. They are not scams. This is where your negative perception of things and people won’t help

      you can find many free mindfulness programs. There is a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction that has a bunch of clinical research, but it is not too dissimilar to other types of mindfulness training. I am appreciating Nerva Gut-directed hypnotherapy which is about as effective as FODMAP diets and also emerged out of Monash University. Progressive relaxation works for many as well.

    Do you know of any program specifically designed to calm the nervous system for kids-for anxiety (not any physical illness)?

      That’s a great question. Personally I don’t know of any specific programs for kids, and will look into it as now I’m curious myself. These are some examples of things I’ve heard from friends that have children & work on nervous system regulation with them: reducing overstimulating shows, connection with nature, somatic practices (sarah jackson coaching is a great resource for this), minimizing processed foods & sugar, minimizing blue light exposure, reducing extracurricular activities if they are causing stress, etc. Obviously I can’t speak from experience but I think it would be great if more resources for children and youth were available. 😊

      I think Cathleen King (of Primal Trust) is in the process of creating a kid's program.

    Anyone done Dr Joe Dispenza's program and either Gupta or DNRS? If so what are your thoughts? Thanks 🙏🏻

      I JUST started dnrs but have been doing dr. Joe's work for a few years. Both compliment each other

      Dispenza’s stuff for me is better as his meditations can be just followed and the visualisation of the future self are just integrated through my day. Gupta does a great job explaining the neurophysiology but is incredibly cheesy and boring. Obsession with diet is also not needed and problematic. The DNRS creator from the get go has been overly secretive about their system and used to charge $1200 for the video course so I am not a fan and there is so much now available there is no need for that. I also really like HMR and fasterEFt, not regular eft. Kinda obsessed with mind body and nervous system regulation now. Oh and somatic drawing…good too. Had MCS for over 20 years and many other chronic pain issues. I am 99% cured. Occasional small flare ups but mostly good as gold. It did take me a long time. Really it comes down to engendering feelings of safety, reminding yourself nothing is actually wrong with you, just an overactive whatever it is and rehearsing it all. I find it much better to integrate it through the day than to consciously try to do exercises for an hour.

      @@atelier27 thanks for your reply. Pleased to hear how far you have come.
      Are you familiar with Primal Trust and Smart Body Smart Mind? Both utilize somatics. The safety piece is key.

      @@robster7012 I have heard of smart body smart mind before. I had just forgotten about it. I like the interviews with the founder but I will never pay $2000.00 for an online “group” course. (That is a post advanced follow up cost with Joe dispenza live and in person for 3 consecutive days, meals included, just for comparison:) So much of this is available for free or at least affordable. I am so glad to be living in these times!
      The Primal Trust seems very interesting. While I think obsessing about diet etc makes things worse I acknowledge that getting the inflammation down in my body (for me this was supplements, I won’t say which because everyone is different when it comes to them) more than diet. I already didn’t eat sugar, processed etc and nothing changed until supplements. Then I could exercise and meditate and more. We have a mind/body and a body/mind for sure. I am just careful to bring it up cause many with these types of issues go nuts with their anti-candida, vegan, carnivore etc diets. I think primal trust taps into a lot of Kriya yoga techniques. The best guy to look at on that is Forrest Knutson (UA-camr). It is often far easier to use your physiology to change your mental state than the other way around. Cheers.

    I've found with my mold illness that I get in a hurry or my thoughts begin to race when I've eaten foods I'm allergic to or have been in a moldy environment. SAMe helps my mind to slow down. My best brain retraining happens when I read my Bible!
