@@BriansLawnMaintenance Did you meet his wife? Shes a hoot !!! I wish he had her on his channel more, shes just the right amount of crazy to keep Matt in line i think! haha
@@warrenmichael918 only time I've seen his wife is at the church cleaning. You're painting a different much better picture of what I gathered from there.
@@dans_Learning_Curve She seems real nice the few times shes been on video. Im sure its a little played up for the camera but she seems like she can be a handful, in a good way though. She gives Matt hell when he has her try things or help him work on stuff! I just think she would be the star of the channel if she were to become more involved.
I think I’m 100% safe in saying I’ve watched every You Tube video produced by Matt at Diesel Creek. Safe also to say I’m a fan, through and through. Although I’ll never be one to resurrect legacy heavy equipment, I will be that fan sitting on pins and needles waiting for the next Diesel Creek episode. Guess I’m just a Semi-Super-fan, to the core!
This is fantastic! Matt does a superb job with his channel and his genuine joy when he takes a rusty piece of junk and gets it to run and work for him is unmatched on UA-cam.
Matt's a GOOD guy and me being an old school (REALLY) driver and operator he really gets my attention! Thanks Brian and I've done lawn care too. Got several construction bags full of different hats I've worn over the years. BLESSINGS!
Matt is the coolest guy and an awesome mechanic and maintenance man for his equipment! I’ve followed his channel from the start and enjoyed every video! He’s the man with the plan and it’s a awesome plan! He started from scratch and I’ve seen it, this new shop is definitely a blessing for him! Now he doesn’t have to work in the mud anymore! Hey, thanks for sharing friend!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👌🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Love Matt's channel, he gets into some machines that are really interesting. Brian, you sound like a believer, and a nice guy in general, I'm really glad that you and Matt are teaming up, God bless!!!
Matt's a great guy and an incredible mechanic. I've been a subscriber for over 3 years and have so far watched about 80% of his video stock. Waiting patiently for the next installment!
Thanks Bryan I love Diesel Creek and have been a regular viewer Since COVID-19 So I'm all too familiar About Matt's trials and tribulations On building a shop And developing is property . But it was great That you kind of tied it all together in 1 video I am very appreciative Of your effort So thanks
Appreciate you doing these Brian! I’m working on building a shop for my business but can’t decide on size of office space so this helps me a ton seeing all these. Keep ‘em coming 🤙🏼
I love Matt and Diesel Creek he is the best of youtube! Better than "AVE" IMHO. Radiant heat is worth every penny it cost you, nothing better on earth ( had it in 1st house and still miss) what ever it cost it is worth it. You have the best person I can think of ( Matt) to guide you on a shop design ( always something you think of after the fact no matter who you are) having a great design is so important! FWIW I am retired Electrical Engineer. I think it is great that Matt is going to try and use the shop as a shop and not for storage, it is a great way to work but I don't think it is possible ( not for me anyway). I suspected Matt was off the grid re: his electric, I think for someone like Matt even though he is in PA it may be cost effective not to go on the grid? it is going to cost a fortune to run power down that driveway and I am not sure he will be able to get 3 phase power that he should have? Matt if you see this, about how much will it cost you to get the shop on the grid and can you get 3 phase power there?
Matt what a beautiful shop you built for yourself and that is a good looking shop dog I noticed, so I have a question, does that shop dog come with the purchase of the shop or is that a separate expense?
If nothing else just put the insulation and heat pipes in the floor when you pour your shop floor. Can always leave them unhooked and use a different heating system for the first bit. At least the pipes would be in the concrete if you decided you want to heat that way in a few years.
... With today's materials any lawn building, the structure should be transparent walls and roof, let the light in!!! Since 2000 we don't have to work in caves.... Literally buy a greenhouse, issues solved!!! But yes people gotta be brave and buy a greenhouse and be different!!!!! US gets sunlight in Feb .. Even here in MN
He really really really needs to get some acoustical deadening material into that place!!! When he starts using power tools in there it's going to be deafening!!! Can you imagine how many egg crates or styrofoam sheeting it will take to quiet that place down!
If you get a leak on the floor heating piping it will show up as a wet spot on the concrete. You then chip it out where the leak is and expose the pipe make a repair and pour grout to fill in the hole.
What thought i was watching Matt from Diesel Creek who are you LOL Im like a lot of people who have commented DIESEL CREEK FAN watched matt fulfilling his dreams......
I agree with wood heat!!!Coming from a guy who has cut tons of wood in his life time like 30 or more cords a summer or a year cutting your trees down on your Property makes your property less with every tree you cut...so really your better getting a Permit for the National Forest cut there....Trees are very Valuable and cutting them down because its convenient is really not smart and yes I used a wood boiler to heat my shop and home for more than twenty years!!! Let's just hope when you put the wisbow in your floor nobody pinched or bent any tubing.......because that would be a killer!!
He didn't mention how he got his channel name! LoL 😂😆 He was at work and got a call about his diesel bulk tank leaking and running into the creek!😂 I certainly wish I had half of his energy and charisma!
@@BriansLawnMaintenance ... Matt now is vigilant in soaking up chemicals, I'm guessing the Penn EPA as part of a friendly end to his dieseling the creek got a written agreement that he will be super vigilent. Which is fine, but I'm sure he had bad few months after that as lawyers and state people were not happy.... I do think any Maintenance Building should be TRANSPARENT for LIGHT AND MORALE REASONS, a greenhouse, we have the technology now it's clearly the best option. Sunlight is 30x even good shop lights in intensity, you can never out light the sun, it's hilarious how it would take 60 arc lights the sun is crazy wonderful bright yet we put up solid walls and then work in caves...
Iwatches Channel I have a farm up north of me I have a a burn it 64 by 125 it's a steel building and that in heat floors beautiful you can't beat it but I got a good deal on it so I bought it and there's always a tractor sitting in there in the one side my semi sits there but that cream and go corner to corner miniature saves your back
.. Matt is great. Maybe he could stay off grid electric, not for any big reason but just cuz he aint a bit electricty user. Just build lean-to with roof facing south of solar panels and batteries?? I live on sailboat and man cell phones are low power, lites low power, outside a home a mechanic rarely needs power... Just idea.. If his house has power he literally can just drag 20 batts monthly to charge..... Yes i know gotta spend money to be efficienter, just hes a low electric user why blow $100k on hooking up to grid
Oh my gosh this is the best collaboration ever!!!

The great choice of in floor heating , The slab holds a large amount of heat and releases it slowly keeping the shop warm overnight .
If I'm not mistaken it all starter over a freaking jeep. Amazing honestly love and enjoy mat myself .
Gotta wait till after work to watch but the thumbnail was a huge surprise should be a great one!

If a heated floor is an option, go for it. You won’t regret it. 👍
DIESEL CREEK does not need to collaborate with any one to be fantastic . matt is the man matt is diesel creek no one else.

Love Diesel creek channel but confused why no heavy-duty overhead crane was not installed/used.... super useful for heavy equip/engines and such.....
The footings are there for it and the crane is outside somewhere. It's coming!
He legit talks about it in the video 9:07
House crane bought at auction. Really want to see how he installs it.
