    I bet the airflow is much better now the oem piping looked thin. The pipes definitely improved the engine bay look.

      @@liamollen3105 yea the t6s with polestar tune are quick very fun and comfortable. Even thought mine with the stiffer springs isn't that comfortable anymore lol.

    I like what snabb did for the 3.0L intake system.. Never gonna pay that much for what it is tho, it is crazy expensive .. Glad someone else did it :P

      @@freezxng_moon It may be $50 in materials, but I imagine that are fairly limited run items. I doubt they're selling even in the three digits annually. they need to pay materials, manufacturing equipment, labor and a worthwhile profit. They aren't giving them away, but they aren't the most expensive.

      @@CowTypeSh Well.. I have to import it to Canada. That's a 400$ usd pipe. Conversion to cad $ + ship + '' covid tax '' ( yeah we get this ) .. I guess it's gonna end up a nearly 1k $ cad pipe. No filter yet. That filter with shield is 500$ usd. So yeah, to me it is expensive.

    Hey bratko.
    That "firewall" is a false one. It can be removed to improve access to the parts there. It's installed to improve noise suppression for cabin.

    I put the do 88 one on mine I like it minus the plastic engine cover looks kinda cheap

      I noticed the do88 is less bendy - possibly better airflow. But the Snabb IMO looks better because it’s polished.

    this video is perfect timing. answer so e questions i had. i bulit my own instead of buying that one. i didn't connect the boost controll or the crank vent hose and its running lean.
    You never got a check engine light running a differnt sized MAF tube?

      No i didnt get no cel with the maf tube. Only had cel with dowpipe with hfc.

    You sawed the turbo inlet pipe. And it was still attached to the turbo? How did you prevent the saw dust and pieces of plastic from going in your turbo and destroying it and your engine?

      It was already disconnected from the turbo.

    Can these mods (air intake pipe and aftermarket intake with filter) be done without any check engine lights? If you do get a CEL can it be programmed out at a tune shop?

      No those won't but if you add intercooler and downpipe you will most likely but yes Hilton tuning can tune it out.

    It’ll make more noise but not power… it might be a little quicker low end, but the peak power will be lower than stock because it’s running lean without a tune.

      Lean means more power alittle rich will be less power. But either way it depends on what mods you have. Usually the ecu adapts up to 30% more air.

    Can you get the turbo intake pipe and intake air filter without doing any other mods. Could that be a mod you do that wouldn’t give you car any problems if you did it as the first and only mod on a s60 t6 ?

      Yes i would even just do the intake piping and just buy k&n drop in filter and it will make big difference

      Yes you can bu you will have to removed the fake firewall.

      I felt better gains then when i installed the intercooler or the downpipe. Good gains well worth the moneyl.

      This is the best engines volvos ever made. The can handle 600whp without any engine work. These are different engines from the old ones.

      Instake and intake piping is snabb. Intercooler i had custom made. But i would just suggest getting the do88 ones whichever one suits you best tall or short

    You know you can remove the strut tower cover and the heat shield by the fire wall out right? Gives you alot of room, plus how reliable are these t6 engines? I’m thinking of selling my g37x for a cheap 12 or 13 RD

      Yea i know but that was alot of work lol. The t6 engine are the most reliable from the volvo lineup. But i would get one 2013 and newer not older.

      s60polestar fan good to know, and how about the chassis? Like any part that seems to be badly designed to be replaced a lot? I would love a t6 RD either a S60’s or a XC60 15-16 just for a comfortable daily, the g37 is too stiff and has lots of plastic rattles that bug me and engine hesitation that also makes me want to sell it

      Im not sure. But i heard of few snabb silicone pipes collapsing at boost. Have not heard any issues with the do88.

      @@FullmetalC5 kt4 is larger in diameter which is helpful when you go big power like stage 3. If you plan on just stage 2 ipd or ferrita is enough

      @@BuiltForSpeed Oh ok. I don't plan on changing the turbo, but I do plan on pretty much every other mod you have. I'm basically trying to get as much power out of a tune while still having stock turbo, stock internals, and stock transmission. I appreciate the feedback, I've been following your build since I got my s60.

    this might be a dumb question but I just can’t find the answer anywhere and i’m sure you’d know but, where the fuck is the easiest vacuum boost hose to run a boost gauge off of, I have a 2013 xc70 t6 so the engine bay looks pretty identical to the s60s

      I would say the intake manifold or at boost controller just use a t connector.

      Built for Speed I just tried to install the boost gauge and I cut the hose at the intake manifold and ran the t connecter off it to the boost gauge, for some reason it threw a code and the boost gauge didn’t really work, i dont know what to do

    Layman question: don't you put more pressure on the engine internals (pistons, valves etc.) when you blast more volume of air than the factory specs? Please be gentle, I am not a mechanic, just a Volvo XC60 T6 owner who wants to start DIYing his car because the local Volvo dealer is an absolute rip off. Peace.

      More pressure? You can push more power but make sure you upgrade everything accroding when you have more power you have to upgrade other components as well to keep the car running reliably.
