I bought a 2008 volvo s80 t6 3.0 awd Polestar, i wanna try this cold air filter sounds good , my car before was 2007 volvo s60 2.5t it had aem dryflow airfilter and it sounds good to its itvwas 5 cyl. Its no harm to engine to put cold air intake? I have heard some people say its bad for air and some say do it it will be better because its cotton on cold air intake?
Oiled air filter elements will foul the MAF sensor (oil gets drawn through the filter media), causing an incorrect signal to the computer, with a potential loss of power and ultimately a check engine light. This is why we use washable, dry air filter elements.
Do you have any re-seller in EU or should I order directly from you guys... despite the shipping charges, VAT and possible customs duty? By the way, in the Video you show a S60, I have a V70 T6 -2008 model. It would be fitting nicely on my car as well I assume?
Thanks for the question. We aren't publishing power gains as there are several different states of tune from the factory (anywhere from 281hp to 345hp), each of which gets different power gains with our Air Intake. The air demand for the different variants is different, and ultimately the power gains for each variant is also different.
@@ELEVATEVOLVO Would you be able to share what gains you got from vehicles with the Polestar tune? I literally just bought an intake from you today for my Polestar :)
@@ELEVATEVOLVO Cool! My T6 s60 has a polestar tune, and I'm looking for ways to take it to the next level. The CAI looks pretty easy to bolt on myself, so I'll probably pick one up when my bonus comes in... :D

@ELEVATEVOLVO I don't believe that for a second. The majority of the air coming in the engine bay is coming through the radiator. And if that were the the case we wouldn't need a cold air intake kit once the car is moving. I'd love to see some tests to back up your claims.

No such thing as "warm air intake". Our design uses the factory fresh air inlet as its primary source of incoming air.

could it fit on the S80 V8 also or do you offer a alternative?
Unfortunately, no. We do not have an intake for the V8...
that sucks, would like too have a system like the one in the video that fit mine, without having too make stuff from scratch

The material cover for this filter not should be taken off?
The air filter cover is a water repellent cover. It does not affect air flow.
What were the gains, I'm sure it was on the dyno to measure power, did it lose powere?

Reprogramming is not needed--the ECU will adapt to the increased air flow.

Seems loud. Is it loud when the hood is closed?
Sound/Volume is subjective. Naturally, it is a lot louder with the hood open, but you can hear the difference as you are driving.
I'd be happier with that intake if it was sealed against sucking hot engine bay air in.
Take another look. The air filter element is fully shielded from underhood heat and in fact uses the same fresh air intake as the factory.
