In 1985, im 19, unemployed merseyside fella. I fooked off to London. Met some great nurses from Whipps Cross hospital. Took me to Battersea Park to watch em. 39 years ago. ❤❤
Fantastic upload, thank you, from Australia. Long live the Pogues, this was an unexpected surprise. One of my favourite albums, rock on Spider and crew!
The greatest band of all time. RIP Shane. Spider Stacey is a genius and it would be a dream come true to see a show with him as singer carrying on the Pogues legend. Our sister production company is releasing a documentary on the Pogues this month! And for more art that connects you to your Irish heritage check out our recent 4k release of the legendary beautiful Irish silent era 1914 rebel film, For Ireland's Sake, with a new Celtic music score, gives you a glimpse into the mindset of the Irish in the lead up to the revolution.
This was so amazing!!! The best video after the death of Shane... Thank you so verry much... and please, the POGUES come to Germany for Tour! I'm in tears...
Excellent - thanks foe sharing - brings back many memories - I arrived in London in the 80s and an English friend introduced me to the Pogues - That was it for soon I'd be in the mosh area going mad after a belly full of beer - It was pure happiness.
Thanks for sharing & I can relate except for the fact that I'm a live gig person & just like you I would have loved to have been at this Exciting Lively Energetic Raw Natural Talent Gig because the Irish clearly know how to knock spots off the rest of them Because The Irish really do know how to have a Great Party & how to really let their hair down & have Fun 🎻🎻🎻🥁🥁🥁 🎸🎸🎸 🍀 🍀 🍀 🪕 🪕 🪕 💚 💚 💚
Thanks for this. I live in New Orleans now and I've seen Spider and Cait do their show here a couple of times but I haven't seen a "Pogues" show since I moved over here in 1989/90.
My first ever gig was pogues ,sfx ,Dublin 1985.ive seen some heavy duty shows since...many many punk shows but to this day ....that was the most punk rock show ive ever seen...total chaos.....RIP
Hanx! You are going to make a hellova lot of people so happy with this belter! There's no way I could have made it to there, but what a taste of it this is - thank you so much! 👏🏼👏🏼🎼💐👏🏼👏🏼
Enjoyed this despite UA-cam managing to insert 22 advert breaks into it 🤦♂️ (Two of them in the middle of the song 🤨 - Green Fields of France & The Irish Rover)
may i ask, is this a one night thing? or will they do rum sodomy and the lash extended edition as well? i have to say, as a huge american fan. i'm crushed that i'm on this side of the pond as i watch this! but so glad that it happened. and wanted to thank you again. i cried during nadines singing of the auld triangle. holy cow, brilliant, brilliant stuff.
Glad you enjoyed it from afar...it's one of the reasons I like to share gig videos, just so those unable to be there can also enjoy 'being there'. No idea if there'll be future events but it would be fantastic if so...so many other great songs.
Spider mentioned at the end that he hopes to see us again. I think there could be more gigs as this was a success. PS. Spider and James live in USA now, you might get a chance to see them, as Pogues or with other bands. God bless.

Let me say it carefully: this music will outlive us!
Spider was so fucking awesome!!!! 🎉 proper pogue! X
I’m almost in tears, because I’m this happy right. Peace and love, and if there is a heaven, Shane, Philip, and Darryl are smiling at us.

'From Pentonville Road on a sunset east to the beauty that's Mill Lane...' at 16, that line completely changed the way I saw my home city!
You can tell Spider loves the way Violet and Anna attacked Waxie’s Dargle 45:00 they were brilliant

You from Mayo ?
Thank you so so much. I am in tears. I am not much of a concert person. But man would I have loved to be there. So this is a little bit of solace.

It was a fierce night. I’m going again in Dublin in a fortnight.
Spider was easily recognisable straight away through the leg movements. God bless everyone involved for keeping this music alive. It's brilliant.

Who is the cockney lass who sings dark streets of london ?
Nicola Kearey from (a band called) Stick in the Wheel. www.stickinthewheel.com/
🥲🥲🥲
No Shane no pogues sorry to say an I love the band seen um over 20 times live, just ain't the same
I disagree with that
Carry on Spider
I’m loving this ❤
Who let those two screamin' banshees sing Waxie's Dargle?
Argh, this is wild and pure and young, let them take the music to the youth before they all end up with musical confectionery á la Taylor Swift
Not sure about this karaoke night, think spider could have handled all songs himself
