Pain is relative but damn the Inner biarmp was definitely a tender spot for me. But probably my least favorite done spots I'm looking forward to getting with my bodysuit journey is the inner thigh, the knee and behind it, and armpit 😅
I had a piece done between my shoulders that took 3 hours and it was excruciating. I made it through the whole tattoo but then my artist wanted to add white highlights. I literally could not have gotten them the way I was but he put a numbing spray on that only took a minute to take effect and I couldn't even feel the needle at all, just my spine vibrating.
I have a full leg sleeve. And so far the worst was the shading around my Achilles' tendon and ankle bone- it wasn't crazy painful but it made my muscles ping and my leg kept jerking uncontrollably like it was running over a reflux or a pressure point. But so far that was the worst, my kneecap and shin were painless. I find tattoos so relaxing like an 8 hour trip to the spa- I usually just take naps while my artist works on me but I find getting tatted is my most favorite and most relaxing thing to do. All depends on your mind set and how bad you want something, and those decide how you tolerate tattoo pain.

I've got my feet, armpit and elbows done too but for me, inner thigh was by far the worst!!!
My upper chest was really painful but I only have arms and chest done so not got experience in having any other area of my body tattood
My chest,stomach,inner arm and i got inner finger tattoos and they were painfull.most all those tattoos was 2 hrs long.and any outer and inner joints...

My thigh has been the worst so far, got more painful as it got closer to my knee area 😭 All I could imagine was a knife dragging my skin…!!
Is there a difference in tattoo quality if i get a big back piece in two consecutive sessions vs waiting 2-3 weeks for the 2nd session?
So did the numbing cream on your inner arm make the pain go away for the second half of your session?? Like it only hurt once it wore off later?
Regarding pills, that's a good way to look at it in general (only taking pills if in pain). I think your friend might've meant Ibuprofen. Aspirin's a blood thinner and would probably make you bleed more than you normally would. Ibuprofen though helps with swelling too so it makes sense to take it maybe at least during (or after). I'm with you though, I never take pills unless I absolutely need them.

Finally got my wolf last Saturday!!! Still hurts a bit but worth it.
I actually just got my very first tattoo today on my bicep that reached a little to my inner bicep and oh my god the outer top hurt way more than the inner arm. I think the most painful part of it was the shading, I felt like my skin was being ripped off while she shaded my arm
Congrats! I hope the pain was worth it :) But it is a very sensitive area, so no wonder the pain was unbearable :/
@ funny thing is that I actually thought she was using numbing cream on my inner arm and it didn't even hurt until I told her thanks for using numbing cream and she goes oh this is just lube to make the needle glide smoother. Once the placebo wore off the pain took effect lol. But it definitely was I love it so much and I'm excited to see it healed. When I was getting shaded in (that was the worst pain even more than the inner arm) all that was going through my head was "this will be my only tattoo I never want another tattoo" but that thought quickly left when I got to see it finished. I actually wanted to get another one right then but she had another appointment.
hello again. we were doing 8 hours every month and a half for 2 years on my back. I just watched DVD's. The "love handles" were horrible!!! LOL
Holey moley! 8hrs! I did 6 hrs every month for 6. Love handles are definitely the worst!
I have got my foot tattooed and it is pretty bold but I felt OK the whole session, yet when it came to my forearm it felt like the artist is carving in my skin with a sharp knife! I didn't complain because I wanted to get it done in one session but I felt so uncomfortable it's ridiculous. :D Also, getting my back tattooed around the spine felt pretty bad as well. Now I'm planning my sternum tattoo but I am sooo afraid of it, haaalp pleeease, haha.
yes, oddly enough my hand tattoo didn't hurt as much as my inner arm.
We all have such different pain levels.
For your sternum, if it is unbearable, I recommend using a numbing cream. authoritytattoo.com/best-tattoo-numbing-creams-sprays-gels/
*I have herd that the HUSH numbing cream is pretty legit*
But the same for tattoo pain, not all numbing creams work on everybody.
Ahw, thank you dear! I have to talk about it with my artist because I am very keen on getting that piece but I'm such a chicken when it comes to a lot of pain, haha. But hopefully a numbing cream will work fine and I do't die or something. :DD

Hey, that is the point.. there are no certain prices for tattoos, because they are different at each store, each country, depending on the artist, on the scale of the tattoo, and the time it takes to do it. So it is different every time.
But maybe I will do a video in the future explaining the prices and so.
