    I have been thinking of switching over to vitamix from a Ninja blender for the durability.

      Vitamix surprised its not higher on the list.. We live in the age where modern means smaller, better functioning, more versatile, multi-use tools. Would love to invest in one unit (aka my vitamix) and toss my clunky food processes!

    Hi All, this Aer Disc from Vitamix is not going to make soups, use your old/current Vitamix containers to do soups. The AER does awesome job doing "muddling" drinks, Emulsify sauces (this is awesome features that I love for my salad dressing :-) ) you can do amazing hot chocolates in here as well. This container (Aer) doesn't cut or do food processing. Your main Vitamix containers (wet containers) should do the work for smoothies and soups and all other wonderful stuff. But this comes with a nice book and it tells you what you can make with Aer container :-) Hope you all enjoy yours as much as I am enjoying mine :-)

      Hello Rico! Our Aer Disc Container is designed to whip, emulsify, muddle and foam. You can check out our video and techniques directly on our website. I recommend checking out the What You Can Make section on our site to see the various techniques that our containers can do. This way you can view how they work with a variety of ingredients and recipes. Enjoy!

    Can this be used to whip up egg whites for Angel Food cake?

  • @josieyphillip

    My question is, the regular Vitamix can do this also or not???

    • @VitamixCorporation
      @VitamixCorporation  3 роки тому

      The regular container will blend all the ingredients together making more of a slushie. In the Aer Disc the liquid ingredients are pulled through small holes in the spinning disc, aerating and emulsifying them, while firmer ingredients like ice, fruit, and herbs are agitated but not puréed.

    I'm SO disappointed that Ascent owners like myself who want a smaller option are stuck with the 48-oz. containers. If I decide to buy this, I'll risk having no warranty and buy the 32-oz. commercial model and use it with my 5200 instead. 48 oz. is ideal as an initial purchase option for those who think they'll never use a 64-oz. container; however, I'm quite sure I'm not alone among owners of large containers who need a small, not mid-size, option for small amounts.

      @VitamixCorporation  5 років тому

      We appreciate your feedback about the ocntainer size options for the Ascent units. Have you taken a look at our Blending Cup & Bowl Starter Kits? They are smaller options than the 48oz container, which may fit your needs if you are looking to make serving sizes small enough for one person: spr.ly/6050DSM6o

      agreed. For something like the aer disc a smaller container would have been better. I don't need a huge 48 oz taking up space in my small kitchen just for a little milk foam or whipped cream in my drink.

    • @VitamixCorporation
      @VitamixCorporation  5 років тому

      Thank you Oliv. The 32oz container is only 2 cups smaller than the 48oz, so there is not much of a size difference between these two options. If you are seeking a smaller blending option, we encourage investing in the Blending Cup or Bowl Starter Kits.

      @@VitamixCorporation the 48-oz. splashes more with smaller amounts. I literally hate that container. Low-profile 64-oz. and 32-oz. together cover all the bases, as does the tall 64-oz. on its own.

    • @VitamixCorporation
      @VitamixCorporation  6 років тому

      HI Gretchen! While this Aer Disc container can make hot drinks and foams, it wont puree soups the way that a regular container does. It would be best to use your regular container for soups!

    • @VitamixCorporation
      @VitamixCorporation  4 роки тому

      Hi Jillian! The Aer Disc Container can not make smoothies because it does not have a blade, it has the disc. It is used for techniques such as muddling, emulsifying, foaming or making whipped cream!

    Will this emulsify Lebanese garlic sauce?

    • @VitamixCorporation
      @VitamixCorporation  4 роки тому +3

      This container would not be the best for the kind of sauce you want to make. While Toum usually calls for finely processed garlic. This container does not have blades, so it will not break down the garlic any further. It is best to use a regular Vitamix container for that recipe.

      @@VitamixCorporation I suppose the sauce could be started in the regular container and transferred to the aer for the emulsification process? No matter. I ordered both anyway, and will have to experiment.

    • @VitamixCorporation
      @VitamixCorporation  4 роки тому +1

      No need to transfer the mix from one container to the other. Your standard container will make your sauce just fine, so you can use your Aer Disc to whip up a tasty beverage to go with it!
