He's legit. I bought the vacuum carafe and pump as per his instruction. I was on an advanced juice and super food cleanse. My juices were noticeably improved. I sensed more nutrients and my ability to endure the cleanse was enhanced. Thanks for your passion John.
I went to 45 year HS reunion and noticed how my friends have aged so badly due to their styles of living and diet! I look younger due to my diet and style of living!
Wow that’s amazing!!! I was just thinking the same thing. I was just watching a video of his from 7 months ago and thought to myself he hasn’t aged. I was and still will go back and look at some older videos and compare. I’m going to step up my juicing game.
I just bought the Ascend model vitamix but have so many days to return. Do I get an older model vitamix or a different kind for vacuum blending. Not sure what to purchase.
There are many ways to vacuum blend. I show all the options that are currently available in the video ua-cam.com/video/vXElAVCtbcQ/v-deo.html The void systems kit for the vitamix is one way to do it, this way you could still use the vitamix to traditionally blend if you wanted to. That being said, some dedicated vacuum blenders offer other features the void kit does not.
And that will cost you $300, about the same price as what that old legacy Vitamix cost you years ago. So you're better off just buying the Void blender.
You've validated my concerns with the new model. So glad I have the older model still! Great idea for vamping up the older model! Love it. Vacuum blending is blowing my mind, had no idea this existed. 🤯🤩
I bought the top of the line new auto connect Vitamix. I took it back. I noticed it was much more weak than my 750 Pro. Plus I dont see any benefit to the new connect models. I love my 750 Pro so much that last year on Black Friday I bought a back-up unit. This vacuum concept is VERY interesting. If I had known about these no air blenders I would have bought one instead of my back up Vitamix.
I've had the new model for over 5 years and I love it! I had the old one for years. I put that one in my vacation rental and treated myself to the new one. I now have the food processor attachment and it is amazing! I knew that the new system wouldn't work on the old base and vice a versa.....Vitamix makes that clear. My son purchased a blendtec a couple of years before I purchased my new model vitamix and he had to get new parts a few times before it finally bit the dust about 6 months ago. It's junk.
@@KaraStanziani-ym8pf Yes, I purchased the Ascent 3500 about 6 or 7 years ago and I love it. I just branched out and purchased the food processor that fits on the Ascent. And, vitamix makes is known that the old machine container won't work on the new Ascent. This "salesman" gave misinformation. I also bought the little container to make salad dressings, rubs, etc.

You can run the pump under water to pump water thru the pump to clean, also you can leave the pump running in VAC+ mode on counter afterward to evac all water from pump. Studies that show that YES even PPB differences can make a difference. If I had a better meter I could be more accurate.
Greetings John, Thank you for so much unique and interesting information. My question for you is, have you ever tested for oxygen before and after heating? I want to blend up a tomato based sauce and then cook it for a couple hours. I have a feeling that all of the oxygen will quickly evaporate from sauce once it becomes hot, and that if I heat it up immediately after blending then the oxygen will not cause damage to nutrients. I know that boiling water makes the chlorine evaporate quickly so I am guessing that same thing would happen to oxygen as they are both gases.
I have not tested this. That being said, I would recommend vacuum blending and then cooking, which will be superior even if oxygen is removed during cooking, You can use a vacuum chamber to remove oxygen after blending, but that mixture will still never be as good as something vacuum blended from the get-go since most of the damage occurs during breaking open cells walls during initial processing.
Really good and interesting video John. I’ve been waiting for this one and you delivered a slam dunk! Bam! Bam!! Boom! What now?! It would be interesting to compare the dissolved oxygen in water pre blend then post blend to get an idea of how much air is (or isn’t, in the case of vacuum blending) incorporated during blending. Slam!!
You are the best juicer influencer ever! Thank you very much. As soon as I gather the money 💰 I will buy either using your coupons or at your web store.
I would not recommend making juice in a regular blender even at low speed, while blending at low speed is better than high speed, the blender (if not vacuum) will significantly oxidize the food and speed up enzyme reactions which causes nutrient loss and off flavor. I only recommend vacuum blending if you did want to juice. Slow juicers run at a slow speed so they add little oxygen into the juice being made.
This was absolutely mind blowing! I guess I have definitely been living under a rock! I cannot believe the difference between the two. I and own a Vitamix 5000 that is pretty old so it might just buy a new blender that has vacuumed blending.
Great info. Thank you. Question: I blend in my Vitamix 75% of the carafe with packed greens, 1/2c flaxseed, water to greens level and 25% frozen fruit; are the vaccum carafe blades strong enough to also blend the hard flaxseeds?
Yes, the VOID systems carafe can blend up flax seeds. I have ground them up dry, they can also be wet blended, the more water in the mixture, the better the blend will be. Plus the longer you run the blender, the better they will blend.
Hi John. First thank you so much for all of the works you give to your viewers. I have vitamix 520 that I got from costco , does the void kit for vitamix work with my vitamix 520 ? Thank you so much .
I would choose a vacuum blender, that removes oxygen. That to me is more important than the texture of the blend, of course the vitamix would perform better than the multi-blade ninja blender.
Its tough I can only see spending like $100 on the vacuum blending carafe setup but maybe ill cough up the money eventually. It definitely seems like a game changer
Hi John, I just commented on your NAMA Sorbet Attachment video, and wanted to ask you for your opinion re: Vacuum Blending... I had an old Vitamix that I had to return due to motor issues and I now have the Assent. It kind of makes me mad that they don't tell people about the chip. When I saw your interview with Chris Wark you talked about Vacuum Blending and I ended up purchasing the Mecity Vacuum Blender on Amazon along with vacuum lids for my mason jars and the vacuum zip-locks. Here is my question: Would it be better to return both the Mecity and the Assent then purchase the Lower Model Vitamix along with the Void Systems Vitamix Kit, or keep what I have? I value your opinion and appreciate you, your honesty, and all your awesome videos. Thanks, You Rock!!!
Each Vacuum blending solution has its own set of pros and cons. I personally, would return the ascent if you are able, since they lock you into using their carafes (if not under warranty, when they should be replaced free). I just don't like that and there is no attachment for the Ascent to vacuum blend, however if you are handy you can google "Ascent Vacuum Blender DIY" and there are instructions on how to "hack it". If the Mecity works for you, than use it. It is a decent blender, but not a vitamix as it does not have enough power, and it does not pull as strong of a vacuum as say the void systems lid, so it really depends on the performance you require and need. I use the mecity (copy-cat) version for my travel blender, and use the Kuvings CB1000 at home at present time myself.
@@discountjuicers Thanks John. Luckly, I am really handy, so I'll check out the "Ascent Vacuum Blender DIY" instructions on how to "hack it" before returning anything :) I appreciate you so much.
I replaced my Vitamix Prep 3 with the SAGE Super Q SBL920BSS Blender (including the vacuum option). I live in Belgium and Vitamix is extremely expensive over here, and there are no promotional offers. Sage does do promos from time to time and I paid less than 500 euro (including the vacuum option), which is half the price of a Vitamix without vacuum. The Sage has 3.2 HP, 2 blending cups/bowls, 10 year warranty and produces a lot less noise. In The States this blender is sold as the Breville Super Q (only difference is that it has a 1800 watt motor compared to the 2400 watt of the Sage). The blending speed can be done manually, it also has a timer, and there are a few automatic programs. Overall I am really happy with it. So far I have only found one thing that I could so with the Vitamix, but I can't with the Sage. And this is: I used to put 2 apples in the Blender (no water) and just blend them. I can't do that with the Sage, as the bowl is too wide so the apples gets splattered on the side, so the blades can no longer blend them.
It depends. Each vacuum Blending solution provides its own set of pros and cons. I have no favorites at this time, but I use most the Kuvings CB1000 vacuum blender in my home, I like the smaller carafe and how easy the machine is to use.
@@nossy232323 interesting. I was looking at Blendtec and Vitamix. Are you still happy with your Sage? Do you think the Sage blends green smoothies to the same excellent consistency as Vitamix/Blendtec? - Thank you!
This was a very misleading video title because there really was only one thing they don't tell you about the Vitamix, which was the chip in the craft making it not work with other Vitamix crafts. The oxygen thing is not Vitamix specific and applies to all blenders without a vacuum device. You do not want the oxygen levels low for beer and wine, you want them high to release the flavors. That is why people aerate wine prior to drinking it.
Seems like a gimmick. This guy is bending over backwards, with multiple experiments, to prove a vacuum is being created. Umm....the question in people's mind's isn't whether this stuff works at creating a vacuum, it's whether or not there is legit research which backs up the claims that food blended in a vacuum is actually better for you.
When vacuum blending, you should fill 2" below lid for most mixtures, so you lose a little capacity. the the void lid it takes 25-45 seconds to pull vacuum before blending, depending how full the container is.
@discountjuicers That's no problem for me, my Alterna Jar holds 80 ounces and the Void lid fits it perfectly. Last Friday I found a Platinum Grey Vitamix 6300 at Goodwill for $34. Just needed it's carbon motor brush ends sanded flat because it smelled like it was hot when you ran it, and a good cleaning. It runs like a new blender now.
I wish I knew this 3 years ago. I would buy old vitamix! And not the ascent a2500i..🤦🏻♂️ but who knew…. The prices for these blenders are crazy… luckily I bought mine for £442 on offer… I am happy with it but it’s not worth that amount of money… Thanks for the video 👌🏼👊🏼
it would be very easy for Vita-mix to make a vacuum lid. The fact that it doesn’t tells me a lot I understand about oxidation however, if you make a smoothie and drink it right away, you’re not losing as much as letting it stand.
Vacuum blending? Another case of manufacturers creating a problem which doesn't exist, in order to sell you the solution? Aren't you effectively aerating your food simply by chewing it? (and, lol, prior to it hitting your stomach acid). Perhaps we should drink our smoothies in a vacuum chamber too? Space colonization is going to be extremely healthy for those future travelers, it seems.
Maybe you could have used Green Apples because both mixtures look equally brown. There is indeed a massive oxidation with fruit. But with the vacuum you can stamp to push the material towards the blades and have to add a lot of water. I like freezing a foamy result because I can push a spoon through the whipped mixture while partially frozen. I've lots of apples that need compaction for storage.
Depending on how you define "best" each one has its own set of pros and cons. I share my thoughts on all vac blenders in this video: ua-cam.com/video/vXElAVCtbcQ/v-deo.html
@@discountjuicers I ended up getting the Vitamix. Is there a separate vacuum piece I can use that you recommend? I got the Ascent model. I may just get one with the vacuum.
But the vac carafe is a square shape, which is the negative aspect of the Blentech blender, and now the Vitamix advantage is negated. Hmmm? FYI, the only reason it shows the # of O2 is because its calibrated for it. Air is Air.

The famous Omniblend uses the same jug as the vitamix (old style) made of Tritan , better than polycarbonate! Oh the Omni has more power and costs 50% less than vitamix . Best argument! JTC Omniblend makes since 35 years
I just bought a new Vitamix to replace my old one I used for over 10 years. I can tell you the one I just got is a piece of crap in comparison. I'm really disappointed with Vitamix now. There's more cheap plastic, blending doesn't liquify the fruit and nuts like it used to. I have to keep pulsing and stopping, then blending again, and again and still end up with chunks. The blender is light and cheap feeling. It's sad because they used to be the best. Time to seek out a different brand.
You can't blend small amounts in the low profile 64 ounce containers. I use a 48 ounce container on my Vitamix 5300. I use the larger container when I'm blending for a crowd. The tapered tall 64 ounce container still blends smoother than the low profile version in my opinion.
@@chevyguy6961I just got the tall version but it isn't made by Vitamix and now I have to return it because my damn blender doesn't recognize that it's on there. There must be a way to override it to just make it considerate. The default, the profile or something. Anybody know a hack?

The prices for these blenders are crazy… luckily I bought mine for £442 on offer… I am happy with it but it’s not worth that amount of money…
Thanks for the video 👌🏼👊🏼
John could you find witch small juicer is better Shine XL or HUROM H310? Thanks
I agree that you should avoid unnecessary technical gimmicks that will just brake or hinder compatibility.
I want to see the reviews for the whole vacuum blending system in the link provided here, but I can't seem to find at least one😞😞
I have the vintage Vitamix.😊😊 Maybe start vacuum blending! ❤
it would be very easy for Vita-mix to make a vacuum lid. The fact that it doesn’t tells me a lot I understand about oxidation however, if you make a smoothie and drink it right away, you’re not losing as much as letting it stand.
John please which is the best Blendtec?
The best blendtec blender is the Stealth X model with brushless motor that is the model I own. It can be used with the VOID systems lid.
Can we use stainless steel çontainers with vaccuum pumps?
I dont know of any stainless Vacuum blender at this time, so if you did want to use stainless you would need to make a DIY solution.
So which is the best vita mix with a vacuum lid Blendtec with the vacuum lid or the dino?
Depending on how you define "best" each one has its own set of pros and cons. I share my thoughts on all vac blenders in this video:

John I own 2 Vitamix blenders with top notch warranty service. I’m looking for top brand top warranty glass blender.
I have not found one yet!
whats the name of the old classic vitamix ?
5200
Next Level 👍 Great Work as always John ☺ Thank You
John- I have a Vitamix Pro Series 750. Is there a vacuum kit made for this model blender?
the VOID system kit will fit. I do a full unboxing review at ua-cam.com/video/O9dbDd84Ey4/v-deo.html
Since I own 2 Vitamix blender I’m untested in the kit but I would prefer a glass carafe
You are the best!
I love your video. Thank you for all the detailed information
What blenders have the vacuum already?
I review the best ones at ua-cam.com/video/vXElAVCtbcQ/v-deo.html
@@discountjuicers I ended up getting the Vitamix. Is there a separate vacuum piece I can use that you recommend? I got the Ascent model. I may just get one with the vacuum.
I always have greens in my smoothies, I hope the vacuum blender can handle that!
I love Vitamix soup making feature. Thanks for this awesome video that reveals how to get more value from vacuum blending.
Love this information!
I own that model Vitamix. I can't believe you sat so close without hearing protection!!!
My NINJA blender has a vacuum seal. Who knew. Should I return the Vitamix? Not sure yet.
What's the Ninja model with a vacuum pump?
Thanks John
I listened to you and bought a Kuvings juicer and was a big mistake 😢
What happened?
Great advice!
What is the model number of your Vitamix you are using? Is this the same as what you showed on your other UA-cam channel? 5200?
I own the Vitamix Turboblend VS (same as 5200) and also a Vitamix Vitaprep 3, sames ones I have been using!
But the vac carafe is a square shape, which is the negative aspect of the Blentech blender, and now the Vitamix advantage is negated. Hmmm? FYI, the only reason it shows the # of O2 is because its calibrated for it. Air is Air.
I went to 45 year HS reunion and noticed how my friends have aged so badly due to their styles of living and diet! I look younger due to my diet and style of living!
I really appreciate you!
I don’t understand why the marshmallows, get bigger when I put marshmallows in a canning jar and suck the air out with a vacuum sealer they get smaller?🤷♀️
I want to know how many total pounds of raw fruit and vegetables John has blended or juiced on camera. Love the intensity and dedication.
Too many to count!
i know they aren't discount juicers but will you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do an Angel Juicer 5500/7500/8500 review? huuge fan, thanks!
No ttime soon will I review an angel juicer, as I do not recommend their brand due to me sending their company $3k check and cashing itt 20 years ago now and never sending me the juicers I prepaid for. Instead of making it right, they sent a lawyer after me when I made a video sharing my story. Its a much longer story than this, but I can not support or recommend a company that have business practices I do not agree with.
The famous Omniblend uses the same jug as the vitamix (old style) made of Tritan , better than polycarbonate! Oh the Omni has more power and costs 50% less than vitamix . Best argument! JTC Omniblend makes since 35 years
Dam john!!! Can’t believe i am seeing you here lol…love your organic farming and other food growing videos…u definitely eat nothing but healthy stuff
Too late. I alrdy bought one.
For the newer models, you can bypass their ridiculous and anti-consumer NFC shit by making your own NFC tag to recognise third party jugs.
How?
@@HB-yk4utSearch "vitamix bypass".

John when I use my Vitamix I never add all that water to make my apple juice.
All i want is this is for my birthday 🥳🎂 coming.😫🥺
Grateful for the info and insights, but the shouting tone in your videos is really stressful.
🤓 Awaiting a "DIY Vitamix vacuum blender" video using:
a classic Vitamix blender + a Vitamix Ascent carafe (sealed compared to classic Vitamix carafes) + a Biochef vacuum pump (or other vacuum pump)
do a google search for DIY vacuum blending in a Vitamix if you want to hack your current carafe. I did this before vacuum blenders came out on the market.
Me too
wtf i swear i saw this guy about a decade ago, but in a garden, talkin bout "never grow bell peppers". now hes selling blenders?
I have been doing both since I started creating youtube videos 15 years ago now!
DIGITAL RIGHTS MANAGEMENT INSIDE A BLENDER WOW
You didn't use the same blender speed for the apples. Nice trickery. Maybe my eyes deceived me. Looks like the non-vacuum is set to 10 and the other is set to 2.
Both vitamix models were set to the highest speed.
Okay, a trick of your lighting then. The light shows like a line on the knob at the lowest speed. Thanks for the clarification.@@discountjuicers
John would NEVER do that unless it was an accident. He is the most sincere and trusted person. He couldn’t do that it’s not who he is .
I agree. I've enjoyed his straight up honest reviews and have watched his channel for many years. He has been influential in more than a couple of my purchases and certainly is a superb influencer for a natural health lifestyle.@@countrycitybeach
2 things. 30+ minutes.
NUTS ?
A lot of video for 2 things
Vitamix makes you buy thier overpriced junk container if thie cheap plastic one breaks. This proprietary bs should be illegal.
Jack La lane would BEAT this dude... Unless he paid him not to!! LOL
The void systems vitamix retro fit set is $400 CAD 😩😢
Cheating is the highest level. Who wants to mess up their food with EMF?
