Hi Henry, i just got the Aer container today. I dont drink cows milk and i was wondering about tips to get almond milk to froth. Also any tips for oat milk or coconut milk will be appreciated. Thanks
That's the issue, frothing plant-based milks is near impossible unless they have a stabilizer in them because they lack proteins. In my video the coconut milk I used had a stabilizer in it.
Hi Henry, I picked up the Aer disc container (mainly because I loved your video on it). however I had no luck achieving the thick airy foam that you did when you added the coffee with the ice. question: was the coffee cold? any hints or tips you can tell me to get the same large amount of foam. thanks in advance!
Hi again, Henry - I have one more question! I made mayonnaise the other day, following the ingredients list from the Vitamix site for mayo in standard containers, and the instructions from the Aer Disc aioli recipe. It was FABULOUS - but I lost quite a bit of mayo to the container, because I couldn't find a spatula or any other tool that would get under the disc and all the way around. Do you have a recommendation? This isn't much of a problem with lemonade and foam etc, but for me it's quite a big issue with something as thick as mayo
I always use slim silicone spatulas as they are very flexible. Even with the silicone the AER Disc blade is a bit challenging with mayo. Lea Ann and I used to give away free plastic spatulas provided from Vitamix to our customers, but they are not ideal for getting underneath the blades. I absolutely love Lea Ann. We talk on the phone every chance we get. I've learned a lot from her when she was actively with Vitamix. 😊
I love Lee Ann too - I think her blog and Facebook group are the very best available resources for all things Vitamix (and I think you're the best on UA-cam). Do you have the Vitamix Under-blade scraper? If yes, have you tried using it to scrape may from under the Aer disc? I don't even know if it would fit, and am hoping you - or another "AerHead" in the FB group - does have it and can try using it to get mayo out of the Aer
Ok so for the life of me I can’t foam or froth up just coffee & ice like u have in this container. I have the Vitamix Creations 2 machine which I believe they call the C series. Is ur coffee cold, room temp or warm b4 u add it in?
Coffee is room temperature but it doesn't matter since I'm using ice in the video. Sorry to hear you're having some difficulties. If you need more assistance please reach out to me here ➜ www.blendingwithhenry.com/ask-henry
I didn't create an actual recipe. Just created the lemonade the traditional way. Water (or coconut water) sugar and lemon slices. Often when I make it I will also add fresh mint to the mixture. The AER Disc squeezes the essence of the mint for a refreshing taste.
Hi, I haven't tried butter as of yet. I suppose it could work since the Aer Disc container is made for whipping, but I'm not certain. Great idea though! 👨🏾🍳😊
Henry, this is an amazing video - far more informative than anything on the Vitamix site! I belong to a Facebook group called Vitamix Enthusiasts, and there is a LOT of interest there for this container. I got mine 10 days ago and have been posting about my experience with various functions; people seem most interested in making thick cold foam with skim milk. Any chance you could do a short video showing how that works?
Hi, thanks so much! I'm very familiar with the Vitamix Enthusiast Group. Lean Ann Savage!!!! Making cold foam from dairy-based milk works pretty much the same as what you saw me do with the coconut milk in the video. Please share my video on the Enthusiast Group. 😊
Henry, thanks so much for the speedy reply. Yup, it's Lee Ann's group that I was referring - a fantastic community to discuss all things related to Vitamix. Re the cold foam made with coconut milk: it's actually quite a bit less thick than skim milk cold foam. The latter is not easy to pour as you're showing with the chocolate-flavoured coconut milk. I'm trying to persuade people in the group that Vitamix is right when they say that thick, robust cold foam absolutely requires very cold skim milk.....
The chocolate sauce weighed down the coconut milk foam quite a bit. Yes, just like in cafe's that make cappuccinos, they have to use very cold milk in order to froth. I'm not sure the science behind it, but the lower the temperature the higher chances for a successful foam with skim milk.
I'm curious if I am able to add avocado into the Aer container when making avocado mayo with no problem. It's an item I am thinking of getting. Thanks!
hello hery could you do a video about how powerfull the A.E.R blade is and show on-video cut a few fruits into big chuncks hard chunky fruits like apple chuncks then cut some pineaple chuncks also find a few more hard fruits cut them then trow the peaces in have a blender with normal everyday blade andthe other with A.E.R Blade trow the same fruits chuncks in both of the blenders.let us decide which we would prefer . Thank you G.K.
Hi Grigor! Thanks for reaching out! I got your email and I will respond to you today about your question. The AER Disc Container is not designed for that type of use. It does not break down ingredients, but rather it muddles the flavor from them, so it's good for making lemonade like in the video. For breaking down fruits you have to use the included Vitamix container for that.
Hi Teacher Henry, can your Aer disc be used with my Vitamix I bought in Singapore in year 2012? No model named .Tq Yours Respectfully, Karen from Brunei
If it's a full sized Vitamix machines in the 5000 series or newer then yes, the AER Disc will be compatible. Not sure if it's available in your country.
Hi Stephany! Not to say that should be obvious, but each one of those containers serve completely different needs. There's nothing similar about what they do. Choose the one that fits what you will be using it for. For a limited time you can get either container for $50 with the purchase of a new Vitamix. See this link here ➜ bit.ly/2Kkl546
This would work with my Venturist 1200 right?! All the other Ascent accessories work. I want for the the muddle feature! The rest would just be the whipped cream in top! 😁
Thank you. I have one, just delivered, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep it. I'm going to experiment. Okay, here's one for you...a Seattle Super Sonic and a Washington State Cougar walk into an arena....................................hahaha! Tell me if you get it.............
It will not. It will only extract the essence/flavors of the fruit. It's not designed to make juice at all or extract liquids from fruit in order to make syrup. You bought it for the wrong purpose.
I have had no luck with this container- I am trying to make foam. My machine is a VM103D.. I just may return this container. I have tried with soymilk and 2% milk- any suggestions???
Plant-based milks such as soy won't foam unless there is some sort of binder in the milk. You should have no problems with dairy but you need to use skim milk when making foams.
Hey Henry I have a question! I just recently got the vitamix professional series 750 as you know the container is big I want a smaller one can I just buy any container?
@@BlendingWithHenry Ok, thank you. I've tried multiple coconut milks and non of them are working. I'll go by my local health food store, maybe they have a different option.
I haven't tried egg whites. I would say it would because the aquafaba that I made in the video is an egg white substitute. It's the proteins in the egg whites and aquafaba that cause them to whip up so easily. In terms of stiff peaks it depends on the use of Cream of Tartar.
Blending With Henry Thank you for your speedy reply. I love your videos. Would you consider trying to make meringue but without the aer container? Maybe I’m dreaming but would love to have it all in one.
Boss what do you consider a premium chocolate sauce white bread please and I seen videos that model the fruit and then somehow I can make soda just got a carbonated it
Check this link out. Vitamix shows how to make sparkling drinks using the AER Disc. They don't use it to make syrup but you can add the flavored liquid it creates to sparkling water. bit.ly/2PRbcAE
Boss I would like to use this to make flavored sodas with fresh fruit do you think it will do the job before I invest I have the 3500 I want to make seltzer I have the soda Stream and a big tank so I would like to make my own soda and I don’t want any sugar because I am type two diabetic do you think this machine will model model the fruit for a soda
Hey Pat! The issue with making soda is the fruit would need to be made into a syrup. The AER Disc Container only extracts flavors but it can't make syrups. I use the SodaStream too and requires syrup to create a soda.
Hi John! The circular disc in this container is designed for spinning liquids around to create air so it's not designed for milkshakes. It's best to use the included container with the Vitamix.
@@BlendingWithHenry Thank you. I’m still trying to find the best setting for speed and milk to ice cream ratio to make a smooth thick milkshake. Do you have a video on this?
@@BlendingWithHenry Update! So, I found that using 1 cup ice cream and 1/3 milk then blending on level 1 for 30 seconds did an amazing job. I believe setting it to level 10 created too much heat and that was my problem. I might even try level 2 next time.
There are many great machines. Everyone has different blending needs. Your favorite blender should be the one that works best for you and can produce restaurant/smoothie shop quality blends.
How did you make the lemonade? I don’t understand how the juice is extracted with the peel and seeds left intact. I always make lemonade in my 750, but de-seeding is a major pain.
I do have to remove the seeds. The muddling feature of the AER Disc Container extracts the juice and oils from the lemons without pulverizing them. I love this new container for that feature alone. 😊
Blending With Henry Nice. I might buy it for that alone, too. Lemonade is a huge deal for me (I keep the pulp in there ... basically remove rinds, seeds and peel and throw the whole thing in there with stevia, water and ice). Would love too see a video on the lemonade if you ever get the chance.
Since the AER Disc Container uses a thick circular blade (not sharp) that doesn't chop or pureè, but rather mash/muddle fruits, the fruit needs to be fresh.
In my experience, thawed fruits don't equal fresh fruits. The water in the fruit forms into ice crystals from them being frozen. Once thawed they lose taste and density of the natural liquid they contain. The AER Disc container is designed to extract fresh juice and essence from the fruits. When making smoothies in the standard Vitamix container, frozen is fine.

hello hery could you do a video about how powerfull the A.E.R blade is and show on-video cut a few fruits into big chuncks hard chunky fruits like apple chuncks then cut some pineaple chuncks also find a few more hard fruits cut them then trow the peaces in have a blender with normal everyday blade andthe other with A.E.R Blade trow the same fruits chuncks in both of the blenders.let us decide which we would prefer .
Wow this is totally the blade we use at sbux for cold foam
Henry, great video as always but I wonder can it whip egg whites to stiff peaks?
Hummingbird B yes, you can make merengue with it.
Amber L does it come with directions on how to make merengue?
Hi Teacher Henry, can your Aer disc be used with my Vitamix I bought in Singapore in year 2012? No model named .Tq Yours Respectfully, Karen from Brunei
If it's a full sized Vitamix machines in the 5000 series or newer then yes, the AER Disc will be compatible. Not sure if it's available in your country.
I have a question, I have finally saved enough for vitamix and 1 container. Which would you start with aer container or grains container
Hi Stephany! Not to say that should be obvious, but each one of those containers serve completely different needs. There's nothing similar about what they do. Choose the one that fits what you will be using it for. For a limited time you can get either container for $50 with the purchase of a new Vitamix. See this link here ➜ bit.ly/2Kkl546
great video! Your laugh is infectious😀
Right on!! Thank you so much for kind comment. 🙏🏾❤️
This would work with my Venturist 1200 right?! All the other Ascent accessories work. I want for the the muddle feature! The rest would just be the whipped cream in top! 😁
Yes, it is compatible with the Venturist series machine. When you are ready to order please use the links in the description underneath the video.
Blending With Henry will do! Thanks
Use to have a vitimix turbo blend 2 speed and I had a blenctec 570
I would love to see somebody trying to froth a liquid coffee creamer (french vanilla, etc.) with the AER blade.
Hopefully someone will find a video showing this. I won't be able to test this for you since I drink my coffee 100% black with no sugar or creamer.
Thank you. I have one, just delivered, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep it. I'm going to experiment. Okay, here's one for you...a Seattle Super Sonic and a Washington State Cougar walk into an arena....................................hahaha! Tell me if you get it.............
One question, this container works with the vitamix 5200?
Yes it does.
Hi, what is the recepie for the coconut milk and chocolate, I tried it but it did not get foamy at all like yours. What am I doing wrong?
That coconut cream had a stabilizer in it. Some do and some don't.
Love your content!
I appreciate that!
Would this work on the vitamix e310
Yes, it's 100% compatible with the E310.
Is it comparable with the vitamix create ll? I was told it was it’s very similar to the 5200, thanks! 👍🏾
Yes, it is fully compatible with your model of Vitamix. Thanks for watching! 😊
Blending With Henry thanks!😁
Great video, thanks for the demonstration!
Right on! Thank U!!! 🙏🏾
This is another great video! Thank you.
OK will it help me make the syrup by breaking down the fruit I just bought one yesterday
It will not. It will only extract the essence/flavors of the fruit. It's not designed to make juice at all or extract liquids from fruit in order to make syrup. You bought it for the wrong purpose.
Excellent video ... love your laugh 😂 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💯
Thank you 😁
If I don’t have the vitamin ascent will the bowls still be compatible?
No.
Can I have the last recipe please thanks
Hey Henry I have a question! I just recently got the vitamix professional series 750 as you know the container is big I want a smaller one can I just buy any container?
Only the 32 oz wet 32 oz dry and 48 oz wet containers.
You have to buy an adapter to use the smaller containers.
What brand of coconut milk did you use for the first recipe?
I honestly don't remember the brand. I bought it at a local health food supermarket.
@@BlendingWithHenry Ok, thank you. I've tried multiple coconut milks and non of them are working. I'll go by my local health food store, maybe they have a different option.
@@LIND311 did you get anything to work? Henry did you use canned coconut milk maybe? I can't get it to creme either, how long also
Hello! Does this container fit on
pro750?
Yes. The Pro 750 is shown in the video using it.
Can it whip egg whites to stiff peaks without cooking it?
I haven't tried egg whites. I would say it would because the aquafaba that I made in the video is an egg white substitute. It's the proteins in the egg whites and aquafaba that cause them to whip up so easily. In terms of stiff peaks it depends on the use of Cream of Tartar.
Blending With Henry Thank you for your speedy reply. I love your videos. Would you consider trying to make meringue but without the aer container? Maybe I’m dreaming but would love to have it all in one.
Anyone know if you can make butter and ghee with this? It makes whipped cream and I thought butter is what happens if you whip, whip cream some more.
Can I make powdered sugar with a standard 5200?
You can however it's much more efficient and offers better results with the optional dry container.
Is AER disc compatible with E320 vitamix ? Thank you
Yes it is.
Can you show how to make lemonade please
See here watching me make lemon lime aid in the Aer Disc container. ua-cam.com/video/BV7e2IEmLdI/v-deo.html
@@BlendingWithHenry ty boss
Boss what do you consider a premium chocolate sauce white bread please and I seen videos that model the fruit and then somehow I can make soda just got a carbonated it
Check this link out. Vitamix shows how to make sparkling drinks using the AER Disc. They don't use it to make syrup but you can add the flavored liquid it creates to sparkling water. bit.ly/2PRbcAE
There it is!
Are you able to foaming milk with it?
You can create foaming skim milk. Not sure about full fat milk. It should work fine.
Is it compatible with the Explorian?
Yes! 100%
Does thus work with vitamix explorian series
It most certainly does!
Is the coconut milk from the carton or can?
Canned. The carton version is strained so the natural fat is missing.
@@BlendingWithHenry Thanks, I don"t like to assume.
How would you make vegan whipped cream?
Most likely for best results to use full fat coconut cream. I haven't tried it.
Can you make milkshakes with this?
What's your favorite blender
There is a vegan cheese dip this would be perfect for.
Thanks! Waiting for mine to arrive. 😀
Right on! Let me know how you like it after you try it out. 😊
Do you resell your products or are you just an ambassador?
Hi, I do not resell them. 😊
Thank you for this video (love all your videos!) nice job and I enjoy your laugh:)
Right on! Thanks for the love! 💚😃🙏🏾
So no bueno for the 5200?
It works perfectly with the 5200. 😀
that looks delicious.
It made it so good, it's unbeliveable.
Yes
I have that blender
Can you use frozen berries in it when fresh is not available?
Since the AER Disc Container uses a thick circular blade (not sharp) that doesn't chop or pureè, but rather mash/muddle fruits, the fruit needs to be fresh.
@@BlendingWithHenry I see, Do you think if I thaw the fruit out first it will work?
In my experience, thawed fruits don't equal fresh fruits. The water in the fruit forms into ice crystals from them being frozen. Once thawed they lose taste and density of the natural liquid they contain. The AER Disc container is designed to extract fresh juice and essence from the fruits. When making smoothies in the standard Vitamix container, frozen is fine.
