  • Here's a demonstration of how to make a frozen dessert in your Vitamix with two ingredients. Shot with Chef Adam from Vitamix HQ. Get more Vitamix Frozen Dessert Recipes → bit.ly/2BbjCI0
    NOTES:
Whether you have a narrow container or a wide container, an older Vitamix or a new one, you should be able to make frozen desserts (ice creams, sorbets, etc!) with your Vitamix without needing to use the freezer.
In this video, we walk through the standard ice cream recipe for Vitamix.
Narrow container: 1 cup liquid with 1 pound of frozen
Wide container: 1.5 cups liquid with 1.5 pounds of frozen
You should only process for about a minute. If you blend for longer, you're going to get soup. :)
As always thanks for watching and for supporting our work.

Great video, I learned something from it. When I tried blending frozen fruits without much liquid, I thought the blades were getting jammed. However, I learned from your video that the blades were actually just spinning under the frozen mix without contact with the thick frozen fruit, and actually needed the tamper to push the thick mix into the blades.

Hi Jasmine, sorry to hear you had some trouble. Don't worry -- it happens to everyone. Okay, with the 7500, you'll want to use 1.5 cups liquid to 1.5 pounds of frozen. They should really allow buyers to pick a container they want with every new vitamix purchase. If i cook for 1, I'm stuck with either e310 or the ancient 5200, to allow small batches. Anything newer comes with a fat a$$ container forcing me to waste ingredients for batches too big. And i don't like e310 or 5200 because they are waaay too loud. And no preprogrammed options. Newer models aren't as loud but they do not offer a narrow container unless i want to drop another $100 and use the original 64 oz low profile container as a see through paper weight. Thanks a lot but I'll have to get a different brand.

    • @LINY
