Many people are wondering why Mon's younger and older sister are not wearing any headscarf and I do.... Me, I grew up very free and choose to put it on to make my parents in law happy. But Mon's sisters actually grew up with a lot of pressure to follow the religion, behave a certain way, dress a certain way, and now they are adults, they choose not to. Do you have any other questions for us after watching this video? This Wednesday at 12 pm (noon) Bangkok time we are planning to do our first live stream where we answer your questions. And also we will go visit Mon's parents again very soon so if there is anything you want to see, let us know here!
From Stockholm send you lots of love. Let the children learn respect and to choose their life and values, is the most generous gesture and pure love I think. You are so sweet, yeah sweet lanta. Good luck to you all
@Sandra Pahwa They are chained because they have a special function, to get the coconuts from the trees. This is a long and old tradition for the people in the village (before there were big cars with cranes, factories and big companies to do this) I cannot free them as they are not our monkeys. Also, if you free them, they will die, as they have been raised in captivity all their life.
I love that Maayan wears a head covering "out of respect". We will never all agree on religion or philosophies, but we can, and should respect each other. Thank you to Mon's family for letting us peak into their world. The food looks so YUMMY!
I love the way you can communicate so openly and honestly. Mon is so accepting and his parents should be proud of him. I like how you brought up your children to be free thinkers with your loving guidance❣️
Mon's parents are still lovely mum and father in law.i like it that mon's mum is really a good mum in law, still accepting her daughter in law in a good way, busy preparing food for everyone...great family.

I think it’s so respectful that you wear a scarf and so fun watching Mon react to his dad getting him to cut bamboo.. doesn’t matter how old we are our parents can make us feel like a kid at times! Lol
I’ve said this before, but again in this video when I hear Mon talk about seeing how hard his mom worked and wanting to help her, I am reminded of my husband (from Mexico). He also always helped her with cooking and all the housework. As a result he’s a great cook, too! And I am the lucky beneficiary of all those skills. Hopefully someday we’ll travel to Thailand and meet you in person!
Thanks for the video. The relationship between parents and children is the most important. Whatever our ways or our different beliefs it does not distance us from our family. Hope your family always happy.
I love your story! What a beautiful family. It's so cool that your kids will be able to watch these videos when they're older. I'm Mexican and my spouse is Korean. We've been living in Korea for about 4 years now!
Oh wow! I would be so interested to know more about your life, culture difference etc. So interesting! And you're right, I love it that I leave a legacy for the future for the kids (I mean the videos).
Mayaan, when you decided to do these videos, you may not have realized what a special gift they would be to all of us....I always learn so much! Mon, your love & care for your family & your joy for life always touches my heart! Yes Mayaan, there are cultural differences but you & Mon bring balance to each other & your family so well. You as well with your supportive loving of interest in embarking with embrace there on all levels. Children enjoy, watch help plus play ....Mon's mother very 'earthen borne' with her ways & means of living. ☮️✌️💝
Many thanks for these very private insights from Mon's family.I find it very brave to show the simple life there. For many it is strange that the monkey is kept in captivity there, but for Mon's family it is normal and also a blessing- we should not judge these things. Mon is such a good soul, washing dishes as a expression of his love for his mom- no matter what people said. Wow if I had a prize for the comment of the month, its definitely this one. Of course we are so touched by all the compliments we get from you. But I also really feel that your comment represents the non-judgemental acceptance of everyone and everything around us, even if it's so different from us and goes against our beliefs. This is what we need to have true peace in our world.
It is sooooo nice to see that there are still respectful people nowadays!!! Sadly enough, the new generation is missing that most of the times. You really have respect to each other’s religion and that is how it should be upto me. I really enjoy watching your videos for many reasons. I love the respect, “the normal life situation” and that it comes from your heart.

Well I am a 72 year old Canadian woman who has been living in Italy for over 30 years. My daughter was born here in Italy in 1985. I relate to you as a foreigner married to an Italian and adjusting to cultural differences. What languages to teach our children? How do we adjust and fit in? Religious differences etc. you are an inspiration to me as you are so calm and honest with your challenges. One thing for sure is once you make the decision to make a life in a different country there is no going back!
Nice one guys. Always enjoy. Cheers. I was going to ask about the other females not wearing a scarf but it was asked and answered below. Good on you for honouring Mon's mum's faith in you as his non Muslim partner by respecting her, Mon and his father also and wearing one. Very nice 🤩
It seems like some people might be wondering so I added the answer to this question to my pinned comment. Let me know if you have more questions after watching this video. We will be happy to answer!

When I saw you feeding the chickens, it brought back my childhood memories. My grandmother taught us to say "Kuurrrrr Bah Bah bah, Kuurrrrr, Bah Bah Bah" and all the chickens would run to us when they heard that! A calling-the-chickens song! 😀
Not many couples and people can talk openly as you. Even if they belong to the same culture. I feel happy to see how Mon carefully teach the children about life important things. I am inspired of both of you. I have never been to Thailand but I wish to meet you. Thank you for making this world a better place to live. Yes, it is important with respect.I remember from one video when Mon talked about telling to one I love you. In many cultures it was so and is that they love one from their hearts. Nowdays many say I love you but it does not mean that their love for their children and others is stronger. Your chanell is my holly book.🙏🏻❤️🍀☀️💕🌱🥰
Your mother in law loves you. She has come to accept you because to her Islam is a great thing to learn and seeing how her son married a non muslim who agreed to learn about Islam makes her very proud. You are the mother of her grandchildren that she loves so much. You have gained acceptance.
Love the respect you both show to his parents. Life is too hard to be unhappy. I think children today are being busy doing what their parents want them to do and like Mon sad you should instill in them to be good humans and be happy.
Mon is lucky to have you Maayan as his wife. Despite many differences because of your love for each other you learn to adjust in your marriage life especially with your children growing up. God bless you..
❤❤❤I think that this video gives us a true picture of the extent of conformity and homogeneity of people according to the mechanism of marriage between a Muslim and a Christian or a Jew whose basis is respect for religion, living according to its teachings, respect for the other, self-denial, and simplification of food and drink without affectation😊❤❤❤
So lovely to see you with your family Mon and Mayaan that you could go to support Mon there 💕 Thank you for showing us village life . God bless you all 💕🙏
Dear Mayan..... Pray that your family lead a happy and wonderful life. You are a beautiful person with a honest and happy soul. Hope you are able to study and understand islam... Our target is eternal life at hereafter.... Hope you achieve the best of both life...Take it easy and live life to the fullest...
Kudos .. Mayan ...Very respectful to Mon's parents..and the village society with the head covering. Head covering is also a Jewish tradition in the Torah I was told.
Stumbled upon your channel through bamboo life. I want to Thankyou for being so open about your lives. It is important to show the negative people that Jews and muslims can love each other. I’m from a Muslim background with a Thai Buddhist partner. I have 3 children and all I want from them is to live there lives in peace. Very inspiring channel. Great content
Amazing video guys!!! You are blessed to be together and create a beautiful family❤️ Your children are lucky because they are so loved! Different cultures can create problems but if LOVE exists, like in your case, it’s the most important!!! Mon I admire you because you are excellent husband & daddy! You have such a nice soul that’s why your gift is your wife! I totally agree that kids have to make their choices to be happy & live their life the way the want! Please make more videos like this one, with other families that live in Mon’s village! Love from USA!!!❤
Beautiful! The village is about 8 hour drive from our house so we are not often there but we are going again soon and will definitely make more content.
Beautiful how you show the struggles of love and how gorgeous the relationship and family can be for those who overcome the challenges that they are presented with

It does not feel right to wear a headscarf to please somebody else! You try to make Mon's mother to love you but you are not true to your self. You are perfect just the way you are even without your headscarf and Mons mother can learn this. I love that Mon is strong enough to follow his heart as to only please the parents needs! Only because of you the world can become a better place! Your father is right Maayan!! I really enjoyed the Video! Thank you for sharing!!❤❤❤
Wearing a headscarf a few days a year for me is not part of my personality. So I'm definitely true to myself even while wearing a headscarf. It's respect but also just a kind of "etiquette". Just like when I was working in the corporate world, I was wearing a suit and nice shoes, even though I would have rather put on my pajamas...
Well Said.Dressing modestly in your mother in laws home, shows how you respect your husbands family. It should be remembered she gave birth to your wonderful husband.🌹
I think is true we live life the way we want it. As long as we dont break the law and be evil to others. The time will come in your own time on following the faith between you & god. Anyway, wishing you both happy & harmonious life !!! All the way from Penang, Malaysia!!!
Also the mom loves you it’s obvious just continue being who you are! Also like mon says you’re straight forward, you’re beautiful, kind, independent, faithful enough to learn the culture and the Language! Three beautiful children, interested in invested in your family! Sorry I’ve been writing all though the video I’m just blessed by the video !

ما شاء، الله، Ma Shaa Allah you are very good Lady to mix with you husband Muslim family and I liked when I saw you sweep the floor, I wish good &happy long life
The headscarf is beautiful and you looked very good in it Maayan ! My Dutch son does dishes and he cooks ❤️🇳🇱 I think you have a wise father and a wise husband Maayan ! Much love from California ! 💕🌷🇳🇱
Gulai daging campur rebung (Meat curry with bamboo shoots) is extremely popular with the Malays of the northern states. We used Kerisik made from Nyior (coconut shreded too here). Yummy. Pattani Malays share the same recipes with the Kelantanese and Utara(northern Malays in Malaysia like Pulau Pinang, Kedah, Perlis. Love your family.
Nice video. Mon is a man of principles. Your beautiful children are lucky to have parents like both of you. Thailand languages sounds so nice. What a good filmmakers!🙏🏼🥰
16:12 On the island of Madura 🇮🇩 our family cooks processed bamboo shoots by slicing thinly like chips mixed with forest mushrooms and moringa leaves, sometimes if there is no meat mixture it is replaced with young breadfruit. My childhood was almost the same as your husband's, before and after school was spent helping my mother, I could almost master all my mother's cooking but until now I still don't know how to cook good rice 🤦 either too wet or too dry in the rice cooker
Glad you can settle your differences. In Indonesia this will be different story. I can tell Mon's such a hard worker although he has laid back outlook on life.
I do the dishes. Growing up in a Jewish home, my mother was burdened with having to cook seven days a week, prepare the table as well as watching over everything. It was the one thing my father would do to help during meal time. After all us kids and father were the recipients of a wonderful cook dedicated to raising a family. So I not only cook but I clean up as well much of the time.
He loves helping his mum mashallah My husband helps me, he is real leader but helps me without ever asking and his dads the same, following Prophet Muhammad (saw) footsteps who used to help his wives cook and clean, even the first Caliphs of Islam used to cook and clean. Umer RA who took Jerusalem also used to cook for women in labour and boil water for them while his wife used to do delivery....real humble leaders mashallah
There is nothing more important and precious in life then to respect and love each other♥✌ despite the religion - such you do Maayan and Mon ! Whe see Mon as a loving father and husband, - and as a son he is wonderful, not be ashamed washing dishes makes him more respectful for his mother. I enjoyed very much your interesting and great reflections about your life, and your children are two lovely kids with great personality ! Thanks for sharing 🙏👍
This is very similar lifestyle in my village in Johor, Malaysia. I can even understand some of the words that his mother and father said. Nowadays people like to plant shorter type coconut tree (less than 3 meters), slightly smaller in coconut size but still good enough. It is easier to get its fruit no monkeys needed.
But if the whole world make things the same it should not be interresting. What about chickens living inside a chicken house all their life? It is so in Many countries in this world..What about animals in Amazonas that get killed by big companies that produce palmoil. Nobody protest…Traditions have purpose, a life important one.🙏🏻
My italian husband usually does not do the dishes.....but I can really see how he hates doing dishes so so much. I actually like doing dishes.....it is the only thing I really like doing in the house.....so I just do it....end of story. He does other things that I really really hate doing. And he would definitely do a huge amount of dishes if that would be of help to his mum in a certain situation. Because he is a really good guy. I really like the personality of Mon. I think you got really lucky. He is wise and good and definitely STOIC. A lot to learn from him and his life philosopy.
Beautiful couple!❤❤ Moon is a modern, loving husband and parent and a good son even if he didn't follow their way and now you are so respectful in their home that I'm sure they love and have accepted you. As your husband says live life for yourself not for others, you,him and everyone shouls remember that always
ENVY watching you speaking THAI which i can’t do even after working here more than 4 years except few words 😢 Enjoyed your VDO and I keep watching. BRAVO 🎉
In my family, the women do most of the cooking, but men often do the dishes as a "thank you" for the terrific food! :) I love your video, life is MORE like this now than ever with many cultures melting together to form a different lifestyle. In my family for example my auntie married a black man, so my first cousins have lovely skin! My sister married a Hawaiian man, and later married a Chinese man. So nephews and nieces have black hair, another auntie married very blonde blue eyed European man... several in the family married Mexicans and Native Americans... Such varied cultures and religions in one family we learn to respect each other and enjoy the wonderful food brought in from each culture. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Mon is very loving husband and even though he did not follow the rules to marry a muslim women,,they feel that mon is happy now with his 2 beautiful children......
God bless your beautiful family ❤🙏🏼 I am halfblood (Belgian & Lebanese). I took years to understand who am I with my differences but it is so interesting to be part of more than one culture, religion, ... . Thank you for sharing those life moments ❤
For me it's a must responsibility for every kids to help their parents at every chores, it will do magic in developing emotional quotient for the kids. Since childhood I used to cook at times like my mum and sister went away for work or visited maternal grandparent home or hospital, I was washing the dishes, clothes, cleaning the house, watering at kitchen garden also. It's a good thing.
Last video, you were talking on both choices for the kids School. And i agreed with Mon: that being in tailand, its more important to your kids to be on a tai School. That way they learn the local culture. From where they live.
I think the Thai school is only for a few years till they learn to read and write and speak it well and then they go to International school. I thought thats what they had decided?
Well said Mon. Tell your wife dont worry abt your parents as long as she respect your parents. Focus on your family first but always respect both your parents & take care of them.
I like the way P’Mon said about how about his mom thinks about you . And his answer is so very warming and way to Gentleman. Different religions merit life but continue by a true love 💕.
You’re one lucky lady! What’s your life motto? What motivates you? What’s the most important life lesson you’ve learned? What do you believe helps depression? What are you most thankful for? I ask because your life seems so wholesome you must be doing something right! Thank you for sharing ?

Nowdays many say I love you but it does not mean that their love for their children and others is stronger. Your chanell is my holly book.🙏🏻❤️🍀☀️💕🌱🥰
Your mother in law loves you. She has come to accept you because to her Islam is a great thing to learn and seeing how her son married a non muslim who agreed to learn about Islam makes her very proud. You are the mother of her grandchildren that she loves so much. You have gained acceptance.
I see how much we all needed our grandparents in our lives so rewarding True 💕
Love the respect you both show to his parents. Life is too hard to be unhappy. I think children today are being busy doing what their parents want them to do and like Mon sad you should instill in them to be good humans and be happy.
Mon is lucky to have you Maayan as his wife. Despite many differences because of your love for each other you learn to adjust in your marriage life especially with your children growing up. God bless you..
I love how Mon think 😊 so open and does not care what others think 😊❤😊
Loved this video! So cool seeing the village life, and also such a great conversation for those of us in multicultural relationships! 👏👏👏
Mon is lucky to have you.. Most of all you guys are perfect for each other..
Beautiful! Thanks so much for coming to our channel and sharing your life. ❤❤❤
I feel like Mon was meant to be a dad, he has this very authentic vibe , he's so natural with the kids
Amazing video guys!!!

Your children are lucky because they are so loved!
I am an Arab & Muslim Man, and I proudly do the dishes! Why NOT?!
Beautiful how you show the struggles of love and how gorgeous the relationship and family can be for those who overcome the challenges that they are presented with
The way your husband loves you and his kids is so beautiful to see ❤ what a lovely family you have. Bless you 🙏 ❤
Came across your channel. Very interesting and educating to watch. Very proud of your husband He is a real family man. In our household men do cook take responsibilities equally. I am your new subscriber from India. Inquisitive to know more about your tradition.😍. Sweet family members. Your role with the family commendable.

I already love & respected Mon and now even more- he is concerned about his wife’s safety and make sure she does not lose a limb. Such a wonderful husband Mayaan! 🙏🙏🙏
I love both of your rebellious spirit! Mon is so amazing to be such a happy person! No, we can never make our parents happy!
It's their choice to be happy or not right? Thanks for watching!

@@SweetLifeLanta Makes sense!!💚
Well Said.Dressing modestly in your mother in laws home, shows how you respect your husbands family. It should be remembered she gave birth to your wonderful husband.🌹
I think is true we live life the way we want it. As long as we dont break the law and be evil to others. The time will come in your own time on following the faith between you & god. Anyway, wishing you both happy & harmonious life !!! All the way from Penang, Malaysia!!!
❤❤❤
I totally missed this moment. This is what I experienced in my childhood at my hometown Terengganu, Malaysia. That duck curry really look delicious 😋
מקסים! מרתק לראות כמה רחוק וכמה קרוב העולם הזה. וכמו תמיד אהבה זה כל הסיפור.
Simple life = happy life ❤
❤❤❤Simplicity in life with the presence of a true bond of love and understanding and on the basis of respect for religion and living according to its teachings and the rejection of anarchism and the life of irreligion appears clearly in the faces of these two loving couples away from the noise of abhorrent ideologies❤❤❤
Thanks so much lovely! I'm definitely blessed with beautiful men around me.
Love it! Heartwarming! Mayan, you are a wonderful wife/mother/daughter-in-law! Mon married for love is a very good man!
Yes, washing the dishes is normal. My Thai wife is happy about it. You help her with household chores. It makes her feel special.
Beautiful, thanks for sharing!
Another amazing vdo. Thank you for sharing Mon's parents place and sharing life conversations. I loved the instrumental music at the end!

Nice to see you again. Your children have grown a lot. They are beautiful.
What a beautiful family ❤
You’ve delivered a powerful punch, Mon - “ don’t live life for me, live for yourself!”
You must love your children ❤💫
Mon is a very intelligent and understanding man. You have a wonderful husband. He’s a treasure!
We love y'all so much. Y'all are so tolerant of each other.
wat fijn om te zien hoe jullie je aanpassen maar ook je eigen weg gaan. Respect lieve mensen!
Wat lief!
He loves helping his mum mashallah
My husband helps me, he is real leader but helps me without ever asking and his dads the same, following Prophet Muhammad (saw) footsteps who used to help his wives cook and clean, even the first Caliphs of Islam used to cook and clean. Umer RA who took Jerusalem also used to cook for women in labour and boil water for them while his wife used to do delivery....real humble leaders mashallah
He's such a good muslim husband I'm so happy for this family
Mon is so wonderful. He cooks, takes care of the kids and loves his wife and family. Where do you find men like that❤
I'm very blessed indeed. Thanks for watching ❤❤❤
Its just beautiful, all you people teach us about what real happiness is all about, thankyou 👍👍👍
ชีวิตครอบครัว ที่อบอุ่นมีรอยยิ้มให้กันและกัน ในทุกๆวัน อาหารน่ากินมากค่ะคุณม่อน Happy Love ❤️ 👍❤️
Thank you my dear ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
Only good man do the disches. Congrats Mon for working on yourself! Carry on.
Mon has the best Wife, she is kind, very calming and a great match for him
My italian husband usually does not do the dishes.....but I can really see how he hates doing dishes so so much.
Beautiful couple!❤❤
Moon is a modern, loving husband and parent and a good son even if he didn't follow their way and now you are so respectful in their home that I'm sure they love and have accepted you.
As your husband says live life for yourself not for others, you,him and everyone shouls remember that always
ENVY watching you speaking THAI which i can’t do even after working here more than 4 years except few words 😢
Enjoyed your VDO and I keep watching. BRAVO 🎉
I was emotional watching the mom cook. She reminded me of my own mother. I really missed my mom's home-cooked meals.
😭
❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful mixed mish mash
Mon is very loving husband and even though he did not follow the rules to marry a muslim women,,they feel that mon is happy now with his 2 beautiful children......
Your video demonstrates what humanity should be, thank you for your video. Bless you
Wow you and Mon are very respectful. and such a happy family❤
God bless your beautiful family ❤🙏🏼
I am halfblood (Belgian & Lebanese). I took years to understand who am I with my differences but it is so interesting to be part of more than one culture, religion, ... .
Thank you for sharing those life moments ❤
And thank you for watching and sharing your story!
Fascinating to watch how the food is made from fresh natural ingredients, no canned coconut milk or canned bamboo.
Definitely ❤❤❤
Mom is such a wonderful man, dad, and husband!
I now look at Mon in a different light. My goodness, he knows how to do everything! Jack of all trades!
Yes I feel the same way! ❤️❤️❤️ Maayan
Last video, you were talking on both choices for the kids School. And i agreed with Mon: that being in tailand, its more important to your kids to be on a tai School. That way they learn the local culture. From where they live.
I absolutely agree too!
I think the Thai school is only for a few years till they learn to read and write and speak it well and then they go to International school. I thought thats what they had decided?
Mayaan, you are so respectful to his parents ♥️
Well said Mon. Tell your wife dont worry abt your parents as long as she respect your parents. Focus on your family first but always respect both your parents & take care of them.
Mon making sure wife is safe
Beautiful family! Mayan, you are so authentic and respectful❤❤❤
What a beautiful family. May Allah Bless you and your family.
I like the way P’Mon said about how about his mom thinks about you . And his answer is so very warming and way to Gentleman. Different religions merit life but continue by a true love 💕.
Thank you so much for your kind words ❤❤❤
You’re one lucky lady! What’s your life motto? What motivates you? What’s the most important life lesson you’ve learned? What do you believe helps depression? What are you most thankful for? I ask because your life seems so wholesome you must be doing something right! Thank you for sharing ?
Different backgrounds but love one other that's the most important ❤ blessing you both and the kids.
