I think showing affection to each other is even more important especially for a couple like them who are so busy throughout the day that they might be too exhausted to love on each other by the time her husband gets home in the evening.
Are we both watching the same video? This guy comes off as lazy and ungrateful to me. He doesn't help around the house AT ALL. When his wife went to see him at work with the kids, she helped him with his job, but he couldn't help her in the house or AT LEAST watch the kids while she was cooking. Being "tired" is not an excuse since he's not the only one who's "tired" here, she's been working all day as well. I would lose my mind if I had a husband like that. She's very patient and tolerates his behavior. I lost it when he started complaining about his wife's cooking as if she didn't spend a long time standing in the kitchen just to make him food. wow emily is so amazing at korean . the way she chooses how to phrase things when speaking in front of her in laws is just so beautiful and kind. “their support is like gold to me” 🥹 her outlook on life is admirable as well ❤😊
Same with me here. When people are so nice consistently and I feel at home with them and my entire being settles will with them, I can't help but bubble praises and gratitude in all ways. Goodness feels so good.
I finally understood why my mom keeps stocking up food in her fridge, I think the fear of not having food and having to find time to buy them when you have so many kids to care for, is such huge fear that causes so much anxiety in all the moms, and the only way to calm that anxiety is to have as much food as possible in the house 🤣
Keeping a well stocked fridge is a thing in Canada. Because of our density grocery stores are further away. Most families visit grocery stores once per week. Even for condos / apartment buildings, it's uncommon to have a grocery store right at the ground level. If you forget to buy something / urgently need something.... it's more borrow it from your next door neighbour than go to a store to buy it.
… and add to the fact that prices are going up everyday. If I see something on sale that I won’t be using soon I’d probably still buy it and freeze it. Especially with three young kids
Yes, there is having food that you'll use soon, and then hoarding. It can be a tendency from like you said, not having enough in your past, or having to be very conservative with food and other items. It can be a product of trauma.
This is probably my favorite episode to date. I love Emily’s personality, the way she’s able to have fun and not take things too seriously even when the circumstances are tough. The husband is very hardworking and kind, and I feel that he grew softer at heart thanks to Emily’s love. Their kids obviously see that love and seem like good kids. Even though Emily and Bosun fight when things get tough, I feel that their love will win no matter what ❤❤
Emily has a LOT of patience and never even got praised for all the work she does while she made sure to compliment her man who does the bare minimum, multiple times. She is definitely unappreciated. I’m glad she seemed to have a wonderful mother in law, at least she is appreciated by her. The husband couldn’t even say anything nice specifically about Emily at the end. He gives me weird vibes
@@udontevenwannaknowbruv How they are living is very traditional and its whats works best for society. Mothers are nurturers and she is doing a fantastical job at it. To be honest she is a strong woman who is very into her femininity because she provides a nurturing and peaceful place to her family. The husband, although tired after work, is doing his best to work almost 12 hours a day of physical labor in order to get money for food, rent and their life, he is doing his job as a provider and being the father to the kids. Both of them are working as a team to raise a family, this is one best example of a nuclear family, sometimes life is rough, having a family is never a happy ever after, because both husband and wife have to face issues together. By working together, they played to their strengths but also supports each other's weaknesses. You might be poisoned or told by modern society that this might look wrong but civilization through out history has lived and worked with this type of nuclear family. If what you were taught was different, then good luck getting married or having a family.
@@udontevenwannaknowbruvIf you are a woman, you should work a lot of hours a day where you leave in the morning and come back in the late evening. Then, your husband can be a house husband, and a stay at home dad.

I disagree with the commentors who are saying that the husband is a nightmare or red flag. Yes, he can be more understanding of Emily's system and complain less. But he has good traits. He works hard. He tries to help Emily out like improving her driving skills. He tries to learn and cook with her. Most importantly, they clearly love each other/their kids, and their kids can see it. Expecting improvement is fair but perfection is not.
Exactly. I feel like most people in relationships nowadays try to be a yes-man. It’s okay to disagree with your significant other so long as you love and respect one another.
I've watched a few of these and tbh he's the best man so far lol others nag so terribly while the wife was working 10 hour days etc here I think he's just financially worried. But I love their family dynamic you can really tell they love each other.
Agree, compared to most Korean married men he's helping out with housework and other things a lot more. He's working 12-hour shifts or longer, 6 days a week and tries to find time to do things together with his family and be there for his wife.
Emily deserves so much credit and is quite remarkable for raising 3 children in a world that’s so different from Canada. Plus her husband works a lot , so she’s constantly home with with the kids which can be drive any mom insane. She has perseverance and you can see she has nothing but good intentions. Like being overly prepared is definitely a North American thing. You can never be unprepared. The overpacking and over-preparing is one way in which shows how she cares and loves her family. Their 3 children are very beautiful. It is nice to see how his family adores her and that Koreans are becoming more accepting of other races. It’s about time Korea gets with the program and accepts interracial marriages.❤
I cried at what the husband said about the family saving him, this family is so cute. The nagging is funny, it’s what I grew up with. I love the support and happiness of the children, that speaks volumes of how the parents care and love them.
Oh the husband and wife are clearly madly in love despite the rough finacial situation they're in.. plus the mother in law and that as support... ugh beautiful family!
It’s nice to see such a simple and humble life of a family in Korea. Both of them has a good understanding of one another, and it’s nice how the wife keeps assuring her husband that’s he’s doing a good job.
Yes and it’d be great if he could do the same for her, instead of nagging and criticising her so much. He could drink from her wisdom, kindness and light.
Beautiful family. Emily is such a good wife and mother. Her husband seemed cold at first but his tears in the end show that he does love and appreciate his wife and kids. I wish this beautiful family nothing but the best ❤🙏
I have to say, considering they didn't even speak a common language when they met and had an unplanned pregnancy, they're doing AMAZING! Literally defying all possible odds. You're smashing it guys, please keep loving each other. Husband's family seems really warm and relaxed, too.
It is truly remarkable that they managed to build a life in a family out of this type of unconventional start to a relationship but gosh I hope young women realize what an anomaly this is because most of these stories you hear are quite the opposite unfortunately but isn't it lovely that they have beautiful kids together
They’re very affectionate and emotionally matured. Their fights did not last long as one will deescalate the situation whenever they sense the others are getting agitated. It’s so good to see healthy couple.
This is such a healthy thing to show. They clearly love each other, but fighting is always going to happen. There are huge cultural differences but they’re not letting it get in the way, which is great. Boson’s parents are the in laws you dream of, and I LOVE that they understand exactly how hard things can be for Emily at times. After living in SK for three years, I know that not many people truly understand what Emily goes through living on the other side of the planet. The fact they both have such love and support around them and for each other… it’s lovely to see.
They were on a different parenting show previously about parents having difficulty with one of or any of their children. They were on the show cause she had difficulty communicating with her kids since her kids mainly spoke korean and the mother spoke english. In one scene, the mother asked the firstborn to speak to her in english but the child got frustrated too saying she doesnt know how to say her words in english and they both cried while hugging each other and the mother apologising for not being korean. Another worry was the father being too intimidating. They did exercises in the end to communicate better with each other. But from what I saw, the family is actually very loving. I really like this family.
Both the wife and the husband produced beautiful kids. I love how Emily managing all the works as a housewife and still helps with the delivery with their kids and husband. Such a huge responsibility and still shows how much she love and adore her. husband. The three kids brings out the good and the bad side of the parents of to cope things in their lives. I cannot help to admire Bosun’s family as they love Emily -- she is like an Asian woman. Emily is patient, very loving, caring and a good wife. She loves her family so much. Bosun’s heartfelt words about his family was very heartwarming and full of care as he said,”his family nis his life”. I cried when he cried, his honesty and sincerity about his family is sweet and loving. God bless them all. ❤Thank you so much for sharing. This is one of my favourites from K-Doc. ❤
Love how she goes to help him at work. That is a good bonding moment for the family, and those kids are learning good characters to have as people towards the people they love. Those kids will remember those days.
You don't have to be a perfect person to be perfect for the one you love. Even despite their quirks and disagreements, you can see how the strength of their love fills in the gaps and smooths their rough edges. This is what keeps them united and smiling even through hard times. I think that's beautiful and so rare nowadays. I really admire how they are raising their kids. These little ones will soon grow up into responsible, caring, independent, respectful people who know exactly what real love looks like because they were surrounded by so much of it every day. Alone each one is nothing, but together, they are a family--growing together, learning from each other, becoming better through their sacrifices for each other.
Dad is very handsome, a lot of foreigners appreciate manly or very masculine looking men. And I noticed that in Asian countries they prefer feminine looking men and think that they are handsome. So to us foreigners it’s weird when they call him ugly beauty is subjective.
My husband and I always in this situation. He thinks everything is wasted because it stays in the freezer for long time. Wife who cooks a lot must have everything she needs in the kitchen. Everyone eats but not everyone cooks. 😅
Not only that, youre wasting more money on gas from driving everyday back and forth. Also, if your wife is afraid and lost when driving, why would you want her driving with the kids everyday wasting gas?

I think the grocery thing is cultural but also Canada/USA is MUCH bigger than Korea so everything is spaced further apart especially when you live in a rural or suburban area. Making. Daily trips to the grocery store is a big chore and doing a once and done trip every week makes more sense here. But in smaller countries and big cities where things are closer together it makes more sense to just go when you need something.

@@suvisue6070i agree they dont have the best relationship 50/50 wise its the traditional oh “as long as the man is working all day hes doing his part so u cant complain about anything he does”
@@Jjangbunbunexactly. I feel so bad for her, I was shocked that he couldn’t show gratitude like she was doing the whole time. His complaining was childish and rude
@@sanha-127 So you say you'd rather have a toddler for a husband? A toddler who constantly complains about everything, doesn't help with anything, and throws a hissy fit when things don't go his way? ok. Good luck with that lol 😂
As someone who grew up living in the same house as an adult who acts like this husband, I say I would rather die than date or even get married to someone like this. It's so annoying and frustrating to deal with their incompetence.
How is being an adult and taking care of yourself and your children "acting like your dad"? Being loving, caring, understanding, and helpful to your family is a good thing.

wow emily is so amazing at korean . the way she chooses how to phrase things when speaking in front of her in laws is just so beautiful and kind. “their support is like gold to me” 🥹 her outlook on life is admirable as well ❤😊
hopefully they are on her side 😂😂😂😂
동의해요
… and add to the fact that prices are going up everyday. If I see something on sale that I won’t be using soon I’d probably still buy it and freeze it. Especially with three young kids
Yes and it's good backup in case the kids don't want to eat anything I cooked for them and would rather have something else.
Yes, there is having food that you'll use soon, and then hoarding. It can be a tendency from like you said, not having enough in your past, or having to be very conservative with food and other items. It can be a product of trauma.

@@MusicSideAllDaythanks
This is probably my favorite episode to date. I love Emily’s personality, the way she’s able to have fun and not take things too seriously even when the circumstances are tough. The husband is very hardworking and kind, and I feel that he grew softer at heart thanks to Emily’s love. Their kids obviously see that love and seem like good kids. Even though Emily and Bosun fight when things get tough, I feel that their love will win no matter what ❤❤
I also like how she didn't raise her voice towards her children. Many parents take the easy way out & just scold their child.
Thank you for saying that❤ so sweet!!!!
She acc started a UA-cam channel “Emily in Korea” :) its really cute youtube.com/@emyfullofbeans?si=vskub3CaZUTrqQSl
I love how Emily is so obsessed and so in love with her husband. Their family is so cute!!
I love how they raise their children. Emily doesn't spoil them, so they don't grow up too dependent. The couple also are very close and too cute
Yup ! It's lovely.🥰
You mean how she raises her children because that husband barely interacted with them
@@udontevenwannaknowbruv How they are living is very traditional and its whats works best for society.
Every couple fights, and it shows they’re in a healthy relationship the way they’re able to get over it so quickly. They obviously love each so much, and they adore their kids. I had a smile on my face watching this the whole time.
I love how they call each other “pping” and “ppang” it’s adorable
They started a Chanel Emily in Korea
I hope they r still together..Emily n Bosun?
@@nesamalarkandiah9348 bro so she has a youtube channel and an insta and a tiktok. I skimmed the yt and the insta (i dont use tiktok anymore) and he wasnt in anything BUT her and the kids seem like they do modeling and a lot of the instagram is just a modeling profolio. The youtube is more vlogging and talking about being an expat and i skimmed a few videos and she never mentioned him but it didnt feel like it was an avoiding way so idk. But she also was doing a trip w the kids w out him too.
So honestly I got no idea, he isnt on any of her social media but it doesnt seem like a totally bad lack of presence either.
This is the only one I’ve seen - but to account for the fact of how well they work together even with those cultural differences is beautiful!
@@cat7181 I really love how supportive his family is towards her. It must make a world of difference for her especially being in a foreign country.
I would watch a tv show with them. They’re so realistic and they’re struggles remind me of my childhood.
Hope she starts a youtube channel. Would love to watch some vlogs or even shorts.
Their Family YT channel: Full of beans Emily in Korea
Omg can we have a show please?!!!! So fun!!!!❤
Omg this woman is such a ray of sunshine.....hope he appreciates her and vice versa
Thank you! Yes we are lucky in love for sure!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Do you have a link to that show?
Aww emily's line about "if i had known this back then i'd have been less depressed" is so sweet
Her heart is worth more than gold. ❤
Ok but like why was this the most wholesome and precious video to stumble upon at 4am?! I was instantly hooked in 😭
Love how she goes to help him at work.
You guys should start a youtube channel it's really refreshing to see such a lovely family
But the work of pulling that through, I would be very worried of Emily's health
I think it's doable. She could do 5 min vlogs or shorts than longer videos.

This lady is definitely a keeper.
You mean a "slave" as a "keeper"?
Dad is very handsome, a lot of foreigners appreciate manly or very masculine looking men. And I noticed that in Asian countries they prefer feminine looking men and think that they are handsome. So to us foreigners it’s weird when they call him ugly beauty is subjective.
@25:12 Awww Emily is so blessed to have such wonderful in-laws that love her back! The grandma is so cute! Good genes run in the family
My husband and I always in this situation. He thinks everything is wasted because it stays in the freezer for long time. Wife who cooks a lot must have everything she needs in the kitchen. Everyone eats but not everyone cooks. 😅
And besides, if the wife has to go to the grocery everytime she needs something, then that would be time taken away from doing other chores, right?
Not only that, youre wasting more money on gas from driving everyday back and forth. Also, if your wife is afraid and lost when driving, why would you want her driving with the kids everyday wasting gas?
Honestly that's what a family is, starting from the married couple it's all about teamwork and communication. Kudos to these two awesome people for being great examples for their kids!
It's so good to see this kind of documentary. What I usually see in France is caricatural families treated with some irony by the journalists. Contrary this is inspirational : this couple working as a team is a great example for all of us, I'm tired of divorce stories so thank you!
this is still rare as it takes people that are open and understanding while accepting that fighting is fine as long as you move forward.
Emily seems like a truly lovely person.
what a fantastic woman and mother she is. im in awe and wish to meet someone like her one day!
Aww, this is the cutest episode I’ve ever seen. The amazing family together despite many different challenges. The wife who is the center of the universe, making everything happened by supporting the husband and the home. Many well wishes for this family and hopefully there will be a great update. 👏
The kids are so happy, expressive, beautiful. They love their mom and dad and love each other, too. They play together, talk together, clean together. So we’ll mannered. Congrats, parents. Parents are kind, too.
I love the chill and calm demeanor of this video. Although it’s difficult due to many factors, it’s not stress-inducing to watch. 😊 It’s real and raw, and it elicits hope to couples. Either that, or the editing is great! 😂 I’m sure it’s a little of both.
being a mom of 3 kids is such a tough job... it's like working 3 jobs at the same time, thinking endlessly.... so filling the fridge i totally understand, but maybe not all the time so there won't be a fight always hehe fighting!❤
I have mad respect for mothers. I can't even imagine having a child let alone 3 of them!😂 I have 3 nephews and on nice. Needless to say but the two oldest are like a storm. I am content with the fact that to them I am the funny aunt with the cat and dogs.😂 I love my nephews and nice but I am glad they return with the parents at the end of the day.😂😂
@leliavoinea7253 ikr! I used to take care of this 2 kids before & they might be the cutest little things, but it was not e-a-s-y🥲 they also had some wild specie episodes... i remembered this scissor flying towards me, i was so glad i didn't expire🥹 And the curiosity just never ends, it makes me feel dumb when i can't answer their questions🥸... i just think i can never be like my mom... how did all the mothers survive? this is just an enigma to me
its easy once they are potty trained and you don't have to worry financially. I find having them do chores and responsibility at a young age helps keeps thigs in order
Its not a job is to take care of your responsibilities. I take care of my two kids and I don't call it a job. I decided on this and I need to do my best. Such a drama now days. I don't even find it difficult to take care of them and love them.
Props to all the moms and dads that hustled for their kids. ❤
Aww her mother in law is so lovely and nice to her. What a wonderful family! Stay well and bless you. 🥰
I can relate when she said that the fridge is her turf and that he doesn’t do the cooking so she knows better of what and what not to have.. 🤣🤣🤣
That’s a really good point! A lot of videos and shows I see of Korea always show people just walking to a convenience store when they want something, but where I live in the us that’s impossible-you have to drive

He is a great dad she is a great mom. I am glad his family loves her unconditionally ❤.
Since the kids behave when dad is around. He and mom should create a schedule for the kids and pin it up where they can see it and he should explain the schedule so that it can be enforced...so that they can get their homework done ..get all school paperwork checked and signed on time, do small chores around to keep yhe space tidy, when to play at home and outside in the park, when to get a snack.
You guys continue to do well and improve and I wish you all the health and strength to carry on.

I love how they're so supportive of one another, the realistic depiction of married life + how cheerful their family is despite the life struggles. It feels natural and it's really refreshing to see how humble they are compared to the other interracial couples as if putting on a show that I've seen featured on shows/UA-cam channels like this. And what adorable kids!!! All such cuties! They're all so cheerful and happy~ I'm sure the parents will miss those kiddos once they've all grown up too! God bless this humble and loving family. I really like the what emily says at 11:08 about the struggles they are going through at that moment and how it is the most important period of their life. It is true because the hardest period in your life defines what happens next. How you handle it and manage it really shapes the outcome of your life.
