Hi everyone! We are reposting this video because UA-cam has decided it goes against Community Guidelines. Unfortunately when UA-cam removes a video it doesn't clarify specifically which scene so we have removed the scene we thought it was and reposted. Thanks so much everyone for all your support! I think that the wife is so open to beauty in everything she sees and experiences and her husband is such a fun person to be around. They both suit each other so well and they are so caring and Loving towards the children and the parents. I just loved to watch these episodes. It shows that there are so many things that bringes beauty into life and we in the West Can surely learn a lot from this lifestyle

And money from a Western woman! The main reason to take her for Mon.
Grandpa and grandma are sure very happy for their son because of his Western woman, the money flows. Why you people romantizise this way of living? No woman wants to be in the kitchen all the time, 7 days a week. They can t choose! They have to do it! You talk about simple life and all the " loving ". Put off your glasses!

I don‘t understand why UA-cam has a problem with this video. It‘s awesome to see how culture, languages and religion come together in a peaceful way.
You should definitely do a Q&A about your family and perhabs with other couple like Jeanette and Sulai and Lily and his husband.
I was wondering what languages your kids speak and understand. Do you speak Dutch with them or English only? Do they speak Thai fluently? How do they communicate with their grandparents? Do they also speak Thai?
I am Swiss but visiting Thailand a couple times. I love ❤️ and miss it since Covid I wasn‘t able to fly over due to many restrictions.
I am excited to see more of your lovely family💙.

Southern Thailand is a Malay Peninsula ,Malay country. Hundreds of years ago the Thai kingdom annexed it, bringing thousands of Thai people to migrate to the Malay peninsula and the Malays were increasingly pushed to the south Until they become a minority in their own ancestral land .Free them and the business is finished.

I don’t know how UA-cam algorithm took me to this vlog but pleasant to follow your channel. I remember when I took a solo trip to Krabi and Koh Lanta in 2015, just one month before I moved to the Netherlands for my study. I stayed at a guesthouse owned by Thai muslim family, they were very friendly. When I heard your husband and mother-in-law talk in their local language - somehow I could understand (maybe around 50-60%) and relate to their life as I, myself, grew up in a small muslim village in Indonesia. The one called “tupa” in Malay-Pattani, we call it “ketupat”, specially served for Hari Raya.
I hope to visit Southern Thailand again one day (and of course the beautiful Koh Lanta).
Bedankt dat jullie me terugbrengen naar die mooie reisherinnering in Zuid-Thailand! Ik kijk er naar uit om meer video's van jullie te zien! Success! 👍

Loghat melayu daerah lain cakap “biskut”, pattani dan kelantan cakap “sekuk”. Loghat melayu daerah lain cakap “duit” loghat pattani dan kelantan cakap “duik/pitih”

Watching the clip of you guys making tupa reminds me of my grandmother. She makes them every year, but ours are a bit different, the outside is woven and we fill it up with just rice, nothing else. My dad is actually her main helper, he weaves them and fills them up with her. I help out here and there, but I hope to learn to make them on my own one day. When we were under lockdown and couldn't go back, my dad insisted on making some at home. They were not as perfect as my grandmother's, but of course, still just as nice to eat. ❤️

There are 2 types of ketupat, one use only rice cooked in woven young coconut leaves.
The other type uses glutinous rice mixed with coconut milk plus sugar or salt and cooked in palm leaves that we call palas. Mon’s mom were making this type of ketupat/tupa

In my family the cooking (when we have a celebration or gathering) is done by all the older members of the family, all my aunts, uncles, my parents will gather to help my grandparents make the food. Dear Mon and Maayan.
Thank you so much for the beautiful videos and showing us true diversity in action 😊
I’m also from a multicultural background, and can say confidently that every single experience in diversity has just made my life richer. Your kids are going to benefit so much from truly experiencing such different cultures, especially with parents that are successfully able to navigate some of the pitfalls and advocate, gently, to respect that diversity.
I’m learning a lot from you about gracefully answering sensitive and sometimes impertinent questions. Your replies to ‘why do you let your son wear X?’ or ‘why don’t you pray?’ are respectful, simple, honest yet assertive.
I often find myself oversharing massively to defend our lack of religious beliefs or liberal views, when you’re proof that it’s absolutely unnecessary. It comes from the people pleaser in me and to be honest, people are not owed insights into my deepest moral convictions (nor do they want the lecture, I’m sure!).
Thanks again for being a wonderful example of diversity done ‘right’- I hope my husband and I will be able to do the same for our future kids (if we decide to have them).

Wow I'm so happy to read your comment. To be honest, I do sometimes struggle to answer, and have deleted and edited my response multiple times so it doesn't always come easy as it may seem... Therefore I appreciate your comment even more... lately I have not been able to answer much after going viral, or even read all the comments 😅 which is also a new phase of this growing channel. But definitely want to answer you, thanks SO much!
