That looks like incredible value - definitely worth consideration over even a used unit. Got to say Matt that your videography really is setting a standard in this space - top job, sir.
if i only had 1 bike and getting into power meters this would be a great item. my first power meter was powertap hub now i have a powertap p1 pedals so i can switch between bikes easier. Matt your intro and exit was just on fire hope your training is going well!
First, if you are reading this, I hope you hit the like button on the video 😉 I am personally not really the target market for a PM like this, but I am impressed that a device at this pricepoint provides serviceable results! Pretty sure they beat Shimano's offering by a landslide... For which Shimano should be embarassed... I love my Rallys but have typically recommended Favero as a budget friendly option given the expanded metrics you can get from pedal-based meters. It's great to have an even cheaper option that can be recommended. I think my only concern (being early in the market) is their long-term reliability and weather worthiness. But, I have confidence that Magene has done their due diligence. I have to give it to Magene, they are coming in strong with solid budget options for the cycling community!
I know Shimano's power meter 😬 right? That's been such a train wreck. At this point couldn't Shimano just buy these at $300 and sell them for $1000 and slap their name on it. Hope all is well over there!!!
Good day!!!! Oh man, what a mess of a name. BUT that price? Shoot!!! Such dynamic stock footage in the intro. Around 120, is that the park around the lake? Oh baby, that comparability with Shimano BB is clutch!!! Do you remember when 52/36 was called a 'pro compact'? That made me feel so fast. NO WAY- the Shimano rings are compatibility? Man....this is a really well thought out product. Tell me what the highest watts you've ever seen? I'm genuinely not sure I've breached 1000 watts... The calibration process is also really well thought out. Ahahaha "Ah, I don't know, it is a bout 300 watts...whatever..." 700 watts baby!!!! NICE. OHHHHHHH!!!!! The "find my network" feature is snazzyy!!!! Oh the transition that went THROUGH the pedals!? That's a really nice cut. If I was into the power meters, this would be a strong contender! We have Stages just up the road, so hard not to support the locals, but this would be an excellent option, for sure! XOXO buddy

Well it depends on sizing of each but this crankset is very light weight at around ~ 650g vs Ultegra cranksets which weight a range of : 668 (46-36T) 674 (50-34T) 681 (52-36T) 690 (53-39T).
Really 🤔 Are you seeing issues when ridding inside and outside? I’m just wondering about some sort of odd interference. Maybe reach out to them and see how their customer service is at trouble shooting. Sorry buddy.

Have it from day one. Unbeatable for that price and more precise than more expensive junks out there.
Very good to hear feedback from someone who has had it a bit longer. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment Panagiotis.
hello, can you give update on the power meter? is it still accurate? any problems? considering to buy it

i am looking at the favero spd pedal for my gravel bike mostly and some mtb riding
I also had the powertap as a first power meter. It was perfect! 👍

Good option at a solid price. Could be a good recommendation for youth teams. 🤷🏻♂️
I would like to add Favero Assioma as a pedal based power meter. Starting from ~400USD
Very good call. And the Assioma is also extremely accurate. I've yet to test one here on this channel but hope to some day. Thanks Ivan!
Not really. These are selling for ~$750 right now. More than double what the Magene sells for at the moment.
Yea they definitely aren’t $400 new even for the uno
I just installed mine a couple weeks ago on my grx 1x and it’s spot on accurate and high quality. I highly recommend it.
I have to admit that I was surprised. My data has been great with it. Glad it’s working out well for you! 👍
Again a great video!

How have the Magene chainring worked so far? I saw some people commenting some of them came slightly bent
Oh no. Bent would be really bad. I’ve only the experience with the one but it’s been solid so far.

Is this compatible with with mtb and road bikes?
I would think this is road specific because of the sizes offered.
What about the weight, compared to a ultegra crankset?

Compatible with ultegra r6800 chain ring?
I think so. It’s the 110BCD four-bolt specification.
Yes, using Ultrgra 6800 here
