They obviously have the sense of sterilisation and will scrub before entering the laboratory, moreover, the procedure space should have been fumigated before hand ....
Being a student of horticulture you should use gloves while working in the tissue culture lab because the chemical used are very dangerous for skin....overall this was a very helpful vedio..
I worked for coffee tissue culture and have produced over two lakh coffee plants. We never used gloves. Tissue culture chemicals are not dangerous. Chemicals used for genetic engineering, DNA fingerprinting, Cryopreservation etc are dangerous where gloves are required.
Because they are done under highly contamination free places like laminar or tissu culture lab so it's hard to provide these surrounding that's why it is not taught in schools
