As the father of A Make A Wish Foundation daughter 10. You can be proud (as we are of the Air Canada flight team) for being part of making a child's wish come true. The memories of our daughters trip we hold close. A huge thank you for mentioning the important child as you did. Thank you.
I work in UA's domestic network planning. I oversee a lot of gating & flight scheduling etc at EWR. Love the frontline "behind-the-scenes" you give our customers on your various digital platforms. You put a personality to the company that many of us can't do, and I'm grateful you allow the public to see how fortunate we are to work in the industry. Keep up the amazing work, and thanks for making the skies friendly! :)
Hi, I am looking to Pivot into a network planner position in the airlines industry. It is a dream of mine. I currently work in defense industry as a production planner. What tips would you recommend for someone looking to get into a network planning role?
Waiting for UA to beat its domestic network length record with a nonstop hub-to-hub flight from GUM to the mainland (triweekly 787-8?)...although I still heart the Island Hopper...
The end of this is what life is all about. "There but for..." I sure hope they had a fantastic trip. Man that puts things into perspective for sure. And also that you never know what people are dealing with.
Your cinematics are awesome! It's beyond me how you have time to fly, plan, film and edit all while still having amazing energy and a beautiful smile in front the camera! ❤
I did this hike yesterday because of your video so wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you taking the time to make it and share it with us!! Thanks very much!
I love your positive attitude and your gratitude for what you have in your life. We all need to be kinder to each other while enjoying our lives. Kudo's for getting out of the hotel and exploring. I'm guilty of NOT getting out of my hotel room enough when I use to travel on business. Hopefully others will be encouraged and take your lead to explore when they are traveling for business.
Paul. Thank you for your wonderful videos, and all the reminders. We should be great for whatever we have.. God be with you & to all the airline workers
Flew this exact route about seven years ago and compared to the return trip laying over LAX there's no comparison. The nonstop is more convenient and feels unique as there's only a select few of nonstop flights between NYC and Hawaii.
You remind us of what matters. You brought that young girl to a beautiful place safely, a place she might not have otherwise ever seen, a place that I'm sure brought her joy. Much respect for who you are and the work that you do. ❤.
Great video. I work with adults who are developmentally disabled. My client Jon is 45 yrs. and emotionally about 2 yrs old. He can be a handful and it takes a lot of mental and emotional energy to deal with him every minute I am with him. If I had the opportunity to go with him on a Make A Wish vacation to Disneyworld, I would go with him in a heartbeat. The trip wouldn't be for me, it would be for him. Just to see the smile on his face when he sees a Disney character, or an attraction, it makes the whole experience worthwhile.
Gotta love the UA-cam algorithm! I see I liked this video....but weirdly don't remember it, so I'm watching again. On the 767-300/400 differences. I like that they "test you" if you haven't flown it within 90 days. It's very important to know where things are and what they do. Reminds me of when I switch cars from my 2015 Lexus RX350 to my 2001 Chrysler Sebring Convertible. The Sebring is 100% analog....no help other than mirrors and of course dropping the top. The RX350 has a backup camera, blind spot monitoring, park assist (sound/visual) and probably a few things I don't even know. Same stuff happens after a 1-2 week trip driving a rental car and get back into your own ride and think...ok where is that again? HAHA.
Such good videos, so well edited. A great blend of both avgeek and travel, all with a positive outlook on how lucky most of us are. As a nearly 2MM United flyer, hopefully I’ll see ya around some day. Thanks for the videos!
Aloha from Hawai’i 🤙🏽 Mahalo for not trashing our state. A lot of people do these travel blogs and use it as a platform to feature less than desirable content. Mahalo a nui 🤙🏽
This is amazing! I’ll be taking a 767-400 from Orlando to Atlanta in a couple of weeks! This VLOG is literally the definition of what my pilot goals are! On a personal note, I filmed your first-ever landing in Orlando back in 2020 and it’s cool to see you and your channel blossom over the years! -Eric
Stumbled across your channel tonight while looking for aviation vlogs. Love the insight / glimpse into the industry and lifestyle but holy smokes was not expecting it to be paired with such a great perspective on life and gratitude. Thrilled to subscribe and have a ton of content to catch up on! Thanks for the great stuff, keep it up
At 2:40 you can see the water inside the concrete barriers. Went there one night with my brother and turned off our dive lights. Running your hands over the rocks/concrete you'd see the seaweed (or what ever it is) lighting up IT WAS AWESOME!
The Koko Head stairs are a must. I’ve seen all types of people doing them, and some with weighted vests getting in their exercise. There is also a botanical garden inside the Koko crater that is free. Somehow your channel popped up and I’ve enjoyed the videos.

I was on a 777 from ORD > OGG for my 400th United flight. When I asked the captain to sign my ticket, I found out that's was the 36 year veteran's (Capt. Paul) retirement flight. Afterward, he left with his wife to the sunny beaches of Maui. On the return flight, I was on the 767 from OGG > EWR (in this case, it would be the 2nd longest domestic flight 😁).

My wife and I did this flight in 2006 for our honeymoon. That 767-400 was the largest plane either of us were on especially me since it was the third time I ever flew. The 11 hours on the plane plus the time changes was really a mind warp. Both my wife and I got food poisoning a couple of days before our wedding. We were just talking about the possibility of going back for another Hawaii vacation. EWR is our United home hub. So I look forward to a long haul flight. BTW I flew on a 777 from EWR to SFO for my previous employer last year. That’s a pretty big airplane too. Those engines have such a unique sound.
Really cool video sir. I'm from the UK and always admired you pilots as I describe your job the best job on the planet. What you guys do is incredible nd it's so cool to see your layover life. Subscribed 👍

Paul this route is the reason we are loyal to united despite living nearest PHL (that and the EWR UClub) my family pingpongs between HNL and EWR 3-4 times per year and i HOPE you are our captian next time! Thanks for the great videos especially this one. Our home for the past 12 years has been Oahu but we are on the east coast taking care or an aging family member for a lot of the year. Its great to watch this and see the beach party at dukes LOL. We all laugh when you say you woke up before the sunrise ...like you had a choice! Message me if you ever want some awesome local North Shore things to do.

Merry Christmas! Thank you for another great video.
Just discovered your channel and perfect first watch.

Hi. Am a subscriber, also live in MSP. You and your videos really inspire me and touch my heart and soul. I love to fly. Thank you for sharing your passion. Happy flying and safe travels. Scott in Burnsville.
Just plain AWESOME😱
Paul this route is the reason we are loyal to united despite living nearest PHL (that and the EWR UClub) my family pingpongs between HNL and EWR 3-4 times per year and i HOPE you are our captian next time! Thanks for the great videos especially this one. Our home for the past 12 years has been Oahu but we are on the east coast taking care or an aging family member for a lot of the year. Its great to watch this and see the beach party at dukes LOL. We all laugh when you say you woke up before the sunrise ...like you had a choice! Message me if you ever want some awesome local North Shore things to do.
Ugh this aged well. United dropped this awesome direct flight from the East Coast to HNL :( Now I need to fly HA from JFK which is a nightmare.
