Great minds think alike! I Christmas shop all year long as well. Even if I'm just pinning ideas on my Pinterest board, I'm planning so that I don't OVERSPEND. I'm a gift giver, so I can get carried away very easily, very quickly if I don't have a plan going into the season. I cannot wait for you planner video! Have a wonderful day Tracy!

I started Christmas shopping in August. Knowing ahead of time what everyone likes makes it easy and fun.
I host Christmas every year for 30 to 35 people. Planning is key.
Our tradition. .. Christmas decor comes out the Friday after Thanksgiving. The whole house is transformed and a big family dinner that night with Thanksgiving left overs. Lol

Preplanning ahead of time is a must. People are always impressed when I am not stressed in December.
Just this past week I put together my Christmas planner. My planner always begins the first week of October with the hope of being done by the first week of December so I can celebrate the rest of the month. I have done this since 2004 and it has made the whole season so much more enjoyable and stress free.
I love to plan early for Christmas as well. I already bought some gifts and people keep making fun of me for it. But they are the ones frantically searching for gifts right before Christmas when I can lean back and enjoy the season.

I am so excited about the planner! This is why I continue to watch your content. I have always tried to plan ahead and done pretty decent at it, this year I jumped ahead even more than usual. I scrapbook our December, so I am getting pages set-up, collecting recipes, buying things for my mantel (which was neglected last year), and I have already purchased our new calendars that I do every season for the girls- they love them! So I'm feeling like I'm on my A game at this point! Looking forward to the pages in your planner and re-watching your gift idea segment again! Thanks, Robbie
I love this video!! It's never too early to start planning for Christmas! Hubby and I bought another Christmas tree yesterday! I even start decorating Nov 1 so I can enjoy all the twinkly lights, sights and sounds of Christmas. Can't wait for the next video!

My husband and I begin gift shopping in early November so we avoid the crowds and last-minute gift-buying.
I don't like to be a scatter-brain during this wonderful season, this way, we can truly enjoy the festivities to the max.

Love your channel Tracy! You are so right about starting our Christmas planning well in advance. We also have 5 children, their 5 spouses and 16 grandchildren! Although we no longer give as much for adults in our family we give something to everyone. Even if it's small or a joke gift. And my husband and I still host both Thanksgiving and Christmas here in our big house. Lots of help required but we make everything we do a special event, from cookie making to wrapping gifts and even a contest of making our gingerbread houses. Lots of Christmas music going in the background and little ones all settled watching Christmas movies. Believe me it's not always perfect and it does take lots of planning so as to enjoy it all. Also lots of blooper memories! 😁 Thank you for starting your series early. I'm really looking forward to hearing all your great recommendations and seeing how your planner comes together. ENJOY!

Tracy, I saw this video the minute it came out last year. It feels as if Christmas is so far, yet so close. Call me crazy it’s almost mid-August, but my family and I have already started planning for Christmas. All of the traveling, parties, decorating, and purchases are so stressful! Every year I would wonder why my mom looked so stressed, now that I’m a little older I finally understand why. I also bought the planner and it is divine! Hope you have a wonderful week! While I don't have many people to buy for, I start planning in January for that year's xmas! I put aside a certain amount of money into a separate bank account specifically for holiday spending; and, I also buy presents and store them like your mother did. You are right in that if you wait until December to 'plan' for the holidays, you can't enjoy it because you're so frazzled.

Tracy, I have never planned this far ahead. In fact, I have never planned Christmas. My family did not plan growing up and I tried when I was first married and when my children came along, but the boys showed no interest so I gave up. This is the last Christmas that I will have my entire family home (Oldest is going off to medical school and youngest will leave for college next fall). I would really like to have a Christmas that is beautiful, hassle free and memorable. I want it to be about family and the reason for the season! I would love to win your organizational binder. If I don't win (and even if I do), you KNOW I am going to be waiting for all of your insightful videos to plan a Christmas that I am proud of. Never too early to plan for Christmas!
I need to have yet another "Thank you, Tracy!" moment. I saw this video when it came out, and it's been in my mind since, this idea of planning ahead that I've never considered before! So today my partner was using my laptop, and I had a technology free afternoon. What to do? I saw the local mall had discounts with my bank, I went back to the list of gifts to get and saw I could get most of them there, and so I went! Here I am now, with two birthday presents for bdays coming up, and 3 Christmas presents all ready to go! 5 presents that would have taken 5 outings and last minute shopping sttess, but now I have them at home, got a discount AND I got them before the stores bump prices up for the Holidays (it's very common where I live). Thank you Tracy for all the wonderful content you create, and advice you give! -Connie

You are right on. I love the differentiation between prepping and celebrating. There is a whole movement online called "Done By December One". If you get it all done by Dec 1st you really do enjoy the season much more😀. It's hard to do but not impossible if you start now! Love all your videos!!

My husband and I cracked up at the beginning of this video because you must be my long lost fairy godmother lol. I plan wayyy in advance and get picked on for it. But I firmly believe that I get the most out of my Christmas season. I get to do everything I want stress free; I always have time for baking, and I always have the perfect gift. I'm so excited to see the planner! It's been a few years since I used one because mine was very budget-focused being that we were newlyweds with big families (nieces & nephews) we wanted to spoil. My budget isn't so stringent now so I've relaxed. I love planning though so I can't wait! Keep up the good work ❤️❤️❤️

No you are not nuts! Thank you so much for videos like this. I started budgeting Oct 2016. Its a refresher of what we all have to do, know we have to do, but simply forget. Then we run around stressed or like chickens without a head. Thank you very much!
i start in January at the sales. Then I plan menu's, gifts, etc. beginning after Labor Day. I'm a Christmasaholic. Though I know that Jesus was likely born in mid -September, I love the whole season SO MUCH!!!

Hi Heather! Thank you! In this video, my hair was 4 days dirty and I just blew it out with a Big Round Brush ... section by section. I will have a video coming out at the end of the month on my color, cut and style.
Oh I sooo need this video series. I am a procrastinator. I love decorating d baking but I wait till the last minute to prepare. I don't know why because it drives me crazy. I need to get organized in my life and in my house.

Ugh! I could use this! I have five kids as well (blended family), and I'd really like to get organized and enjoy the holiday the way it was meant to be enjoyed. With two new families to blend, we have new traditions to incorporate and new extended family to include. Last year was sooo stressful but I did my best to not let it show. I want to make each memory magical and not be overwhelmed myself. I cant wait to hear your ideas. Great idea!
I've noticed most women plan the gift giving ahead vs. men. Males that do are a rare breed. Planning leaves more time to spend with family. That is what that time of year is all about.

My family have agreed on not exchanging gifts anymore. Instead we all donate to a charity of choice. We're all so happy about it.

Here in Australia our summer vacation begin dec 1st, so I start teaching my students about Christmas now, or they may never get the chance to learn about the events of Jesus birth. God started planning thousands of years in advance, so a couple of months head start is nothing👍🏻 I'm looking forward to hearing more about your planner🤗

As busy as the holidays are, and as fast as the time goes by, it really does take A LOT of detail to make it all work. I am SO EXCITED about watching and learning from the Christmas series, of your videos. I am VERY INTERESTED in seeing just exactly how you plan for YOUR Christmas. Because you have EXCELLENT ideas and organizational skills, I look forward to learning some new things and ways that I can improve, in what I do. After watching your video, I'm almost embarrassed to say that I start my Christmas decorating, the day after Thanksgiving. Such a great idea!! We are trying something different this year! Because my husband works nights and his work schedule gets kind of crazy from Thanksgiving until the new year and our children are all grown with families, in laws and work schedules of their own, we decided to do a Thanksgiving/Christmas combo the weekend before Thanksgiving (I will do the decorating the week prior)! We take each of the 5 grandchildren for dinner and gift getting for their birthdays through the year, so we go smaller for Christmas and this ways its not such dent in the wallet at all at once ( we just started this at the beginning of the year also), our children and their spouses get a date nite voucher (the kids stay all night with Nana) and a restaurant gift card as their Christmas gift. We live in the mid west and the weather doesnt always cooperate the closer to Christmas we get so Im hoping this takes some of the stress off the holiday season. Some other family member (usually my mom or her sister) typically has some sort of celebration during the season and having ours early opens up the schedule so there arent so many different places we have to get to doesnt get in the way of spending time with the extended families. Keeping my fingers crossed! Sorry so lengthy!

YES & AMEN Tracy! I think about and shop for Christmas all year long. As I see things throughout the year when I'm shopping either in-store or online, I am buying gifts for my family, and tucking them away for Christmas. It helps me to have all my shopping done by Nov. 1st. that way I can focus on celebrating, and decorating for Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
