Well AKSHUALLY most Canadians sound more like Cristine or Ben, Matt’s accent is basically our southern accent; it’s a stereotype that’s not *untrue* exactly but it’s usually exaggerated for comedy’s sake. In my experience people under 40 almost never have that stronger accent unless they’re playing it up because of a “small town” identity (ie a big part of the way they view themselves is their rural background). My grandpa sounds like that, my cousin that lives and breathes camo and John Deere sounds like that, but I don’t.
