I have ordered Thimson H4 12v 40a wiring harness for Auxbeam 72w 12" LED Fog lights (bar) for my bike. I don't know how to wire external switch in the harness like you made your own. Please help.

Hi Bro, To be honest, this video was crystal clear on installation. However, I have few questions about Fog light Installation and hoping for your guidance on this.
I have Fz25, I have already had Fog lamps installed on my bike not sure about the Watts possibly 20 or 30 Watts each now I got another set of 20 W lights each. I wanted to understand if we can install 4 pieces of light on the Bike.
Summary:
30W*2= 60W
20W*2= 40W
Will Relay help in this case?
Or if already installed lights is 20 W each is it fine with below:
20W*2= 40W
20W*2= 40W

From 12v switch which colour (red or black) wire u given to ignition plug? Else it work on reverse way

Hi I have problem whit my fog lights the switch turn on and the lights not I have a red wiring on the battery whit fuse and other wiring orange this one I check on the relay is don't have power when I turn on what you thing the bulbs all ok thank you very much
The question is not clear, couldn't understand your problem, keep relay's orientation exactly as shown in the video or else it would not work. Relay will work only if it is provided with 12 volt power in to the correct pins.

nice installation video!I have the same fog lights installed on my motorcycle but opening the ignition one or two bulbs blinking without turning the switch light on!sometimes all of the six little led bulbs glow a little when I turn the ignition on.
Turning on the switch light all the the six chip lights perform normally.Is there a possibility to know what is happening?
Might be some issue with the switch, a very small amount of current is passing through the switch while in 'off' position, inspect the switch's continuity with the help of a multimeter, there should be no continuity in 'off' position.
Sir can i ask how did you put the switch on the relay? Why do you need to put the accesory switch wire to the ignition wire? Thanks
I wanted to turn on fog lights only when my motorcycle is in ignition position to avoid misuse of fog light by anyone.
If I connected the switch directly to battery then anyone could turn on the light at any time and that could discharge the battery.
Relay connection are clearly shown in the diagram at 05:14 please refer to that diagram. Do not alter the relay pin orientation at the time of connection.
I connected the same way you did but the fog light won't o glow until engine runs and flickering after engine starts and relay also makes flicker sound why what I done anything wrong reply
I think the probkem is happening due to loose connection, tighten every connection point especially battery and ignition point.

What if we connect negative directly to metal part of bike? I have seen some videos which suggest to connect negative wire of fog lamps to metal part of bike. Does such setting make any problem?
That will work also. We didn't use that method because of aesthetic purposes.

Si no tiene protector de piernas en su motocicleta, entonces puede instalarlo en su manillar usando soportes, pero primero le recomendaría que verifique las leyes locales si este tipo de modificación es permisible o no.

yes you can, but then you need to turn on your fog lights whenever you want to use charger or monitor voltage reading.

1.battery + and battery - are both going to the relay right. Then the switch handlebar mount from ignition is it carrying ignition positive again? Can u explain a bit.
The switch is for turning on/off the relay.

The fog lights are powered from the battery. A simple switch circuit can be turned on by anyone at anytime. I wanted to run the fog lights from ignition, so that it can only be turned while the key is in ignition position. But in that case the full load of the fog lights will be on the ignition wire, which can damage the wiring harness in long run.
Relay takes a nominal amount of current from ignition when the switch is turned on and allows the battery power to flow to the fog lights.
The positive wire which is going from the battery positive to relay is for turning on the fog lights when the relay is powered on by the ignition switch.

Fuse maine 7amp ka lagaya tha, aur agar relay dikhne me same hua toh use aap laga sakte ho.
Relay is for not draining battery I think .all and all great video man .
A relay is used so your not putting high amperage through a switch. Think about about a car stereo or high wattage LED bar. Lets say you're going to have a 30 amp draw, you put in a 30 amp fuse, but how many 30 switches can handle 30 amps... the switch would melt before the fuse. A relay is a switch the uses a very low voltage signal to activate. So the switch you press does turn on the lights,.. its turns the switch on in the relay which in turn turns on the lights.
Oh just thought of this use,.. lets say you don't have one really big draw like a car amp, but lets say you have a couple of smaller draws that collectively are a lot. So for example is you wanted to have one switch to turn of a couple of 4 small fog for a close spread of light and a couple of 25 degree spot lights for far. If you put any one of these lights on one switch, you (might) be fine, but you'd need 6 switches, which would be a real pain to use. Or you use one regular low voltage switch that turn on the relay (switch) that handles all of them at once.

Excellent video though I'm visiting late :) I have a serious question. My battery is 12V 6Amp and it powers all factory default electronics. I have bought a fog lamp 40W each, so 80W total. So these fog lamps need 6Amp from battery, correct? Even if I use a relay of 30A/40A, will this existing 6Amp battery manage to power the 80W fog lamps without damaging any electricals on the bike? Bike is new and if I burn anything, warranty expires. That's why I'm scared to touch any wiring. Expecting your reply. Thanks again for this wonderful video!
If your bike is in warranty then we would not recommend installing fog lights because this will void your warranty.
Yes the connection is directly from battery but the battery will discharge only if you turn on your foglight without starting your bike.
After ignition alternator generates power which then get rectified via regulator rectifier and then charges your battery and also provides power to other accessories.
We have installed fog lights(18*2=36watt) on our Yamaha ss125(5amp battery) and hero super (2.5 amp battery) splendor and till date we haven't faced any electrical problems.
If an extra 80 watts of load is beyond your motorcycle's charging system's capacity then you would eventually get to know it, you battery would not charge properly, you will face starting issues, horn wouldn't sound loud etc.
So please wait until your warranty period is over and then proceed.

+Naren Rajendran without relay full load of fog light will be on ignition wire and that can overheat the ignition wire in long run.

Relay ke sath connection hota toh ignition wire overheat hoke jalne ka khatra nahi rehta, but kyuki apne fog lights already install kar liya hain toh lights ka use one stretch me jyada der mat kijiyega jisse ki wire overheat na ho paye.

Ignition ke sath lagaya toh bike on karne pe hi charger on hoga aur direct battery se lagaya toh bike off rehne pe bhi charger on rahega.
Mobile charger bohot kam current draw karta hain is liye usme relay lagana zarori nahi hain.

Hi I had a question, I own RE Himalayan and am trying to install 2 different types of for lamp, one projector and one flood, to install two, should I get two different relay and wire them together or one would do the job?

You don't have to use 2 different relay for 2 different types of fog lamp as long as the total amp is not exceeding the rated amp of relay.

If you have 1 set(2) of fog light then 10 amp relay and fuse will be more than enough.

Great video....I am going to install the fog light...bro do I need separate relay for installing mobile charger or can I use one relay for both fog light and mobile charger...
If you put both of them on the same relay then you need to turn on the lights everytime you want to charge your mobile.
Or else you can directly hook up the charger with ignition, but it is not recommended if you are drawing more than 1 amp current.
If you have space left, you can always add a separate relay for the charging circuit.
Thanks dude for your reply..I came up with a solution I connected connector pin for both ...so when I don't need my fog light I just need to disconnect the connection which I placed below pillion seat...plug and play kind of switch....
Just make sure to insulate the live connector properly and don't let the connector touch bare metal after disconnecting which will result in short circuit.

Fog light ba jekono 12 volt device diye check kora jete pare, negative wire body te ar positive ignition e dile device on hoye jabe, ebhabe ignition line bar kora jete pare.

You can connect negative to body, it will also work.

The easiest solution is to replace your battery, if your battery is more than 3 yrs old.
If problem persists (very rare) then check bike's charging system(take professional help).
As i told you earlier, I was facing the same problem, tried several things but none worked. At last I decided to change the battery and since then i rarely faced any problem.

Zyada amperage rating hone se fark nahi padta but 5 amp se kam mat lena.
