  • I only want to put a single electrical accessory on my bike so I don't need to go to the expense of a power distribution module but I do want a system that is only live on ignition and segregated from the rest of the bikes electrics. A relay for less than €10, an inline fuse and a bit of homework was all that was required. My chosen accessory was a pair of bullet LED's but it could of been anything.

Excellent vid... well presented and easy to follow. I do like those bikeVis bullets with the modulator. I might just swop out my antique spots.... that I never use... these look the job in terms of being noticed.

Cheers Brían, convinced these things work. Leave your fogs on and let these compliment them. A set would look well on the W800 too.

    Louder recording would be great.

    Thank you for that.
I shall probably put this on my Honda Monkey for USB charging for GoPro and Mobile Phone.
I suspect there will be an accessory port in the headlight also.

I think, you have slightly overengineered the solution. CB1100 has two ports for accessaries, one is under the seat another one is inside the headlight.
You only need to buy a Sumitomo HM .090 accessory connector.

I did mention there is an accessory port in the headlight and that it wasn’t strictly necessary for my light load but would be more useful for the likes of heated clothing etc.

Shame the brackets aren't smaller, they don't seem to look as thought there for the lights.Great vid BTW

No, they are not designed for those lights. They are for the larger auxiliary lights which was the reason I had to drill them. They are OK but I wouldn’t of minded something a little less chunky. Cheers.

I don't know why u don't find a hot wire off a fuse fed from the ignition switch. I have a
MotoHorn, quite loud and it uses a relay as the compressor uses more current than
my stock horn, but a relay for just lites? and LED's using much less current for lots more
    brightness.

I could of done that yes. My hot wire could of directly powered the LED's I was using but I decided to use that hot wire to trigger the relay allowing me to use any current I liked on that circuit. The relay was peanuts in the grand scheme of things.

    Could "of"?

Those gripping brackets you are using for the LEDs don't look nice on the chrome bars and spoil the look of the motorbike.
