I grew up in Atlanta; I now live in NC. I LOVE the CAROLINAS! Atlanta became too cramped and chaotic, too materialistic and superficial. Theres more to do in ATL but if you're a homebody like me, you don't need it. I love the quiet, down-to-earth feel of Carolina life. Most people are friendly and easygoing. There is an ease to life here and less pressure to compare what you have to others. It's not about keeping up with the Joneses because the Jones don't care. We all just in our flip flops, enjoying the sun, ocean and mountains.
I just had to comment to tell you how helpful your videos have been. Me and my family are in the process of moving to NC and because of your videos Raleigh is #1 on my list. Thank you!
This is an amazing video. I've lived in Atlanta for a long time and I am ready to relocate to North Carolina. Atlanta has too many people and the crime is bad. Atlanta was the place to be back in the 1990's .Raleigh may be the place for me but the city of Charlotte has also gotten my attention.
I currently live in New York City and I lived in Atlanta suburbs for close to 20 years. Atlanta does not compare in any way shape or form to NYC, New York City is dense, with people from around the world, (that part I appreciate) but with small over priced apartments, however, a great rail system. Honestly, I will be visiting Raleigh this summer because I am consider moving there in 2024. I can't wait to experience the peace and quietness, basically a healthy quality of life. Why am I not moving back to Atlanta, because I lived there and the traffic is horrendous. I'm looking for a new experience. Ellen, I love your videos, they are quirky and upbeat. Keep them coming:)))
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate the compliment 😃 And feel free to reach out to me when you’re in town! My team would be glad to put together a tour for you to help you get your bearings. :)
I rather invest in Raleigh. By 2030 Raleigh metro is expected to grow to +3.5 million. Once a metro reaches over 3 million the amenities is not much didn't from a city with that has 8 million metro residents. Atlanta is one big suburb. Plus there is just more room to grow in NC.
I discovered your channel today, and is amazing, I would love to hear about Garner, I live in Austin and considering to go back to NC, I lived 2 years in Cary but considering others areas to come back.
I love your channel and your videos are always so well written. But your mic audio is always peaking and distorted. A few little adjustments to your recording setup will make a huge difference. Keep up the great content.
Atlanta is a small town just with a large metro area population the city itself is only 132 square miles the towns around it are not Atlanta there part of the state of Georgia even tho they are close to the city with some only being 20-30-40 minutes north or south , East, or west I personally like North Carolina better than Georgia any day of the week For many serious reasons Atlanta has become so overpopulated and ghetto and too popular the housing is not a bang for your buck especially if you’re poor like myself and the people are extremely rude violent and disgusting pretty much just like the rest of Georgia and the politicians and police are also disgusting everybody in Atlanta think they are something and better than the rest of the country which Atlanta has a very long way to go still also the traffic is a nightmare from hell pretty much all across the metro area it doesn’t matter what time of day or nothing it’s bad cost of living here is ridiculous nothing in Atlanta is affordable or Georgia period I’ve lived all over and the inflation hit Atlanta the hardest in the state the job market is okay you need a 4 year degree or need to know someone to get a great job in one of the cities Fortune 500 companies or any job here it’s all about who you know in Atlanta but North Carolina on the other hand beats Atlanta and Georgia period in both cost of living and job opportunities I can finally say that proudly I’ve been to both places and currently live in Atlanta area soon I will be relocating to chapel hill for college or Charlotte I know I’ve said a mouth full some of you may think I don’t make sense or whatever but that’s some of not all of what I think about metro Atlanta or Georgia but bottom line the triangle wins hands down 💪🏻please please don’t come to Georgia I know from experience even with me being so young and from my childhood in Georgia with the education system here which also sucks if you’re someone with a learning disability or something or if you have kids don’t and I repeat don’t come to Georgia pick North Carolina or Tennessee or Virginia or something it’s just too overrated here I’m so tired of it really but it’s all up to what you people want I can’t control nothing my opinion doesn’t matter but I know for myself I would choose Charlotte or Raleigh over Atlanta due to lower crime rates better school systems and more affordable housing and friendlier people please take a pass on Georgia been here 20 years

How do you like it after living here for a while now?

Entertaining video. I lived in Atlanta for a while and will take the Triangle any day.
SAME!! I try to avoid Atlanta when possible. Way too big and way too much traffic!

Garner is a nice area. There are some nice subdivisions homes are affordable compared to Cary.
Also so glad you love the channel!! 💕

Thanks for the feedback!! I will look into it. 😁
Raliegh Just need to get a bigger skyline thats all and a light rail train
People are fighting that bigger skyline!!
Atlanta works for me.
Tell me what you like about it!
@@EllenPitts Strong economy and tons of leisure activities to do.
Do Columbia South Carolina versus Raleigh North Carolina
I was thinking about doing something about Columbia. I’ll see what I can come up with!
@@EllenPitts yes I'd love to see that one
I love your videos. You are just too cute! 😄
Aw, thanks!! 😁😁😁
Who in their right minds compare Raleigh to Atlanta. Atlanta is out of Raleighs league and Raleigh is not in Charlotte's league either
It's over for Atlanta. They're wack now lol

People who don’t know much about either one need information obviously
Raleigh is 10x better than Atlanta! Fact
Lol! Love it!
That woman needs to shut up and got skyscrapers so it is a city. I prefer Raleigh North Carolina to Atlanta Georgia
Some people are just never happy! :)
