I just bought a 21 Vulcan 900 with 5 miles on it and I'm having a blast getting back into riding motorcycles again. That candy orange has drawn SO many compliments from Coworkers and friends. Its a fantastic bike with amazing handling and plenty of power.
Picked mine up 3 days ago w/ 9 miles. I just love the orange. What you pay OTD?
@@iuyozx About 10500 or so
I've got the same bike. Bought it a year ago. Was not a huge fan of the colour but love it now and I get ao many people commenting on it. Just bought some new pipes for it!!
@@danst35 what pipes did you go with? I have a set of Vance & Hines sitting in my garage that I ordered, but now I'm afraid to put them on because I've read that they are deafeningly loud. I just wanted something deeper than the factory go kart sound.
@@Pepsiaddicto I went the Vance & Hinze. Awesome sound but yes they are loud. You can get baffles for them if you find it to Loud , highly recommend them
This is the build video I've been looking for - no commentary, no "uhmmm, uhhhhhh", no swallowing the mic, just good camera angles showing what was done to build the bike.
10/10.
I have one ( 2009) They haven't changed the style or mechanics. Its such a sweet design and these bikes are soo much fun to ride.Watching the assembly was addictive.Couldnt look away lol
Glad you liked it Marc!
I have a 2009 as well, I might be biased but I prefer the Vulcan badge on the older models compared to the rather bland sticker on this model. I do like the Orange though!
Very much agree with you on the badge.
I worked for a Harley dealer in sales and I enjoyed so much helping put together bikes when it was slow. I’d think about how much fun the owner would have. That’s a nice bike indeed. Beautiful color.
It's a great looking bike and the video doesn't do the color justice! Just wish it had a bit more power. Merry Christmas PNW! -Tripp
Having that colour makes you stand out and all your mates will know where you've been. Interesting to watch and no doubt the guy who put it together was a bit more advanced than just reading the assembly instructions
Damn! I love that colour! Looks so good!
Cool I worked part time assembling Honda’s in the early 1970’s when I was in high school. This looks a lot easier. We had to connect all the wiri behind the headlight. No power tools took about 2 hours to assemble a 750.
I've never gotten to see the entire set up from crate before. Pretty cool to see it come to life.
I own 2 Honda’s & a Harley but , I gotta say I’ve always really liked the Vulcan . You can’t go wrong with Kawasaki 👍🏼
Ahhh...makes me feel alive!!!❤️❤️❤️
46 years in this industry and I can tell you 98 percent of the shops I worked in did this exactly like the video, and it is correctly done. A few things weren't shown, certainly done however. Liquid levels, battery prep, tire pressures, brake disc wipe, controls check, idle check, lights, etc. I'm amazed that judging by the comments so many people did not realize bikes came not fully assembled. Take note of the clutch lever adjustment. It is correct, yet many will allow it later to get much looser and think it is normal. I run my own shop today and have a heck of a time getting customers to adjust their clutches correctly. Someone mentioned thread locker. That stuff isn't used in Japanese shops. No need for it.
I'm surprised that no torque wrenches were applied to the axle nuts, but otherwise your assessment seems spot on.
@@gregsteiner407 do you think it was done later (off camera?) I don’t know much about torque wrenches except the concept. Is it something you can walk around with later for the final turn? Fun watching this bike take shape! This is my dream bike.
@@just-dl torque wrenches are used to place a specific load on the fastener in compliance with manufacturer specs. Normally it’s done right away. You could do it later, but all techs know it needs to happen.
@@gregsteiner407 thanks. that makes sense. for making a quick video, I could see "doing it later." But, I'd think it would be faster, overall, to do it all at once.
This is a great vid on how to put it together. Nicely done, easy to watch. And no incessant talk about how great you are. We can see how good you are. Keep up the good work!
Thanks much for your kind words 962momo! Ride safe and hope you subscribe. -Tripp
Uauu I Had a Kawazaki Vulcan but not a Custom. This VULCAN is WONDERFUL . I RECOMEND
Hypnotic and calming.
This is what my Christmas morning should look like
👍🏻Loved the video so much, I was drooling! I could stare at it all day long! Thank you!
Thanks KierOg and glad you liked it. Happy holidays bud!
Great video Tripp, not a wasted word. This was a pleasure to watch, other similar channels talk nonstop even when it is not needed. This video proves you don’t need to crap on. Only speak when necessary. Love your effort!
Thanks Rowan! Hope all is well for you down under. Ride safe my friend!
I worked for a Kawi dealer in 1977 doing this same thing, uncrating and assembling. Back then the bikes were much more complete. I remember having to install front wheels, attaching the handlebars, taillight, adding oil and charging the battery. Not much else needed to be done. Crates were not metal.
My daughter just bought this exact model & colour Xmas Eve. Can’t take the smile off her face.
That’s because she bought a great bike! Tell her Tripp said congrats and he hopes that both she and her father will subscribe! Happy holidays! -Tripp

Hello dear friend. Please tell your daughter that I congratulate her from the bottom of my heart on this purchase. I have been riding Vulkan900 for two years and I still like this bike. Greetings to you from distant snowy Russia. :-)

Amazing!
I'm watching from Brazil.
Al igual que en el vídeo de Kawasaki vulcan s. Un verdadero gusto ver al especialista armar está nueva moto. Muy bien vendida. Es realmente hermosa la moto.
I wish Michigan had schools for students who want to learn how to build and repair motorcycles.
Awesome stuff man
Thanks George!

Beautiful bike. Like that pinstripe on the wheels.
The pinstripe is a Kawasaki signature mark. I love it too, it's on my Vulcan S as well. Happy new year and hope you subscribe Dwayne! -Tripp

Orange 🤩

Nice looking cruiser.
I enjoyed this video too! I’ve never considered how much packaging is used to deliver a shiny new bike. An eye opener!
Nice beautiful
J’aime bien 👍
Nice video, it has an asmr quality to it.
Wasn't a big fan of the orange color til now...it's pretty sexy. Would've loved to see the first startup, but still cool that y'all filmed the whole assembly process. I had a 2009 Vulcan 900 custom SE...I swapped out the exhaust for the Cobra Swept pipes when they finally released them in black and boy let me tell you....that brought that bike ALIVE! Transformed it from sounding like a 900 cc moped to sounding like a demon!!! Had the for four years, then sold it to buddy, who treated her very well. I miss that bike. This reminds of her (obviously). For the price, these Vulcans are pretty sweet!
Super 👍
Strangely addictive video that I couldn’t turn away from. Would’ve liked to hear it start up. The guy was very well organized and knew exactly what to do 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Yes I was thinking the same thing.Hearing the nice rumble of that 903cc motor should have been the pay off !

Very beautiful bike, I’ll get one soon.
Congrats in advance Eli! Very reliable and quality bike that's for sure. Thanks for your comment, happy holidays and hope you subscribe! -Tripp
Fun watching the assembly, like Legos for adults! Like that color combo too. Have any test ride videos for the Vulcan custom? Curious as to how one sounds and so on. Happy holidays Tripp!
Thanks and happy holidays to you Nick! It's tough to get test rides on brand new bikes. Miles on the odo tend to devaluate things. :(
@Nick. Check the Kawasaki website to see when/if they might be holding a “ticket to ride” event in your area.
At these events they will have a few (not all) current models like the KLR’s, Ninja’s, Z900’s, Vulcan S.
The website will detail what’s required to ride.
Cheers!

That looks like a lot of fun.
The assembling or the filming? 🙂
@@trippontwowheels The assembling
Really nice looking bikes. Nice to see how they come from the factory. Funny how service manuals say each nut and bolt has to be set at certain torque values yet it is assembled using air and electric tools.
Yes, like you, I found that to be a bit odd. Where are you from exexpat? Thanks for your comment, happy holidays, and hope you subscribe! -Tripp
@@trippontwowheels I am in Washington State currently. I was in the Merchant Marine and have lived all over the World.
Outstanding! This is enjoyable and interesting to watch. I rode 1500-1600 Vulcans for nearly 21-yrs...if the new ones are as robustly made with reliability built-in as the older ones (Y2k decade) then it’s a wrap. I would love to afford one of these. Thanks for sharing a great video. Peace.
They have been virtually unchanged since 2007. Low mileage used bikes are out there for $3000-$3500. Reliable as hell. Good luck! Thanks for your comment PowerForward, happy new year and hope you subscribe! -Tripp

Man, this is almost ASMR lol
Great video. I worked as a salesman for a powersports dealership in Indiana, constantly had to shine the bikes up. I love the vulcan custom but the bars would have to be changed for my 6'3 frame to fit on it
Thanks Paul, I really appreciate it. What do you ride currently? Thanks for your comment, ride safe and hope you subscribe! -Tripp
When I picked up my K-0 at the freight dock, the beast looked like a caged animal in it's wooden crate. The Candy Gold tank gave away the obvious, with the four chrome pipes stating the obvious. Assembling and starting my bike for the first time was magical. Thanks for reminding me of a much simpler time, sir.
Thanks for your kind words Dick! Glad I could take you back a bit. Do you still ride? Be safe and hope you subscribe! -Tripp
@@trippontwowheels Yes sir, on all counts. The latest freeloader in the shop is my younger-middle ( one of the "Moron Twins") grandson's 1200 Sporty. Since it is in the front of the shop, I use it to buzz into town which is 20 miles from our ranch. Then there's his KX-450-F, my CR250R, his little brother's CR125, great-grandson's KX-65, an XR-100R to put around on. My '84 FXRT-P (ex-cop scooter with unknown miles, and my 173,000 mile '87 BMW R-80-RT.
(Then there's the project bikes). I have to live to 103 to get all of them done.
awesome
