A few months ago I would've agreed with you on the Studio, there simply was not something better for productivity on a Mac. However, LG dropped their 32" 4k OLED recently with an improved pixel substructure that fixes text clarity issues on previous OLEDs. That monitor has a non-gamery design and has the matte coating that I assume you prefer, it also has very good speakers (I assume just as good as the studio display) although it doesn't have the USB hub of other alternatives, you'll have to buy that separately and hide it under the desk. Oh and the 240hz OLED panel is a joy to use for content consumption, it's leagues better than the Apple Studio.
I think the main thing is the 5K (and colour accuracy) - allowing for macOS to do a clean doubling of its 1440p UI rather than produce a 5K image that is downscaled to 4K.
@@Peahnuts understandable. For the color accuracy most of these new OLEDs have an sRGB (as accurate as the studio) and an Adobe RGB mode (which is better than the studio for those that need to work with HDR). As for the resolution, yes, I'm aware double the native resolution is best for Mac scaling, but the contrast and color pop of OLEDs give the illusion of better resolution, and it's not like 4k at 32" isn't sharp even at macOS basic scaling. Furthermore when using his PC the scaling is a non issue.
