Helpful!! I like the model 3 sunshade roof.🥰
Hi, I enjoyed your video very much. Well done! One question though: in the video you were able to drive home with a nail in the tire thanks to the portable air pump. When you got home you called a tow truck to take your car somewhere to fix the tire.
Was the car taken to Tesla dealer? Couldn't you just take it to a tire shop or any mechanic garage nearby instead of driving home? Since you were home could you not remove the tire yourself and take it to a repair shop?
Sorry, that was more than one question, but your video surprised me because I didn't know the Model 3 didn't come with a spare. Now I'm wondering does it come with a jack or is there something preventing you from removing the tire from the wheel hub? I live near Toronto, so there are many tire shops and independent garages. I realize that may not be the case for you.
If the car doesn't come with a jack, and you don't own one, and you are usable to remove the tire yourself, then that would explain why it would need to be towed for simply having a flat tire. If this is the case then I say shame on Tesla.
Again, my apologies for all the questions. I am interested in getting an EV and the Model 3 was on my list. Any clarification to my questions would be appreciated. Thanking you in advance 😊
AFAK, Teslas don't include spare tires or jacks. They even need specific pucks (see link: geni.us/5TkwyQ). However, they do sell flat tire kits - personally, I don't like them. I opted to go to Tesla directly because their tires are unique (they have foam inside), and I wasn't certain if regular tire shops would know how to handle them. Tesla offers free towing services. I requested one from the app. You don't have to worry about things like asking for a flat bed - they take care of these small things for you. Even with all that, I still recommend the car. I hope that helped.
Side note: If you are in the market for a new Tesla, don't forget to use a referral link.
