Now, let’s get into today's topic. Many of you might be wondering: what does a narcissist look like when you have become successful and unbothered after experiencing their abuse? I believe it’s important to address it. The truth is, the situation does not paint a pretty picture for the narcissist.
You see, a narcissist often underestimates your ability to escape their grasp. Their tactics, which include projection, blame shifting, and various forms of emotional abuse, are designed to keep you feeling small and powerless. They want you to feel as though you are at the bottom of a deep pit, looking up at the light. This is a deliberate strategy to maintain control over you, and it’s crucial to understand this dynamic.
When you become successful and genuinely unbothered by their actions, the narcissist’s reaction is typically one of resentment and anger. Imagine their face contorting in displeasure, as if they have been sucking on sour limes or bitter persimmons. It’s not a pretty sight. This reaction comes from a place of deep insecurity and jealousy. Narcissists thrive on control and manipulation, and when you break free from their influence, it disrupts the entire game they have set up for themselves.
Remember, they are playing a game, but it is one that ultimately backfires on them. As long as they can ensnare you in their web of deceit, they feel powerful and in control. However, once you take charge of your own life and start thriving, that is when the tables turn. They cannot handle the fact that you have moved on and are no longer affected by their toxic behavior.
