PyroShowManCZ my bike is stock apart from the giannelli and the pinion. have you got the "magic wire" behind the front mask securely attached to frame? make sure your jetting is right (in this video i have the stock jetting but now i have bigger jets and it's better). maybe it's just time to replace the piston or the piston rings

Valentin Lesage when i recorded this video my carburator was completely original. but now i have a bigger main jet (220 instead of 210), a bigger pilot jet (22.5 instead of 17.5) and the pin is in the lowest position (richest). you can run also with the original setting but it's better to modify the carb.

Nice topspeed for a 15 tooth, why so low gearing though? Doesnt accelerate faster from regular riding speeds, only easier standstill :) My 1991 DT does 122ish gps with L.A-Sleeves re-sleeved cylinder and everything de-restricted and 15tooth front (lazy to not change it). Its very low in power too, like 12seconds to 100 but it'll get there :D
StryHinja yes it is, it the perfect bike if you want more power than a 4 stroke but less manteinance and better consumption than a racing 2 stroke, obviusly it's not a race bike
Peter to ride It was something to do with Pollution it was with the government not wanting anymore twostroke bikes makeing anymore it was yamaha last chance to try and save the twostroke bikes that's why they put a emissions pipe on so it re burns the gases to cycle twice but it never work as the last production of the dtre and x model ended in 2007 that's why they had too make something to replace the dt125re & x and its called the wr125r& wr125x nice to looked at but no where as fast as the dt125r re & x

Paolo Ferla sul dt dietro la mascherina c'è un connettore in cui entrano 4 cavi e ne escono solo 3, devi collegare il cavo che non esce (verde-nero) al telaio della moto

The standard main jet in your carburetor from the factory is 240 and the older models had a 125 & 210 main jet and the yamaha tzr had a 180 main jet witch was a sports bike version nowadays. the sports bike version to the dtre/ & 125x is a derbi gpr sachs 2stroke and that as a 240 main jet same as the dt125re mx events in the video lads
Might of been change at some point peter to ride nice exhaust silencer and one question mate where does the emissions pipe lead too on the dtre i mean the thin silver pipe at the front it would of been on your old factory standard exhaust where does it lead too the air box or something mate
@@officialmysteriousrider6327 thanks! the tube that comes out from the pipe goes firstly into a one-direction valve and then the tube continues and it ends in the behind of the air box, the one-direction valve can make air passing from the air box to the exhaust but the smoke cannot pass from the exaust to the air box, i think it helps to burn the smoke in the pipe and make less pollution. while fitting the giannelli i just have stripped down the tube that goes from the pipe to the valve, the air can't enter into the valve so there is no problem about having too much air in the air filter (in this case there would be poor carburation).
Dude have you done something else on this bike? I also got a 0-100 on my channel with my disrestricted DT but its not that fast, maybe my carb is doesnt work this well

Because if its a small gearing the Bike ist fast at accelerating but Bad at topspeed and at a high gearing its the opposite... Maybe I am wrong But your dt is fast accelerating but also fast at topspeed so i think the Problem ist mit the gearing it Must be Something else. Thanks for writing
Rafael Rodrigues the electric starter is already by factory on the 2004 onwards bikes. the kick starter i have now ( not in this video yet) has been dismantled by an old engine from 1991
Rafael Rodrigues it's not possible unless you change the engine cases, yours doesn't have the hole for the starter motor. so i'd say it's not possible because you'll need also to modify your electrical sistem

I have the oil pump: oil is always getting into the combustion chamber in the right quantity even with the throttle closed. so I dont have to worry about engine braking

ChristianPfuscht what gearing have you got? 16 tooth or 15 tooth pinion? i have to admit there was a bit of wind that day, usually i do 7.9 - 8.0 secs

good evening, i rebuilded the top end only once. i have the oil pump set up as yamaha recommends for this bike.
please press the clutch down when slowing down on a 2 stroke... otherwise you are gonna fuck the cylinder and piston up
Krisu i have the oil pump so oil is always getting to the cylinder even if the throttle is closed. i can engine brake as much as i want
