dear whatever controls all this,
can we have this one back, please?
humbly,
rob
Doesn't seem like anything controls it. Take care of yourself, man.
rob duncan for real! 💔🙏🏻😓
rob duncan I couldn’t agree more. Genuinely
For sure!!
He's "alive in the super unknown"
I will miss this guy and his voice forever...
same!
no you wont eternal life is coming
I was lucky enough to photograph Soundgarden around 2012. I was standing right in front of Chris and decided to not take photos for Rusty Cage. I just wanted to take in this moment of Soundgarden performing one foot in front of me. It was unreal and something I will never forget.
I want him back. i don't want to live in a world without him. This is so unfair and so sad....
That's how I feel too, this no Chris Cornell world we live in now just sucks. I've never been so broken up about the death of someone I've never met. Zero chance of meeting him now. I didn't even say zero chance on purpose but I'm kind of glad it happened
Michael Blaine Don't be so selfish. Do you honestly believe you'd really met Chris Cornell if he didn't die? It's fucking killing me inside just because a wonderful man, is dead. I think the people who really knew him in real life are suffering more than us, were just his fans.
Me too.
right, but i cant explain this strong feeling i have. He was way more than just a rock star.
Mina Ermelyn all I want for my birthday is him to be back
He was so special and still is. love him so much! Miss him badly ☹ sweet angel of ours
I love both Audioslave and Soundgarden equally. Though they're different they're amazing on their own levels. Any thing Chris does I'm in
Temple of the dog
3:37 his smile breaks my heart, goodbye king cornell, i´ll carry you
yeah feel you, it's still so so so sad
His smile lights me up and breaks my heart at the same time. The world is a much emptier place without him.
so much more work, to do... which I couldn't seeing him doing what the fake press said....
Oh I know!
He wrote a lot of songs that had "no particular destination", as in writing just to write in the moment. Not for an album, not for a project, not for a label. Just truly creative in the moment. No pressure. THAT is probably why so many of his songs, especially these mentioned songs, and close friends' songs at the time, are so good and timeless. No pressure to be creative. Just true artistry for the sake of expression. That explains a lot to me on why he, Soundgarden, TOTD, and PJ (among others) were so great and have so many gems for us to listen to. A lot of this music was not forced. Thank goodness they did things their way and not the industry's way. Reminds me of how PJ put their very early work together, even w/o a band name yet..or the name "Mookie Blaylock" even lol. The best music from these bands came from a spring of pure creativity and was in the moment. The motive was art. The result was some of the best songs ever written possibly...
Who else just likes listening to this guy talk? :(
chris´s hair and beards are perfect !!!!!
Breaks my heart. He had so much more to give.
Rest in Peace Chris
Just a bunch of great people playing and learning together.
i love how down to earth he is and he is genuinely nice. like he is awesome. there’s to many words to describe you Chris. all of them are great. your music was my antidepressant in my suicidal times. along with the other grunge/90s alternative. “No one sings like you anymore.”
RIP CHRIS CORNELL
I think the reason "Temple.." still resonates with people is because, at first, we all heard that people from many Seattle bands were gonna be on it !
Then, after LISTENING to it... that mattered not.
It was the message of the music... and the camaraderie amongst all the artists that also sent a message itself of "togetherness" in what can be a cutthroat industry.
God I miss Chris Cornell a lot.
Temple of the Dog is one of my Favorite all time Albums. I lived in the Seattle area in 1992 I was shocked at the Media attention back then of the Music scene I was not part of that generation I was in my early 30's But I grew to love that music of that era. RIP Andrew Wood. A guy who was very well liked by his peers.
Seattle must have been so amazing when all these guys lived there
Missing this beautiful soul - it just does not get any easier - Makes me cry- God bless his family 💔
Chris was awsome in all those bands and in solo. They had great names (and it's rare) with significant and simple meaning (thanks to Chris) and amazing songs that sounded like no one else. I would love your input on the first video of my first album. It got the attention of one of my heroes Joe Bouchard (ex bass player founding members of BÖC) who is following us on Soundcloud but returns from people who likes same music is always the best. If you have just 3 minutes to listen and a bit more to comment, that would mean the world to me. Keep rockin' : ua-cam.com/video/Pu_p1wbaCa8/v-deo.html
damn Chris Cornell still looks really good
Agreed!!!
:(
Not anymore.
Always sexy AF *-*
Chris still looks good
Everything about this is beautiful & cool.
The way he talked about Andy Wood (5:03) is the way I feel and i'm sure many people feel about him. Such a huge loss for the music world!
God bless you, Chris. Sadly missed.

Love this guy, Chris Cornell is just Awesome!!!
Chris Cornell = Master of facial hair and eternal youth.
Everyone should listen to Temple of the Dog - Say Hello 2 Heaven it's a song in tribute to Andy Wood and Imo is one of the best songs ever.
Killing me softly with his song.
Strumming my pain with his fingers.
That Angel sang my life. I’ve never experienced anything like this. I’ve never been smitten by any popular person. And then Chris. The way Chris delivered his passion & genius went straight to my soul. Healed me mentally and spiritually. Friends don’t understand and that’s ok. I know there are thousands, even millions of others who feel just like I do.
He wasn’t just charismatic.
Chris had a soul that was able to reach so many. A rarity.
I have questions that will never have answers.
Chris is forever in my heart. I love him without ever personally knowing him or going to see him perform. God bless.
So impressive, Chris lives inside this interview.
beyond being such an amazing talent, he seemed like such a kind and genuine person. wish he was still here.
This is absolutely amazing! This discussion centers on the most important time for music and two of the periods most influential bands since the late 60's. I could listen to this interview all day long.
3:38 his smile i am not crying :( RIP my hero ♥️

This is what memories and recordings are for, we never really leave each other. Remember that.
RIP
his little smile at the end. i'm so sad. miss you everyday chris.
Such a loss of a beautiful soul ❤
This is what happens when stars grow up. He's still gorgeous and seems to be doing just fine...hell Jimmy is giving him some time. I was a huge Soundgarden fan still am, but times have changed and we've all grown older. For real....
I still rock the Temple of the Dog CD in the car.
Me too
I can Always count on FALLON to kick the week off with my al time fav CHRIS CORNELL...FALLONS taste for music is AWESOME and i so loved the mix of that bango and harmonica with Cornells voice..IT WAS MAGNIFICENT..Well done!!
footsteps b-side version is wicked good.
"I got scratches all over my arms!"
"One for each day since I fell apart"
If there’s anything you’d like to do.
Just let me continue to blame you.
I want to watch that performance over and over. It was AMAZING!
Chris's performance with the Avett Bros. was great! What a voice!
Such a truly special person. The loss of him is tremendous
I prefer Times of Trouble than Footsteps
me 2
I prefer footsteps because I think it's more heartbreaking and raw sounding but both are absolutely amazing
one of the greatest vocalist in rock music!!! really gonna miss Chris Cornell😥
Didn't get in on any of the Temple of the Dog shows from last year. Really regretting that now. Was able to see him twice on his Euphoria Mourning tour back in '99 - excellent shows \m/ He did "Fell On Black Days" ( just accompanying himself on electric guitar ) and they did "All Night Thing" as an encore, so I was fortunate to see him sing one TotD tune. Depressing when I dwell on his absence - most modern music being released these days seems like such utter shite compared to when Louder Than Love came out. Those songs he wrote for Andrew Wood, now people are singing & playing them for Cornell.
:-/
Monotremata "I never wanted to write these words down for you/With pages of phrases or things you'll never do...." 😭😭😭😭
I’ll never forget being in the very front for a CC show on the Euphoria Morning tour back in 2000. After playing Fell On Black Days, he came up and shook my hand. Beautiful.
As the movie PJ20 said at the beginning, most of the Seattle underground musicians are friends. I think Chris and Andy were roommate and they were introduced to each other by Stone. They go way back before PJ.
Chris is the all time best vocalist everrrrr period!
Just saw the show tnite with Chris Cornell, brought tears to my eyes.
Chris is awesome! On his own or in any band he's in.
How is it that get stuck here with all these assholes ..and the good people with pure hearts who love as we are supposed to do are gone ? ..Theirs no way I can validate it . Life is not fair period. We miss you so much .Chris ..
Damn I miss him...
thank you to the music fan in 30 rock who uploaded this.
cool guy!
everything sucks now. Rest in peace, Chris.
Its interesting how his his career kinda cam fun circle as they toured recently as Temple of the Dog for the first time ever. If you think about it now after his death, its like he completed his career....and then left us.
Interesting interview! Beautiful album...
Ty for this, I am A 90's grung "bands lover"...
Aaaeeeee, finally jimmy is back,Brazil loves you jimmy,i watch your show from youtube and i love it,your show its very very funny
Thanks for posting this! I missed this when it was originally broadcasted due to a recording mishap. Did Chris perform on the show on 10-21-13, or was this interview the only thing he did on the show that night?
I know what your saying me and my friends make some of our own music sometimes. Its nice to see that theirs people with taste.
I TOTALLY agree with both statements :)
damn awesome.
we all have best time of these beautiful life!!
Mother Love Bone, Temple of the Dog, Green River, Hater, Brad, and probably forgetting some. they did some amazing work. i was into them hard in the early 90's. especially after i saw Soundgarden open for G'N'R. and i followed up on every band and side project and bonus track i could find and don't even know all of them. like he said, Footsteps and Times of Trouble are two amazing examples of approaches to songwriting, which both he and Eddie were so good at, not to mention all the other guys in those bands. they're still worth listening to today. what a legacy he left. they wrote some of the best songs i've ever heard, and he could sing like no one else. a golden era in rock that i'm so blessed to have experienced. "fallen heroes feed the ground"
Yes fallon is back!!!
Splendida voce splendido uomo. Peccato che se ne sia andato così presto.
5:38 sounds like that burp/swallow thing we do.
Why can't their be this good of music today.
CHRIS!!!!!
This is just perfect, I've always wanted Cornell to cover this song, and it was almost as good as Eddie! He couldn't have picked a better song. Man, now he have to do Times of Trouble next solo tour.
God had no mercy on women when He made Chris Cornell
RIP King your star will forever shine🌟
Beautiful person/soul polite handsome deep you name it
Chris Cornell is the fucking shit!
Montana Puckett was... unfortunately.
He is and will always be a wonderful soul. So sad that the only one who did not know it, was himself. (sonja brogna)
Oh my god people below me actually think Audioslave was better than Soundgarden? That's like saying The Firm was better than Led Zeppelin. Some people...
We miss you.
could you guys post the performance ? please
I want him back.😢
I think when Audioslave played the RATM Epic tracks live,Cornell did an amazing job as well =)
You should see the documentary PJ20, it's interesting, and has a lot of great music, of course, and Chris is featured quite a lot in it. I think parts of it at least are here on UA-cam, but it's also on Netflix.
finally you're uploading again? what was wrong last week? I kinda missed jimmy...
pause @ 3:38
Sweet, sweet Orpheus...💞💓💗✨️🎸😻
I'm still living. I moved back to CapeBretonIsland.lol.I'm with My SweetChild Nikki/Rosie I live with My Mom Mary lol.Jimmy knows I'm still here.
yes. he performed. haven't seen it yet.
🙏🙏🙏
Where the heck are the new videos of the show? :(
look for it, spread it. even make it if you have to.
When this was recorded Bowie, Prince, Weiland, Petty, and Cornell were all still alive and recording and playing music. What the actual fuck. God just went down my favorites list one by one and offed em. I can see how people would believe conspiracy theories. That’s rediculous few years
I totally agree Audioslave was awesome too. Great Chemistry. I was kinda disappointed that they broke up. Glad that Cornell is still very relevant
Hey LateNight, what's your favorite Soundgarden album?!
This is just hard
chris could hear comments from the crowd
Chris had asked Stone if he wanted to be his room mate, Stone said no but recommended Andy
I don't believe Stone liked Chris.
@@chrissimpson6701
Because he was fine still living with his family?
You need to get a grip.
I hope that's not the only video today.
2:53 for Footsteps reply.
Was he on the show?
Still can not believe is not of this life anymore
