Laura Kelly: Exactly. Chris was talkative here and at times he seemed quite energized, but at other times he seemed to me a bit tired when he was talking to her. This interview in particular breaks my heart - he was so sweet, genuine and ''normal', yet he seemed vulnerable and in need of being able to live a normal, happy life away from the media circus and spotlight. Great interview, as always. Chris seems exactly like he always was in most interviews....sane, deep thinker and never afraid to express himself. Since his death, it seems people try to pick his words and demeanor apart. Trying to read between the lines when in fact, there are no such lines. I will never understand anyone who clings on to every word spoken, every lyric sung by Chris as if it were his 30 year career suicide letter!
can't stop thinking about this guy but can't bring myself to watch these...yet I keep seeking them out. Been on pintrest and google just downloading tons of cool pics...saving them...trying to make sense of this...which I am afraid I never will be able too.
A Neil Yeah, but he was also kind of saying that most organized religion is bullshit. Sounds like he doesn't believe in an afterlife. Whatever. He was a great musician.
Chris had converted to Greek Orthodox; which is very organized. He just wasn't into phony charlatans. That's all he was saying. His music spoke of God and deep religious yearning quite a bit; as well as being very spiritually deep in general. "Show Me How To Live", "Like A Stone" all had deep religious meaning. It's not a bad thing to be religious; it's bad to use and blame it for atrocious behavior. I personally share Chris' religion, and extremely glad to. RIP Chris, we'll always love you and praise you brother!!!!
A Neil I would say he cleverly skirted around the spiritual question.. ...He's so not Hollywood...or corrupt celebrity Bullshit...However he was being pushed in that direction by his wife and Mother in law.
I think having some spirituality in his life could have really helped Chris a lot, depending wholly on people on earth for love and validation can destroy a person. Spirituality helps you find your grounding in self love. He was an amazing artist, may his soul rest in peace x
He's saying that children are pure. There is nothing setting them back yet. I understand the listening alone thing too. I used to pull the speakers up on each side of my head and crank the music. I would block out the rest of the world and just take all the music in.
