exactly what i wanted toyota to do with the grand Highlander, will be picking one up soons its available. limited hybrid max awd in that amazinggg cement color with nightshade is 👌👌
Looks really good. I would get it if it came with 8 seats. I would even get an EV grand highlander as all of the current three row EV's are too small and/or out of price range.
@@RaitisRidesthere’s an article on car and driver website that says all captain chair models of the GH will come standard with a removable center console, this sounds similar to what the Honda pilot offers. Any truth to this? I will send the link of the article.
My 2 biggest complaints are no HID option on the hybrid and the ridiculous center console that widens and takes away leg room for anyone over 6 foot. They build a bigger suv and don’t think that a 6’+ adult needs more leg room width?
Built here in Southern Indiana! Kind of hoping for something more than just a trim upgrade on an SUV that had enough of a problem they stopped production for quite some time. Let’s hope the issue is fixed this time. JBL sound system in Toyota is not the best out there.
We had an older limited and I was very disappointed in the JBL sound system. I still like the size of the grand H. Our other option is going big with a used Qx80 with Bose.
How would you compare the 25 Grand Highlander to the 25 Ford Explorer? Which one would you choose? I am looking for a 7 passenger midsize SUV with plenty of room.
i will get it if it has 3 tether anchor in the 3rd row instead of the previous 2 (passenger side and center) or if they keep it 2 tether anchor but moved the center to driver side so 3rd row can fit 2 front facing car seats.
It does look good. I am normally not a fan of blacked out vehicles, but Toyota did it well. Still no amber rear signals though.. you can tell this is a North American only vehicle.
I know most people don’t cross shop this but my aunt was looking at a Grand Highlander and it was just full of plastic cheap material even on the top trim which is $60k my uncle paid $60K for a Nissan Armada platinum and it is way better and more comfortable and luxury feel compared to the Grand Highlander. She just ended up leasing a BMW X7. She has always lease luxury suv vehicles but she wanted to see what Toyota offer to those that are not fortunate enough to afford nicer things in life. But if you’re paying $60k you would expect it to be nice. I understand most people can’t put money down but she said you could basically put around $20k more and get a Escalade. I’m only 22 years old and I’m thinking of getting a new 2024 Nissan Armada Platinum for around $60k
Joe: You didn't tell us how much the platinum version costs, I'd also like to know how much the hybird max version costs in the limited and platinum costs.
Seems they just want to throw a new trim on it so maybe bring some excitement to an SUV that has had a stop sale for some time and not sure if the fix has been addressed or not.
@RaitisRides I was just surprised that you were so unimpressed at a $52k base price for a new 2025 model now that inflation is under control. Carry on .. and great reviews and breaking news, thanks!
Toyota One in Oakland has a big banner "never over MSRP". maybe they add nonsense features, but stealerships are out of their mind to add a markup for any vehicle. It makes customers despise them. Someday dealerships will be gone.
Sure thing! The Toyota Grande Highlander is designed for families and those who need extra space. It usually comes with three rows of seating, so it can fit quite a few passengers comfortably. The tech features often include a touchscreen infotainment system, safety tech like adaptive cruise control, and plenty of cargo space for all your gear.
I’ve gone back and forth between the grand Highlander and the Telluride. I want a mid size suv with enough leg room in the third row and cargo space for a stroller. Based on specs, those are my top picks. I’m leaning towards the telluride because IMO the Toyota has a really boring interior. Also, because of the massive recall, there isn’t a 2024 grand Highlander anywhere near me to test drive. I dont think they’ve restarted production either. If anyone has a telluride and would like to share their opinion, I’m open to listening. I drive less than 10k miles a year and plan to keep whatever vehicle I get for 7-10 years.
Well, I just watched a 1982 Neil Young and Devo collab video, a remake of the song "Hey Hey My My". My brain has been spit in two! So, returning to cyber civilization, I'm going to see what Toyota's up to. Tell us all about it, Joe! 😊
Ugg everyrhing about this is amazing except for the interior looks abysmal... like reminds me of a minivan center consol and buttons. It Needs to look like the new tacoma and 4 runner instead inside 😢
A DOA 3 row that failed to compete with the telluride or palisade considering how late it came to the party with some useless dark trim doesn’t make it less DOA
@@danaberman6929 old man yelling at clouds comment, get over it buddy... theres more to the cost of these cars than an engine. This beautiful looking SUV for my opinion maybe some of the people not a toyota lover they are always said something bad about boring looking this is not boring looking this is handsome looking suv
Looks kind of plain and boring. Front grille is clean, but the shape and lines are kind of meh. Phone-in from Toyota. It's just a heavier, costlier RAV4.
The Toyota Highlander has the enviable reputation as one of the longest lasting vehicles of any mass production vehicle. Although various pundits like the Electric Viking predict doom for Toyota, they are kicking butt and taking names; they are increasing market share in almost every market except China, which of course is overstuffed with local factories subsidized by their govt. On a level playing field Toyota is a formidable competitor. Imagine 35 MPG in such a giant vehicle that weighs over 4000 lbs.
Their engine a lot of recall just recently. And their body top hood very tin i saw some reviews it’s wiggling. A lot recalls and less power according to some owners
I discovered your channel not long, but you've obviously rise to be one of my favourite reviewers
💯 👍
Some people are saying it looks plain and boring, but honestly it looks pretty great to me!
The problem with the "exciting looking" SUVs is they don't have much room inside. The swoopier the roofline the less utility they have.

You can never go wrong with a Toyota, built right and always reliable. Great video Joe. Kudos 👏
I think many people feel the same way
Wellllll …. Unless you bought a 22/23 Tundra 😂
The jury is still out on the 4 cyl turbo. Every mechanic I know says expect a lot of problems around 70,000 miles

When will they release an XSE version! Also yes, different interior seat colors
Did they resolve the recall on the airbags?
My Toyota app advised to contact dealer to have driver and passenger curtain airbags installed FREE of charge.
Hey Joe, isn't it interesting that the GH has a better third row than the bigger brother the Sequoia 😂🤔
The trim is nice but the powertrain would be a no go for me.

$52K not bad for a loaded hybrid. That said, I remember when you could get a Rolls Royce for $60K, but I realize that was 1970s dollars.

5k over MSRP from my local dealer, fucking insane
