The most difficult job in that project in my opinion is getting that double spring pin on the changer linkage. Make sure you have the exact diameter tool to take both pins out. I'll be honest and say i didn't manage to get mine off. I'm putting a 6 speed in soon so didn't bother that much but its tricky.

You haven't finished it yet. I think you could fit the surround piece of trim, and make or modify a leather gator to finnish it of. I'm also not sure if it changes the gear selection pattern to the action of a sequential box. It looks like a good mod if it does, but you've left us hanging. Finish it.
Unfortunately it doesn’t function as a sequential gearbox does.

@@TheGCJourney thats a shame, i would've installed one for a sequential shift. Didn't realise it wasn't your car. One of my golden rules is, never leave a job unfinished. You will end up with lots of horrible unfinished jobs, and the whole build will look shit.

I can't for the life of me remove the ujoing off the transmission. Spring pins out, lubed, heated, slide hammered, everything. Anyone have any other tip? @ragretsti is my build 😭
Hammer on a small tool for the inner pin and a larger tool for the larger pin.

Should mark all your bolts with a paint pen so can tell if moved in the future and them shifters ain't cheap but good design 👌......also do more videos don't ask us just do it 👍
You're right, bolts should be marked!
I personally am not sold on this shifter. Not sure it's function is worth the price but to each their own 🤷♂

It's a Haltech IC7. Haven't made any videos on it but could easily do so. 😊
I search many times the right gear under hard driving. Because te drivetrain ist moving and the shifter also. Is the CAE shifter helping and are cheaper options out ther. I'm from Germany like the CAE Company, but the police dont like the sthifter. ;)
I always thought you were allowed to modify your car in Germany. 😳
Is it illegal to modify street cars in Germany?
@@TheGCJourney I see there is a Gutachten so yes it is legal when Person from Tüv or Dekra test the shifter.
CAE write that: Trouble-free gear changes under load or when cornering. thats interesting!

In this Video I see the shifter wobbles around so it's nothing for me. It's too expensive for me.
No shifter boot. I hope it will not have to be left open like that
In order to close the shifter surround a custom solution is required.
