  • How to fix Low or No water pressure for the kitchen or bathroom faucet in no time!
Do you have low water pressure in your bathroom or kitchen sink? Or you might have no water coming out of the faucet at all.
Today I will show you how to fix it.
And if you follow my steps I will guarantee that your problem is going to be resolved in a matter no time.
The steps to resolve the issue are simple but you need to follow my steps and please don’t skip any.
I have had low water pressure issue with my kitchen tap for the past couple of days and it created me the opportunity to film it while fixing it.
Remember that the process is all the same for different types of both kitchen and bathroom faucets.
And please don’t forget to support my channel by pressing the like and subscribe button.
This is the kitchen tap that we are dealing with. And as you can see the water pressure in this faucet is very low. In your case there might be no water coming out at all, or you might have problem only with cold or hot water.
But remember that the process of troubleshooting and fixing is all the same and all you need is to follow my steps.
First you need to check other taps and make sure that the problem is not for the entire house.
Let’s check one of the faucets in the bathroom to make sure.
Here I’m in the bathroom, I’m turning the tap on and as you can see the water pressure is just fine and now I’m %100 sure that there is something wrong with the kitchen faucet.
Let’s go back to the kitchen.
Here in the kitchen we need to troubleshoot and find the source of the problem, and to do so, we need to start at the lowest point and check everything one by one.
This is called a shut off valve, hot supply line is always on the left and cold is on the right side.
You need to turn the valve off, disconnect the braided hose feeding the faucet and slightly open the valve and see if you are getting enough pressure. And here I have enough pressure for hot water and then I’m going to test the cold line. As you can see I have enough pressure in both hot and cold lines which means that the valves are just fine.
I connect both braided hoses back to proceed to the next step.
Now the next step for me is to check the faucet aerator and see if there is any blockage.
Let me open the aerator. There we go, I see some materials are blocking the aerator of the tap.
I have removed all the material build ups and let’s test the flow now.
As you can see my problem is resolved. And I can stop right here, but let me show you where else the problem could be!
Down here we have the shut off valves and the problem could be here, after the valve we have the supply hoses which could cause the problem, and then after the braided hoses we have the cartridge inside the faucet which had the potential to be problematic. So you need to test each of these mentioned parts one by one until you find where the problem is.
I hope this video has been useful and, if so, please don’t forget to like, share and subscribe for more videos.

Thanks for posting this! Been suffering from low water pressure after leak at main. I cleaned out the aerator, but had low water pressure still but only in kitchen faucet. So problem is from main to kitchen faucet. After watching your video. I found an additional filter between 2 connecting braided hoses! The systemic troubleshoot start with checking the pressure from shutoff valve at hot and cold then to aerator was very useful! Thanks a bunch!!!

There was a water main break on my block and immediately after they fixed it, my hot water stopped coming out of all of my sinks but hot water comes out of my shower.
There is no way all 3 sinks in my house have a problem. What could stop the hot water from coming out, only cold water comes out of my sinks??

Ditto - before watching this video, I wanted to automatically dismiss a clogged aerator as the problem because my mind reasoned that if you add some blockage, shouldn't "jets" of water still come out? Turns out that is not the case and indeed, my aerator is clogged - I copped a bit of a splash when I turned my tap (faucet) on without the aerator! 😂 I'm giving it a bit of a clean with vinegar right now.

Hello! I want to thank you for your easy explanation in your video! For the past week I had a very low trickle of water coming out of my bathroom faucet. I looked up a solution on UA-cam and came across your video. By taking off the aerator like you suggested, I saw that it was quite dirty so I took an old toothbrush and soap and washed it. Problem fixed! Thank God as I didn't want to contact the handyman for my building. I'm quite proud of myself for fixing this problem as I don't know anything about plumbing. Thanks again!

I know this is a 2 yr old video, but it’s helped me tremendously. I actually reversed it and check the top first, only bc once I’m down on the ground it takes me forever to get up…😂 just kidding but I felt it may of been the top as I have hard water, and I know it creates a lot of build up. It was in fact the the top causing issues, I’ve taken it back off after testing it to make sure the pressure was better, to soak in vinegar to help get that build up off. My nozzle isn’t like yours it’s bigger and rounder with multiple spray holes. (Sorry don’t know correct verbiage for it) Renting the house, but saves me and company money if I don’t need a plumber to come out. So thank you so so much for doing this. ❤️💙🙏🙏🙏

      @OWK000 2 роки тому +1

@@tocarules Heck! I didn't attach it myself, it was manufactured that way! And you get the idea: yes, the aerator was permanently bonded to the pex by plastic manufacturing weld. That was the problem! So when I tried to remove it, that action pulled apart pex bonds in other parts of faucet and the whole faucet leaked and had to be replaced. We were having major plumbing work done at the time and a lot of bits had knocked loose in the pipes, so the faucet was toast one way or the other.
I did just manage to remove the aerator from a newish bathroom faucet the other day and that one was screw on. Relief! They still make serviceable faucets.
