Thanks for mentioning that the pilot flame needs to stays on during operation. I just refurbished an old one of these, and after getting it going per the instructions, that kind of surprised me. I guess that's so if a wind blows out the central flames, the gas is immediately reignited.

I cannot find any videos on replacing a thermocouple on this type of heater. This video was great. Maybe a thermocouple replacement video next?

Better off to re install with air hole facing down. Less chance of getting another clog
can you explain why my heater when i put on high it runs on high for 1 second then drops to 50 % heat output?
