Still helping people 3 years later! Thank you for making the video. Helped me instantly. I appreciate it a lot! Saved me a lot on this one
Thank you so much also. We were frustrated and thought we needed to buy a new unit. but what an easy fix it was. I know the Lord will bless you for taking the time to make this video. Thank you again!

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
Colossians 1:14

Great job very helpful !
Here's another thankful person that luckily found your video before I bought another unit. Your the best my friend! May God bless you in all that you do. Thank you 😊!

This young man is a hero!
This replaced an older wall unit that failed. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxQDiHf0Cagl2e3YNPX-bWnDMXQAL2A2Y8 The grill on the front is nice, the old unit did not have one, just the glass. Much more kid/dog friendly. Best feature is the battery operated igniter..... old one had the plunger type, which was quirky. This one fires right up with just a touch of the button. Takes the chill off a room very quickly, seems to put out more heat that the one that was there, even though they were the same BTUs. Very impressed.... so much so I bought a second one to replace the other old one even though it still works!
Just a heads up: dust-off is flammable, so be careful and let the area vent before lighting anything.
Don't ask me how I know 😬
lol
your right a compressor air gun would be safer
Ha ha, yea i learned that the hard way when I decided to dust out a still running ionic air purifier.
You and me both brother my incident involve the natural gas water heater
My pilot light stays on the flame blows both out. What would cause that issue?
You have one of the best most explanatory videos on how to clean that particular heater pulling mine out of storage now to put into my camper to save on electricity and propane thank you so much . Here comes another New England Winter. ✌✌
Thank you! I'm a 70 yo widow whose backup heater went out this morning. I was afraid I was going to have to buy a new one and it wasn't in my budget. I watched your video followed your instructions and have beautiful blue flame in my heater. It's nice to know I don't have to spend my money on a new backup heater.
Proud of you 👍
Thank you kindly for posting that video. My heater kept going out & I was getting so frustrated, the heater was barely 2 years old & I was thinking it would probably have to be replaced. I watched your video and followed your instructions, now my heater is working as well as it did when it was new. Thanks again, much appreciated!👍
This is a great vid for folks whom have no money to buy another heater. I have repaired many heaters snd thought of doing a video. No need you already did it. Your a Blessing to many people Sir
Been trying to figure this out for 3 years. Pilot light is now burning stronger and it is no longer shutting off. Thank you for taking the time to put this video together and for sharing.
I want to thank you for your video. I am a small landlord with 9 apartments and one of our cottages has a Mr. Heater that would not stay on. I followed your instructions and its back to new. You saved me 2 to 300 dollars from calling in a plumber. Tenant is warm and happy...
Thank you so much! You just gave my granddaughter and I warmth.
Wanted to say thank you for making this video. Was just about to throw in the towel and call a repairman, decided to give UA-cam one more search and found your video. Took all of 5 minutes for my to sort my heater out thanks to this video. It's supposed to be getting cold here in the next couple of days, and I was starting to panic LOL. Thank you again!!
Thank you!!! Viewed this video and went and fixed my own in very short time!
Your fix worked. You saved me several hundred dollars for a new heater and the labor to install it.
It seems that I watch this video every year when my gas fireplace becomes erratic. Thanks again for another year of helping me out. Great job!
God Bless you! we did not have air spray but we took a stray and blew it out! works like a dream 5 stars
Thanks so much, worked perfectly. My model is slightly different so I didn't have to remove anything. I was able to spray the pilot area through the grates and an opening in the back. Took less than 5 minutes. So happy because this heater is how my 90 year mom heats her apartment.
Thanks for this video. You saved me from buying a new heater. Works great now 👍 Thanks again from CHILLY CHICAGO 🥶
It Worked!!
I followed your Directions. Except the Unscrewing Section..
Just Used Compressed Air to Blow Dust Out of the Various Parts you
Describe. IT WORKED!
THANKS. Saved me
Service Call. And Maybe $100+?
PS. I'm a 74 Year old Lady & I DID IT! 😊
Way to go!
Thanks dude you just save me 450 bucks!!!!
Saved me so many frustrations, I was about to yank this thing off the wall and chugged it in the trash. thanks a million
Thank you so much! My daughter and I live on a small farm in NW Arkansas. We were going to be without a heater again, after just getting our propain refilled. We watched your video, & after picking up some canned air, it took all of 5 min. to fix. Thank you so much again.
Thank you so much after taking the part off and cleaning it ...worked like new. The Temps were supposed to plummet to 4 degrees so you were a blessing to us.
This is what I love about this platform. Need to fix something yourself but not sure how, UA-cam it. I'm in the second season of using a Dyna Glo 30,000 BTU heater that heats our entire home here in SC. Woke up this morning a bit cold, 20 degrees outside and the pilot light shut off And I couldn't get it to stay lit. So thanks for this video came in handy and work like a charm. All I needed to do was blow on it a bit and that fixed it but I took it a step further and followed through with your recommendations just to make sure.
Thanks for the video, Saved me from having to call someone who probably would have taken my wallet for a ride, as I was starting to panic! no heat in this record cold snap was scaring me!
Gas man says to use a dollar bill to clean thermocouple. Don't use anything abrasive. Great vid I learned a lot. Thanks
I appreciate your easy to understand way of explaining things. I'm a homesteader myself and am semi-handy but wasn't born and raised that way. So I have a lot to learn and you're a great teacher.
Huge help, I didn't have any compressed air, but it worked by lung power. Lol. Thanks!
Amazing how effective a little canned air can be! Thanks for the video.
Wow I was already thinking I had to buy a new one. It took me about 10 minutes and it works like new again! Thank you Sir!
Glad I could help!
HK - you are a bloody genius! Thank you for making a frustrating fix it heater job and turning it into a 5 minute solution. Excellent outcome 🙂
Hey just wanted to say thanks. I did what you said and now my heater works like it did the day it was bought. Thank you for real you saved me a couple hundred bucks
My heater guy tried to tell me that he's an expert and he already looked at my heater. It worked fine for him and since it has a blue flame it doesn't need blowing out. I had sent him your video and I don't think he even watched the whole thing. Now I have to pay someone else (who hopefully thinks he doesn't already know it all) and I've lost my appliance repair guy since I'm really really angry (rare for me) and never want to deal with his argumentative self again. ☹️
BTW: thank you so much for your video.
I don't have a unit like that, but It has the same gas delivery system. Thanks that work real well. I subcribed, nice work.
I watched 👀 your video and fixed my heater wouldn't stay lit,I was thinking the regulator was defective you saved me months, Thanks for Sharing 😊😊😊❤
Been messing with it for 2 days changed the regulator ordered a thermocouple and it’s freezing. Glad I found your fix . It worked perfectly thanks Man .
Awesome. I'm glad I could help ya out today.
Want to Thank You Again!! All FIXED!!
Pilot wouldn't go
Back on. AGAIN!

It's So Easy 😁🔥 Gramma Catherine
Great video, straight to the point. After viewing your video, it confirmed my pilot inlet hole was clogged with dust bunnies. Blew it out with compressed air, wiped off some white carbon residue on igniter electrode and thermocouple put it back together and it was good to go. Thank you again.
You explain that to a t and save me a huge pain watch your video I was having a big problem with the yellow pile of light was turning off and you're exactly correct within 5 or 10 minutes it's working great thanks a lot
Just wanted to say thank you. Your video was very informative and solved my issue. So with that, I appreciate you and sincerely thank you.
I just stopped by to say thank you. I just fixed mine with your help. Much appreciated.
Thank you so much. I recently purchased a home in the mountains and I had no idea what the issue was. I put an air-blower to the heater and was amazed at the amount of dust that came off it.. It works like a charm now!
Missed the part where you took the nozzle apart and cleaned it, also a small wire brush works good for cleaning off the thermo couple. Thanks for the video.!
worked like a champ - our pilot flame was flickering yellow/red & the heater was shutting off after a minute or so - now the pilot is burning sky blue & it stays on no problem! thx for posting & saving us a service call👍🏻👊🏻
I sure thank you for making this video! I had a heater for 20 years without issues but did not have a temperature gage. Finally bought one with a gage and so many freaking problems all fixed. This year it is the pilot light. I will do what you have shown first before going to purchase a new heater.
OH man!!!!! You saved me this cold morning! I am super appreciative of this video...fixed the problem completely!
Awsome video!!!! I started replacing components, Turned out to be a dust ball in the pilot, Thanks for your help I would have never thought about dust ...
Glad you got it going. Keep warm now.
Thanks dude you just saved me a couple hundred dollars worked perfectly
Glad I could help
Thanks so much for making this video. My ventless stove worked fine for 15 years with no maintenance whatsoever but this year started shutting off after running for anywhere from 5 minutes to 30 minutes. The most annoying thing was that the pilot went out too when this happened. So I would have to relight the pilot manually (piezo doesn't work anymore) and restart and then it would invariably go out again in less than 5 minutes. So I took out the fake logs and vacuumed/blew out the dust from the burners and pilot like you showed and it has now been running great all day. The pilot looks completely different, too - much longer flame than before. Your video was a lifesaver.
You're the man! Thanks for getting us through this cold snap.
CONT'D do...no success. No one will come to fix it tomorrow, not just Sunday but Superbowl! I watched your video and, yes, 5 minutes to success! THANK YOU so much!
Omgggg thank you! I seriously have been freezing for weeks because I thought my heaters were broken!
Fantastic. Just took mine apart and sure enough there was a big clump of dust in the hole. Didn't have compressed air, but took a paint brush to it and then used the vacuum. Worked like a champ. Thanks for the tip......
Thanks for posting this. My fireplace wasn't staying lit and I was about to start troubleshooting and taking things apart which is never good 🤣
Turns out it was just dust!
Glad I could help
Thank you!! I used my compressor and followed your instructions. Simple and it works like new.
Thanks so much for posting this video!! My family has heat and I fixed the problem for free thanks to you 👍🏽💯
Thank you. I was concerned about getting one of these due to some bad reviews from people who say they couldn't keep it lit. Based on your video I'm betting all they needed to do is clean it like you just showed.
It's amazing how many times that works for people.
Thank You! This video explained what the issue was.
Thank you very much. Your solution worked. I have a Pleasant Hearth VFS2-PH30DT ventless gas stove that we have used for 2 years but never cleaned it. After watching your video, I went to Walmart and got a can of compressed air, blew through the pilot hole as you demonstrated. It now works flawlessly. Also, whereas before, the pilot flame had a significant curved yellow tip, it is now straight and all blue. I cannot thank you enough!
Worked like a charm, thank you for sharing! Warm again!
I really enjoyed your video. I’m going to watch the other videos to. have one of those and they’re really great. Great to hear how to fix it because one time I did actually have them order a new piece had to get what it was called and I guess I could’ve just cleaned it. Fantastic video when we get back to the video now😊
You fixed my heater i appreciate that!
Thank you 🙏 I’m buying a house with a unit similar to this and I’ve never used one before. This helps me know what I’m getting myself into
Excellent! Tiny spider web in the] pilot light vent was making three pilot run yellow. The heater would light and run fine, but when the thermostat turned the burner off, after 5 seconds the main valve would sit with a loud clunk.
After cleaning, pilot is blue and main valve remains ON normally.
Thanks very much!
Thank you so much for you video. Our vent less heater kept going out. You helped us to get the heater cleaned and working again. Take care and God's peace!
Thank you so much. I asked my neighbor to help me And the first thing he said was I needed a new thermocoupler. That will save me money for sure. Now all I have to do is go to the dollar store and buy canned air.
Air compressor is better
Yeah but I don't have a air compressor. Lol this was a year ago so I haven't had any trouble this year. Yay!
@@kathey1981
Yeah
I was being a smartass.
My bad
Glad you got it fixed though.
Did the air fix yours ??
It's all good.😊
THANK YOU! Saved me from buying a new unit! good stuff.
Getting ready to attempt this. Thank you.
So far so good. Your right. The piolet light looks so much stronger. Agin thank you for making a video about this. Much appreciated.
Thanks for the video. You covered a lot but I don't think you hit on a couple of solutions. When the propane gets low in the tank, you may feel its weight and feel it sloshing around but if it is too low, the pilot light will work but it will not ignite the heater. You need to refill the tank first.
Secondly, I found that letting the pilot light run for 10 minutes or so before attempting to turn on the heater will keep it from shutting down. Apparently, during cold temperatures, the thermocoupler may not detect enough heat and shuts the unit down to avoid incomplete combustion. By letting the pilot light run for awhile heats up the thermocoupler and this does not happen.
Thanks for the video. I just bought mine and was having issues with the pilot light and was trying all kinds of things I actually wiped my finger on the thermocoupler before seeing this and all of a sudden stayed lit then I saw this and one other video talking about it being clean. No one else is talking about that part. Saved me some frustration thank you.
Thanks! I have a very similar heater that I've been working on for a while. Your video was the answer! Super easy and fast! Pilot is much brighter, and it's staying running now!!! Thanks again!!!
I’ll be damned...it worked!!!! Pilot flame can be seen from the space station now. Thank you Mr Momster!
Sweet! Stay warm now.
Thank you very much for your help! For sure, people with animals and therefore hair and dust are going to wind up with an issue if the heater is on the floor. I'm thinking I'll maybe cover it in the off season, but also blow it out before lighting it for the season. Thanks again for empowering me!
You were 10000% correct!!!👍
GodBless you & your video.❤👍
Thank you for making this video. It really helped. My son and I can stay warm, this winter, now. I had to blow everything out with an air compressor and use a torch to heat that little sensor thingy, but the pilot light actually lit and everything works great now.
It also works with a straw in case you don't want to leave the house. I do it once or twice in a winter. Place it onto the holes and blow couple of times.
Thank you so much. You just saved me money. Because I thought my heater was broken, but after cleaning it I'm back to all blue flames.
Thanks! I cleaned mine out and hopefully it’ll work. If I have one thing to add, it’s to make sure to close of your source valve before disassembling any components from the pilot/igniter assembly-otherwise you might start venting gas into your room!
Absolutely! Gotta play it safe.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. This tip fixed my propane fire place. I was bummed out. I thought the problem was possible problem with my gas because my problem began shortly after receiving a fill up. I also thought it may be a problem with my tank or house pressure regulators. I cleaned off the pilot valve temp sensor with zero results. Then I thought it might be a clogged pilot orifice because the pilot flame did not look normal. It was weaker and had some yellow color to it. I think when I blowed back through the pilot flame nozzle the dust blew out of the holes in the side of the nozzle. You saved me hundreds of dollars.
Your awesome!!! Thank you! I used a blow gun on my air compressor on the tip. Obviously same as a compressed can of air. Flame is on point again. No kicking off. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you for sharing this with us, you just saved me a cold winter!! God Bless brother
Great video, thanks for sharing and making the job easy to understand. Cleaned my heater and now the flame is blue again.
I bought a new Dyna- Glo natural gas heater and it's pilot light started going out after while was not sure why.. Thanks for making this video.. Saved me a lot of trouble.
OMG thank you! Your explanation was wonderful, and I was able o do this in 5 minutes by myself after it was driving me nuts all day!
Thanks for the video. Did this before but couldn't remember what it was that I did, thanks again.
Great Video! I'm having the same problem with my Heat N Glo Gas Fireplace. Even though it's not the same, it's usually a relative scenario on gas units. Really enjoyed watching it and walked away a little smarter about Gas units...Thanks!
Thank you. I pretty much followed your instructions, opened up the space heater (Mr. Heater, 20K BTU), took it outside and blew out all the dust that had accumulated over 5 years. The pilot light will now stay lit. Thank you again.
Thank You, Thank You, for your help! We have a Mr. Heater propane 30,000 BTU we got in Jan 2019. It had started going out on really cold nights, then progressed to not staying on for more than a short time. We thought the tank or regulator was just frozen! I wish we had noticed that the pilot light was yellow and not blue like it's supposed to be. No expert here, but I think even the color of the pilot light being YELLOW is showing problems with the oxygen sensor- so heads up if you see this symptom, OK?. We first tried blowing out debris w/o canned air cleaning (noted the DO NOT POKE anything into the tiny blocked hole/will cause Damage), then got the canned air and it cleaned it out fine, and now working great with blue pilot light flame. Remember no higher than 30 PSI when giving air burst, per manual, because of possible Fiberglass orifice damage...which could cause huge pilot flame, evidently. My Son said all kinds of dust was in there, so spot on "cure", THANKS!!!. And note there are TWO tiny air holes in the mechanism- one on the back side. Thanks!!!
Does the front of mr.heater come off like this one??
Oh man your video just got my dyna glo back up a running
You’re a real one for this video!!
Thank you ,you just saved me $ 250⁰⁰.thx a million
Thank you for your help. So easy. Not freezing anymore. God bless homie.
Very helpful! Saved me a bunch of money and it works great. You’re the best.
Thanks so much for the video. Mine was a little different but the same problem. Just got it fixed. Saved me a lot of frustration. Really appreciate you. 👍
You're a genius. My heater is back in action and giving the furnace a break during the bomb cyclone.
I really enjoyed your videos and I’m so glad that you take the time to really show how to do the things great job!
Thank you! For your help. Mine keeps going out. Have a great day.
Sweet! Thank you for the help! I thought I would have to replace the thermocouple. Just a wee bit of compressed air did the trick!
thanks mister. inside the ods a tiny amount of white build up. hard to belive that would cause problems. working great after cleaning it out with a sharp object
