Nick Cave makes me feel less alone with my sadness. He makes it feel like the darkness is okay. I'm so grateful for his music.
Yes..me too🎉
it is the artist originally work. the use of an artist is to touch he s own pain for make the pain of some peoples else less heavy
Heart and Soul, Nick Cave rocks our world.
So true, here IS Windy Day and all things are outside of my head, just listening wind
So beautifully said ... less alone with sadness. That's Nick Cave's magic power.
Sometimes you don’t find music, it finds you
I was riding, I was riding
And I got myself a gun
I’m gonna come back one day
Show you how it’s done
I got a feeling I just can’t shake
I got a feeling that it won’t go away
You’ve gotta just keep on pushing
Keep on pushing
Push the sky away
And if you think you got everything you came for
If you got everything and you don’t want no more
You’ve gotta just keep on pushing
Keep on pushing
Push the sky away
Some people say it’s just rock and roll
Oh but it gets you right down to your soul
You’ve gotta just keep on pushing
Keep on pushing
Push the sky away
Well, thank you for the lyrics..
I found out that having lyrics in the top comments is so practic and pleasant.. especually for for those whos mother language isnt english. Thank you! :)
😊
Some people say that it's just rock and roll

Da vero
He is on the Leonard Cohen level
This guy is a genius he has literally saved my life with his music and that is no joke i have been in some very dark places and this guys music has more than helped
Same here. His songs have been sole companions and comforters in very rough times, each in a different way. I feel so personally grateful to him (and Warren, cause come on... the guy’s a magician)
Time he rised for his people!
I understand you because i
I see my life days non stop to go to Berlin i wanna.help.me i ad such i Big heart 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
Music helped me too. Take care
@@wds525 Your not alone son!
I think this is the most touching performance at all. It's like a whisper between life and death. Nick Cave is a world class artist, thank you King!
Touching performance...to the very bottom of my soul. I can't stop listening to it...truly..I can't...
A whisper between life and death!! So evocative
Beautifully expressed.
"It's like a whisper between life and death".
That was beautifully phrased.
This is bigger than nick cave itself.
Everyone should buy this.
I've never heard this song. I'm 54 yr old Australian and I recall everyone raving about Nick Cave for years...now I understand why. This made me teary. Extremely moving. Stunning.
Really?

I've got through of all my depressions with this man's music...thanks to him so much, for keeping me alive and now i finally understood that darkness eventually passes away and the sky gets bluer.I love him like he is my imaginary friend or my soulmate.he is just putting my feelings into words and bless them with music ❤❤❤
"Some people say that it's just rock and roll
Ah, but it gets you right down to your soul"
How true. Thank you for being and expressing all this!
Nick is on the same level as Leonard Cohen
No he is not.
He is on another level, my friend..
Both of them are the ultimate singers, but if we talk about the dark dark soul rising shine n holding everything from falling apart thru the art of music and lyrics, Cave is at the another level
@@user-uv1gr8ii7i Cohen and Dylan are the Daddy of Lyrics. Nick Cave is good but Dylan and Cohen go to the next level. Remember Cohen is the real poet , a published poet before he ever got into music.
“Ring the bells that still can ring,
Forget your perfect offering,
There is a crack, a crack in everything,
That’s how the light gets in.”
Your letters, they all say that you’re beside me now,
Then why do I feel alone?
I’m standing on a ledge and your fine spider web,
Is fastening my ankle to a stone.”
Nick Cave Art is aging like a finest wine.

This is the last album I got into, not so much any the newer ones, I found other new music instead. I love this album, it’s my favourite, it’s my Nick Cave peak.
Yes he is... most definitely! Nick Cave never ceases to amaze me with his creativity... Yet at the same time he's still young enough to still keep going. God bless him!
I was riding, I was riding
The sun was rising up from the fields
I got a feeling I just can’t shake
I got a feeling that just won’t go away
You’ve gotta just keep on pushing
Push the sky away
And if your friends think that you should do it different
And if they think that you should do it the same
You’ve gotta just keep on pushing
Push the sky away
And if you feel you got everything you came for
If you got everything and you don’t want no more
You’ve gotta just keep on pushing
Push the sky away
And some people say it’s just rock and roll
Oh but it gets you right down to your soul
You’ve gotta just keep on pushing
Push the sky away
Wow.!!!
Beautiful lyrics
He's a genius
I’ve never heard such a touching description of grief
The hug at the end, between Warren and Nick, sums up the decades of hard work. Most ordinary folk never get to feel that moment, because they decide to forgo creativity.

His last three albums Push The Sky Away, Skeleton Tree and Ghosteen are in credibly important to me and what has happened in my life. Nick Cave has been a constant and he'll never know just how important and deeply helpful his music has and still is to me.
Some people say it's just rock 'n' roll... ahh, but it gets you right down to your soul.
Much love, keep pushing...
This new "era" has hit me hard. These are three very moving albums. Happy new year
Same here.
Same
Same for me, it is vital
When you see Nick Cave and Warren Ellis hug each other you know it's gonna be alright
Gorgeous version of a gorgeous song.
And that finale embrace, and the happy look on Warren's face, his arms tightly around Nick's back...
Yes, I live for moments such as this magical one.
After all the pain in life, finding God is like finding your lost soul in +-Infinity space
Sublime and cathartic. Artists like Nick Cave elevate the world. His interpretation of reality makes the world worth it.
well spoken, thank you!
Well said indeed. You put thoughts I never knew I had into words.
Its not Blaa Blaa
Cave, Springsteen, Brown, Bowie, Belafonte, Lydon, Strummer... best performers i ever saw.... And NO ONE does what Cave does better than Cave... he's Mephistopheles incarnate.... and now he's aging into spiritual anthems, kind of Leonard Cohen-izing himself.... I saw him tonight and loved it; but he has certainly evolved...
Discovered Nick Cave in 2020 when I was at the lowest point in my life. Thanks to his music I have made this far in one piece.
is powerful and transcendent

You shoudn't have wait that long, buddy
here same but 2019
As a kind of ritual I listen at least once a month to 'Push The Sky Away'. Because I know that wonders need endurance - we *all* need perseverance.
Warren Ellis is such a great musician. Nick Cave is one of the kind. Respect
Keep on pushing Nick... My most sincere condolences to you and your family for another tragic loss.
I could just keep this on a loop forever...so so beautiful and melancholy, gentle and courageous... exactly what we need in this cruel world to heal us.
We found what IS in us
It’s hard to believe that such a simple, lyrically sparse song can bring me to tears, thinking of loved ones I’ve lost, while also giving me the hope and strength to face another day. This may be the most perfect song, and this may be the most perfect performance of it. He even reminds me of the power of gratitude, when he thanks the other musicians near the end.
To borrow a couple lines, this song is everything I came for and it gets me right down to my soul.
it is not just a song, it is a cry to all those to uplift themselves to keep on searching for happiness beyond all those things that that you already have, that appear not to give you sustainable happiness. It is a song about Nick himself.
;)
The lyrics are just brutal.
Who had suicidal thoughs even likes the song more.
Life is not easy.
2020 is the worst year in decades. But, on the other hand, this happened. So, you know. Keep on pushing.
Bluoo pnbv
Ton
what do you mean saying it was the worst year in decades?
84 was bad. But we knew where we were
Exactly. Gets 2020ier and 2020ier. Peace, my fellow human.
I was supposed to see him in may x(
Everyone on that stage knows they are part of something big. Something meaningful. Something powerful. Nick Cave and Warren Ellis - THANK YOU. Sydney Opera House - THANK YOU.
This is the best version of this hauntingly joyous song I've come across. No words. Just beautiful. Nick Cave's music ages like fine wine. Despite the dark storm clouds of of our age, the world is a little more hopeful with him and his music in it. I wish there was a re-recording of this song as it's performed so gorgeously in this version and put on all the music platforms.
YES!!!
one day my daughters asked me: daddy what does this phrase tattooed on your back mean? Push The Sky Away my love. This a song from a genius that your dad is listening in his entire life
Your answer to your daughter is simply...beautiful! Thanks for that!
Your answer is awesome as this song. Goosebumps.
Oh my god, i have push the sky tattooed on my arm, it's such an amazing point of connection. For me personally it's a truly inspiring statement.
Okay bur wtf does it mean...keep pushing your limits??
@@salvadorramires4431 If you ask me, my interpretation is that you have to step out of your comfort zone to make things happen. It's sort of an encouraging, inspiring statement for me. Nothing is impossible.
Thank you Nick Cave - this world is a much more bearable place with your music in it.
Soul music
A master of words...
Touched by the melancholy of the melody.
The sun will rise after every dark night.
Keep on pushin.
A world without this song, this LP, without Nick Cave is inconceivable even in these darkest of days.
That nearly bought me to tears. The version with the French kids was so good but this was its equal. I used to go to Nick's gigs over 40 years ago and everyone there was a punk but nowadays they're all dressed in suits and he's surrounded by classical musicians.
I just can’t continue living in a cruel and horrible world where people need to hide and disregard their feelings in order to be deemed socially respectable and successful. I want to exit this madness.
What is ecstasy? Perfection? The ability to touch deeply with the voice? What is catharsis? When comes a moment in time when you think for a short moment, "there can't be anything more beautiful"? I believe this piece in this version can be all of that.
Those lucky people in the crowd who got to witness this live. Nick Cave is the greatest Australian artist! Goosebumps.
Proud to be an Aussie , the birth place of this amazing man !
Yes Ben - imagine the rest of the performance that night, all the other arrangements they performed... being enveloped in all that emotion, right there. That’s love.♥️
Danke Nick Cave.
My thanks, my joy and my honour are assured to you all. Eternal. 🦋
I love - absolutely love - the fact that he is humble enough and honest enough to credit all those helping make this performance happen. And to do so right in the middle of the song, no less - guaranteeing the spotlight goes to them as he calls them out, even if for just a moment.
This man is a class act. ❤️
well phrased and you are absolutely right!
Thank God, I live long enough to witness such a legend with such a heavenly voice.
Can't stop crying when I'm listening to this song :'(

So beautiful. No words.
Feel honored hearing and seeing Nick Cave just giving it all!!! Congrats from Greece 🇬🇷. Always by your side!!!!
Thank you all
Nick Cave is like us, pushing the sky away, voices over voices, people only without any kind of stranger
I see life
Now it's time to stand for Greece! Two train just crashed on 1st of March and 60 people just passed away with a median age between 20 an 30 years old!!! We are all deeply sad! Sing for THEM and their families! Sing until we see their faces smile again!
I think Nick Cave is a genius. He has got me thru very hard times. Wonderful man
Madeleine Sheffield I think it helps that (and I don’t say this to be glib) he has also been through the very worst of times. He is the fellow sufferer who understands.

Probably my new favourite performance ever. God sure is in the house!
In my life, I've almost never cried listening to a song... This time I cried. This time, that was not just a song... And this performance is not from our world. Bravo
Two of the last greatest true artists ..🎶
The way Warren and Cave embraces each other speaks volumes!
It uniquely expresses the pain of a parent who loses their child, as in this terrible train accident in Greece, which was full of young people.
Nick Cave is possibly the greatest musician and artist that ever existed. I've fought most of my demons in life with his music playing in the background. He gives me strength to carry on.
I used to think ‘Prince’ held that title. Until I saw ‘Nick’ Live, touched my soul! (and I saw Prince 3 Times)

The emotion and beauty of this performance is almost unreal, I'm not even trying to describe it with words. It's beyond that.
One of the greatest song ever created by humanbeing
One of his best and emotional Songs at this point... Tks always
Once, maybe twice in a lifetime we hear a song that just make us stop, listen, and then listen again and sometimes when we are in a bad place in our lives or a good place we remember that song, this is one of the songs, thank you Nick Cave for being a musical genius.
nick cave ...the living australian national sanctuary
There's only one Nick Cave.
I could listen to Nick Cave forever - then he adds the orchestra and choir - mesmerizing performance!
Great comment, great Nick Cave and his musicians and great your picture, David Bowie and his masterpiece Blackstar
I could listen this to the end of the world....
I wanted to give the song Billion Like’s... 🙏🏻But I have only one heart💚 and I give it for ever with the song🕊
this is the most choking version of this wonderful song! I heard it a million times before..., but with this "sound" and with its given force and power the song gets into the sky literally. Saying this while disliking mostly those highly overdosed "string versions". THIS here is a pure Nick Cave as it gets to the sentimental roots of the song.
Every time I’m coming back to this song I’m just speechless
Awesome. Beautiful.
Nick and Warren, that hug, You see they love each other.
yeah, that hug means a lot ... I don't believe in God or Jesus Christ, but if they happen to exist, I think they are Nick Cave and Warren Ellis.
Oh Lord thank you for Nick Cave ❤

This is a True Testament of his work as a Human and Performer. The Man and his Band are standing on a unbelievable Height.
I must watch this about thee time every week and it's just a magical as the day I first came across it. I love the way Warren stops playing to applaud the orchestra, the joy on the conductor's face and the reaction of the crowd to the choir. A lot of love in that room x
