- Invada Records and Lakeshore Records are set to release the original score by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis to the forthcoming film La Panthère Des Neiges
digitally December 17. The soundtrack is one of Ellis and Cave’s most heartfelt and haunting film projects. Lakeshore Records will release the album digitally in the Americas and Invada Records in the rest of the world.

I've spent my life working in the environmental sciences. If there is one thing I have learnt, it's that the world will do just fine once we've traded ourselves in for a Maserati and a boob job. Nature is tougher than you think, and humanity far more fragile than our hubris will allow us to see.

And that we will destroy this wonderfull planet!

"There is something about the heart of this film that draws you in. I realised after a day, that I wanted to do whatever it took to compose an entire original score. The film deserved to have its own musical voice. I booked five days and asked Nick if he could come in for a day to write a theme song and play some piano. He saw the film and stayed for four days.
In the end we made what I think is one of the most beautiful films we have ever worked on. One of my favourite experiences ever working on a project. The stars are the animals in all their wild glory, as we have never seen them before, and man in reverence and wonder."

La voix de Nick Cave, les photos de Vincent Munier, un mélange subtil qui vous remplis d'émotion. Tous simplement magnifique.
MAGNIFIQUE film : naturaliste, philosophique, humaniste... Avec 2 belles personnes, 2 grands bonhommes (Vincent MUNIER & Sylvain TEISSON) et de très belles images, dans un monde encore préservé à sauvage. Bravo et merci !!!
Et cette musique, la voix de Nick Cave "enveloppent" le tout"...
Un film d' une extrême douceur, la beauté des images et les commentaires de ses deux hommes, Sylvain et Vincent ont rempli mon cœur.
Pas facile de ne pas verser une larme devant tant de poésie et de beauté...
Ces instants éblouissants dans la froideur extrême des hauts plateaux Tibétains, sont d'une poésie absolue. Les images sont vraiment incroyables, la musique et la voix de Nick Cave sont forcément admirables, les mots et la diction de Sylvain Tesson sont si justes. Quels moments de cinéma, quels moments de quiétude et d'émerveillement !!

I remember nick and his band coming to my flat in Manchester in the 90s after a gig ...he liked a Kylie Minogue bag on my wall so I gave it to him. I remember that night often 😊

I keep seeing back that beautiful moment in the end of the movie when the panther finally lays down in front (miles away) of the camera lens : she was perfectly knowing her majesty, she was perfectly knowing she's been a long quest for these guys and she was perfectly aware about the precious moment she was giving to them ❤

When I see these wonderful pictures accompanied by these melancholic tunes, I can't help but think, paradoxically, that this planet is suffering from a disease, and it's called mankind, whose destructiveness is masked at times by symptoms such as passionate, beautiful pieces of art like this one.
Calling human beings a "disease" is very misanthropic. You must have quite bad self-esteem. Have you not seen the destruction wrought by non-human organisms like viruses and cancer? Have you not seen cats torturing mice or the suffering caused by jellyfish, tarantulas, jackals, hyenas. Do you regard the planet as a disease for its earthquakes and volcanoes and floods heatwaves?
