Great points! I mostly buy my bags online so can’t really judge how they’ll work out until I order them 😂 I try to make sure I use a bag for two weeks before deciding if I want to break up ❤ sometimes I know as soon as they’ve unboxed and back they go!

I have this bag in black leather it’s such a beautiful structured bag ♥️ Bought it as a bday gift for myself in 2018. So much better and more elegant than Metis in my opinion

Good points, and that is a beautiful bag! I am debating selling my Gucci Marmont camera style bag in black leather. I really prefer black bags with either black or silver hardware, of which I have a total of 4, 2 YSL and 2 Chanel. I have the Gucci with gold hardware as well as the Pouchette Métis. I want to keep one with gold hardware and the PM would be costly to replace. I’ve had both so long I will probably get my money back. Anyway I have an appt with Fashionphile on Friday, I’ll try your tips and see how it goes! I am trying to stay at 15 total bags to make sure I can easily display all my bags in my closet, and only have what I absolutely love.

Aaryn, couldn’t you find a leather top handle same pink to match and add it to the strap attachment.?? 🤔🤔🤔 lots of companies make top handle straps.. I have done so with some of my bags …. LUXE GUARDE … make lovely top handle straps and on the rose ballarine colour

I agree about the pink interior. It’s the worst for some reason to keep clean. I have beige microfiber in a few bags and it’s really easy to keep like new. I have pink ballerine in 2 bags and it’s hard to keep them pristine.

Did you originally purchase this for your MIL? I do love this bag and have debated purchasing it. Thank you for pointing out some of it’s faults. As this may keep me from ultimately purchasing it. I own the Clapton Backpack and it’s one of my favorites from my collection! 😊
No, I have only purchased Coach bags for my MIL:)...I imagine in the long run I probably won't keep this bag, but it sure is pretty ♥️♥️

All great tips Aaryn! There is only one bag that I occasionally think about re buying, but I think it’s because I want to replace the color rather than the bag itself. It’s the small ysl loulou bag in a taupe color. I think it was called latte). I had the bag for years and carried it only a handful of times. It hung a bit too low crossbody so I shoulder carried it mostly (and I like a bag like that to have the flexibility of both), I had to pull the flap down to close it. I liked the look but not the function at all. So whenever I even think about possibly rebuying g, which is not often, think about how much I didn’t like using it. That’s the most important thing. Do we use a bag and actually enjoy using it. I just need to replace it with another taupe bag and I will never think of it again I’m sure. Maybe either a Chanel reissue or the Dior caro if I can find a perfect taupe color in one of those.
Excellent points to consider when you think of rebuying - there are so many good taupe bags out there! I did a similar thing when I sold my black & silver tory burch ruched Kira. I feel like there's a perfect quilted black w silver hardware bag out there for me, but it wasn't the Kira. Drives me a bit nuts that I can't find what I'm looking for:)...
