I’ve never on a cruise. 🚢 there was a time we booked a trip once and we were not able to go. Your necklace and ring are very pretty. Very unique. I enjoyed watching

I love your jacket. ❤. I don’t care for cruises. I prefer to go to different countries and research an area and spend quality time there. I’ve been to Florence, Venice, Rome, Paris, the South of France and Italian Riviera and many other places and love having a week in one place. I don’t care for large groups of people and expensive shore excursions that always strand you in a shopping area for at least an hour each time!
I do understand why many people love the convenience of cruises and certainly would take a cruise if I didn’t love researching and planning my own travel. I think cruises are especially great for seniors because they make things so pleasant and easy. I took my mom and aunt on a couple of cruises and they felt like queens !

My parents are actually taking the boys and I and hubby on a vacation on the Seine next year… I'm excited to try that because there won't be so many people and we will have more time at each stop… Hoping that will address the negatives that you mention :-).

Really have been enjoying your travel videos. I'm trying to plan a Fall vacation and you're giving me a lot of inspiration!! I think I'm going to have to look into Florence. You mentioned the VAT, I've seen some videos on it but it's never really been quite clear to me on the step by step process on how it works. Do you think you could do a video on it? I'd also be interested in knowing how much time it takes at the airport to get the reimbursment so I know how early I need to get there before my flight. 😊

Aaryn I love that jacket! It's so beautiful and very high end looking. It's fun to bring back things no one else will have. You really scored something special along with those lovely jewelry pieces. My bff bought a beautiful gold bracelet on that bridge. It was so overpriced but a special memory piece indeed. Firenze/Florence is a beautiful city. Too bad you didn't have much time there. That's one of the downside to cruises. There is a great luxury outlet 40 minutes outside the city. No doubt you could have found treasures there as well!
I've really enjoyed your vacation highlights. What a spectacular trip you had. As I've grow older I find that travel experiences are more and more important to me over materialistic things. Don't get me wrong, I will save and save all year long to buy a special luxury item (handbags) abroad but if I don't, that's okay too. I love bringing home the little specialties of the regions I'm visiting. For instance, I always bring back butter, cheese and champagne from France as well as my much loved violet honey, Fauchon teas, Marseille soaps and of all things "kitchen towels". They've got great textile kitchen towels! If I could I would stuff my suitcases full of pastries and bread too! So good!
