    I own both of those. The 2 person is really great for actually cooking foods, especially when you stir foods while cooking like soups and Ramen, etc. The 2 green cups one is great for water boils, coffee, etc. I love them both but the 2 person kit is my new GoTo kit for kayaking and day tripping.

    You’re the only person to do a review and mention the lid. It’s a big deal to me that it slides off so easily. All other videos I’ve seen just ignore the lid problem. Great video review and thanks for keeping it real! New sub!

    Seen the meme with a cat tail head shoved in a hot dog bun with some CATsup, mustard etc on there? "Look at these wild caught hot dogs we made!" I didn't know whether to LMAO or pull a "Meal Ready to Eject" routine😂

    Why would this not be available anymore, its only 2yr old isnt it? seems crazy that they would discontinue them already

      @denofearthundertheeverlast5138 I have noticed a lot of things disappearing. I think it is just a sign of the times. I did find this for not a bad price on ebay if your interested. www.ebay.com/itm/144998179040?chn=ps&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A1QxaqtiyIT5GcCUdJVKecCw33&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=144998179040&targetid=1584571731043&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9021712&poi=&campaignid=19894961968&mkgroupid=148855406073&rlsatarget=pla-1584571731043&abcId=9307911&merchantid=427103301&gclid=EAIaIQobChMInpnQo_7TggMV6EByCh0sJAHpEAQYAyABEgLi4PD_BwE

    I used to do shift work & end up at some bloody horrible locations in the wee hours 20 years ago. I really wish I had these in my work bag as often you only had what you carried in your work bag to prep meals. A few times we were stranded on a location where a hot drink & meal would have been a dream come true. I have seen / used THERMOS products for many years but when you need to heat / cook food or heat a baby's bottle you have the right tools with these cook sets.

      I hear you Matthew, I've been broke down in weird locations I've been in the rear end of nowhere a few times. That's why I started carrying one of my bags with me in the truck all the time no matter where I go. Now if I get stranded or something else happens I'm not in such bad shape. Thanks for the comment!

      @@charlesartificer2158 I was a relief officer so often dumped at some lonely crappy site. All those motel / hotel coffees / teas you collect will come in handy. I now move alot with my work so carry a few bits & pieces from office to office. I refuse to pay top dollars for fancy coffees - but found these cappuccino coffee sachets are very decent in my work bag - add sugar & hot water.
      I once worked with a concert & was in a paddock 4 mins away from the food venders. We got a fire going in a drum to keep warm but the Stanley 2 person cook set came out as I boiled water & got a brew going. You will drink anything to keep warm when it is cold.

      @@matthewbrown6163 nice, what I usually carry with me is either instant coffee, or this instant French vanilla cappuccino beverage mix that I get from Sam's Club. I also carry those Swiss Miss hot chocolate packets. Cuz sometimes like you said you just want something hot to drink maybe I don't need to stay up just just to stay warm.
      I hear you on the cold weather, I was in Upstate New York for a time and if you've ever been you know what I mean when I say crazy cold weather. And that's coming from in Michigan native who thought he knew what cold weather was. Upstate New York is totally different we had guys in my old unit up there from Alaska who even said that some of the cold weather we had in Upstate New York was worse than what they had in Alaska. So yeah you learn all kinds of nice little tricks on the job to stay warm. Thanks for the comment and Views brother, stay warm and stay safe!

      @@charlesartificer2158 Were working Logistics at a huge dance party & it was winter. We got a fire going in an oil drum & I pulled the billy can from my car & some fencing wire to boil some water - we had a brew going as another went to get tea, coffee // food. Winter for us is probably mild for you but it was 38F in your scale but cold enough to be 2C for us. No shelter but a small tarp so we had warmth & a way to get water boiling. A run to the operations centre rewarded us with bacon, eggs, bread + cups. We were comfy but the others were suffering. I made sure from then to keep a bag in my car & a work bag with all the odd coffee, teas, soups I collected at hotels. A friend was stranded with her hubby 2 years ago with the horrible flooding in the far north state. She thanked me later for the idea of soup mixes. canned tuna, canned spaghetti & bottles of water to carry. She was stranded for 2 days in the car with only what they had with her husband.

      @@matthewbrown6163 that's a heck of a story Matthew. Yeah we do tend to learn from our mistakes, well unless they're politicians they never seem to learn from their mistakes LOL. And yeah in your scale that's not very cold to me. It starts feeling very cold to mean when it dips below zero, and when it gets to the double digits below zero and the Fahrenheit that's painful. Add to that wind chill and it can get downright deadly. Upstate New York is flat territory like a table top and it's a lot of Farmland so there's not much trees or anything for Windbreak, so what happens is you get these horrendous winds along with double digit temperatures and it literally kills people up there every year. So After experiencing that I'm not too upset with my Michigan winners. Here in the last 20 years I think the worst we've had is we had it for 3 Days dip down below zero into the double digits I think it was like 12 or 13 degrees below zero. Those are some rough days. Thanks for the comments brother I'm off to work now I'll catch you all later.

    Are the bowls double walled like the adventure kit cups? I’m very interested in this kit as I find the adventure kit is too tall to stir the bottom properly so food catches on the bottom. This would solve that issue.

    • @charlesartificer2158
      @charlesartificer2158  Рік тому +1

      I'm going to go out in a limb and say no. They are very Stout construction but thin so if they are double-walled it would have to be a ridiculously small Gap. As for your other problems with the adventure kit yeah this would probably be a better kit for you then. Thanks for the comment and views.

    PS it also be nice if they came back out with the two pot prep and cook set which they quit making for some stupid reason I don't know what idiot came up with the reason why it quit making it but they did

      Its a nice set minus my dislikes in the video. I have used it several times. It can be a bit big for one person so it is better suited for 2 people. For one person it's hard to beat the Stanley 2 cup adventure set. that is my go-to for solo camping. The sporks are functional, barely. I don't like them and there are much better options. If you are set on getting it, I say ditch the sporks, get the UCO switch cutlery set or a similar one. Hope this answers your question. have a good one.

      True, what is a fail for me is the design of the lid. That rests on the state side design team. If they had just scaled up the adventurer lid it would have hit it out of the park.
