      @@BudgetLawns Interesting- So I thought dog pee burns Bermuda and turns the spots brown..? I have both burnt spots here and there (that I know are my dog pee areas), along with dark spots that may (?) be pee spots too.

    • @BudgetLawns
      @BudgetLawns  2 роки тому +2

      Dog pee does burn the grass and turn it brown if it is well fertilized. At that point, the pee becomes an over abundance of nitrogen and burns it. Since my lawn needs fertilizer, the dog pee does not burn it because it’s not too much nitrogen. As to why you have burn spots and dark green areas…who knows. It could be a number of things. Lawns aren’t typically perfectly uniform. Deeper spots can be greener. Spots in general can just be healthier and greener. The pee may burn some spots and not others if the dog pees in the morning with dew in one area and later in the day with no dew in another area. The lawn is not a good place to find perfect consistencies. Hope this helps. Appreciate ya watching.

It can even get away from you quick if you can’t stay on top of the mowing. After this summer scorcher, I’m ready for round 2 of growth and to get it all filled in again before winter. Do you need to allow a certain amount of time to pass in-between applying pre emergent and fertilizer? I live in North GA, about to put pre emergent across my lawn. One section of lawn is bermuda that's still pretty dormant, but there's another section that's a different type of grass (unknown..) that has already greened. Because that non-bermuda section is already green, I think I should apply fertilizer now (thoughts?) instead of waiting until May like I will for my bermuda section that I'll fertilize separately. Appreciate any guidance.
