    My friend and I (male and female) got into an argument once because I said I don't believe in physical violence but if a woman puts hands on a man in anger, she deserves to get decked, because equal rights. My friend (a feminist) got pissed because that's not fair, even though 5 minutes prior we were arguing whether or not women belong in *every* career field. (i said yes IF they can pass all the same tests/physical requirements with no tweaks, which was apparently also sexist). Plot twist, I am a woman. My feminist friend is a man.

      Feminists want to have their cake and eat it too, man or woman they can't handle any small suffering or accountability.
      I think it comes from Communism; policing speech, false compassion, deep insecurity, etc.
      They'll resort to any disingenuous tactic: emotional blackmail, straw-manning, "topicality," false equivalency, applying exceptions to the rule, etc.

      Equal rights, equal fights!
      Did you and your friend ever argue about whether or not women deserve the equal right to vote without taking on the equal responsibility to register for Selective Service? Or whether they deserve the equal right to federal student aid that is prohibited for men who do not register?

    • @Dani.J.
      @Dani.J. Рік тому +51

      @Torgo1969 we never got that deep. It didn't take long to realize he isn't about equality, he's about women being treated better/special. which, as a woman who isn't a feminist, feels like the opposite of feminism ? Or maybe it's spot on, who knows. But apparently only women who also agree that we deserve special treatment, because he caught a whole attitude with me for thinking we don't solely based on owning vaginas.

      @Michael Knowles Also, take what should be simple and irrefutable facts, that for decades women in the West on average have been doing better in nearly every area relevant to well-being: in longevity, health, health care spending even after accounting for maternal and reproductive care, education, favoritism in the criminal justice system, alcoholism, addiction, homelessness, violent crime victimization, suicide...

      @@johnstrawb3521 longevity: men fight and kill each other in wars, women mostly don’t.
      Health care spending: women tend to find doctors on their own over men
      Education: because the system favors their psychology, also girls still in school in the majority don’t kill their children (or have any for that matter)
      Favoritism in justice system: yeah, and it’s a real problem.
      Alcoholism-suicide: these are all behaviors typical to men anyway, killing children doesn’t come into it, or into any of it for that matter. You can’t just list a bunch of ways women do better over men and attribute it to something you want support for. Women have been involved directly in the killing of… what- 60 million people over the last 5 decades? Ironic, since men are supposed to be more violent.
      You also just admitted women aren’t being victimized as much as men. I believe that is… Checkmate.

      I should clarify, I'm a woman, but I do not support or agree with it. Neither do I agree with feminism. But, it sure does seem like the feminists and women who hate and oppose men and "the patriarchy" support and defend this "movement." However, I have seen some feminists see it for what it is, are against it, and I can appreciate that it is somewhat forcing them to acknowledge certain truths. In general, men and women have similarities, but we are not the same, we have different gifts, talents, purposes, and roles. We are/were created and intended to compliment each other. God created Adam/man first, then God created Eve/woman (out of Adam) to be a help meet for him.

Taught them the bible, gave them good values, and when those children had children the kids would come to her house after school, where she would make them food every day, and clean up after. Hey Michael, really like your observations on culture, to which I hope to add the following- Norm left behind a legacy of what comedy was, that which stuns an audience. He made the joke the very environment that stuns and not the object that stuns. Most of what we still find funny in comedians like Dave and Bill are that the point out the obvious that stuns. They reveal exactly that which is stunning to us. Novelty of all kinds leave us in non-comfort, some react to it by assessing it, some by taking it without assessing it, and finally by laughing at it.

He was also a very bright person, well-read and he had that amazingly quick wit. All the harpies on The View, together, had about half the IQ of Norm. It is no wonder he destroyed them. His appearance on some awards show preshow with Sarah Silverman and a couple of other morons where he told them that their proclamations sounded like "Commie gobbledygook" was priceless. He came on and immediately started ripping them all, ignoring all of their lame protestations and snide remarks. Almost as good as his Conan appearance with Courtney Thorne-Smith.

    Bill Burrs technique allows him to push the envelope a bit. If he went straight in for the kill then he would have to back off early. He will make an inflammatory statement, back off to explain why he's not being unreasonable then pushes the initial point even further. It's like a fisherman giving a bit of line. If they just try to drag the big fish they might break the line. Burr is a legend at this.
