I was a proud beta tester for F1 2020, we had a fantastic feedback channel and testing sessions with the devs. Oh my oh, how time's changed since then.
@@ShinigamiGrin I don't know what do you mean by that. We were given a specific thing to test or focus on, and report back on findings, bugs and improvement recommendations.
How have the times changed? Your feedback no longer completely valued? i.e the Dev Team selectively listens? Or no direct beta testing from normal people. How were you chosen to be a beta tester?
Codemasters should have a reference from F1 2019 and 2020, in 2021 the car felt uncomfortable due to understeer, while in F1 22 the traction is horrible and the AI does not help at all
@@leewat9068 In 22 it is more understandable since the cars there were boats like in real life, what if I don't understand is why the AI was so broken, also something that I was able to confirm on my own, In F1 2021 doing a lap around Monaco was impossible without crashing, in F1 22 it feels almost the same as 2020 although you have to be more careful not to spin
Just gone back to 2020, and my nostalgic memories wasn’t deceiving me, the handling model was as good as I remembered, even compare to 23’s model it holds up extremely well and even actually felt superior in certain areas. What’ve they done with the series the last couple of years, like seriously…
The only reason this game was so good was because during the pandemic a lot of the drivers were playing the 2019 game. A few of them advised about things that could be improved and Codemasters listened. Then they started the regression all over again once the drivers stopped sim racing and went back to work. The problem with video game devs is they don't listen to the fans. We know more about the sports than they give us credit for.
After about 2 month of playing F1 22 career and multiplayer i swapped back to 2020 and my go to whenever i want to play. More cars and better physics and for me atleast it runs and looks better.
This game was one of my go-to video games during the height of the pandemic, when everyone got stuck at home and have nothing much to do. So yeah, great game!
How is it that the physics get worse from 2020 to 2022? Should be the other way around. Is it because Codemaster needed to re-do all the physics because of the new car design?
F1 2020 got me into the series and online racing so i enjoyed this very much. I'm gonna fire it up again as well. More of this if you enjoyed it JD thanks for the content
F1 2020 is an amazing game everything about it is good. my second favourite F1 game behind championship edition. I was a big fan of classic cars and still am when I play F1 2020. I don't remember them being that popular when they were in the game but now a lot of people what them to return and they would add huge longevity to the game
If you own Assetto Corsa, would you do a comparison/head-to-head hotlap? They both feature this car legend and they both have Barcelona, Silverstone, Red Bull Ring, Spa. Would be interested about your thoughts
I haven’t played an F1 game in a while I’ve got a decent Fanatec setup is it worth paying for F1 23 or 2020 for a fraction of the price the cost isn’t my main concern just wondering if 23 is a worthwhile upgrade I play on Series X. Thanks in advance
I actually restarted the installation of this game from a long time and just didn’t get the opportunity to replay it, for the same reasons. F1 22 realy sucks. I hope people are still playing on line on it, and i think probably a lot will come back to it.
What do you mean by "was an incredible game"? I play ACC, RF2, AC and Automobilista on PC constantly and they're all great simulators. Maybe F1 doesn't rank up there but it IS an incredible game. Not "was". 2020 is the absolute pinnacle of this series. The driving is great. I often tune up my PS4 to have another go for the championships. Too bad it's not available on Steam anymore, otherwise I'd buy it for PC too. The only thing that pisses me off is that you get vintage cars, but not vintage driver names. That'd be incredible. PS: I feel it drives more realistic with TC on.
I prefer F1 2022 to F1 2020. Mainly cause I mainly play solo and I find the AI alot more excitable on 22 than 20. The handling on 20 is probably better but once you adapt its fine for me.
If Codies are going to insist on continually repackaging a previous game and just modifying the graphics, I'd honestly be okay if they did that to F1 2020. The peak of the franchise.
Best handling but the mechanical DNFs hadn’t been introduced and so you would win the championship in career mode simply by having an indestructible car. I prefer F1 2021 for that reason, even if the handling is like skating on ice at times
f1 2020 was the only f1 game i had ever buyed, very much enjoyed the game, its a really good game, 21 and 22 really looked the same game to me so stopped buying
2020 was my fave game by the length of the Baku straight. Then ‘21 was the worse game I’ve ever played ever. Actually turned me off playing the game all together
Come on man I love you to bits for your honesty, but 50 seconds in to the video and you’re already saying “can’t wait for the next game, HOPEFULLY there will be some improvements”. I kidded myself for years with the same “hopefully” mentality with the fifa games. Constantly hoping the referees would be better in the next game and year after year they weren’t and if anything they got worse, yet I kept buying it because I kept “hoping”. We need to stop hoping because we know by now that EA especially don’t give an F about us and they don’t improve their games for the benefit of the consumer. Change doesn’t happen if we keep spending our money and preordering games. I know it’s part of your income but we’re never gonna get better games if we all keep hoping they’ll be better year after year, buying them, realising they’re not better and then again hoping that the following year will be better. We all hoped 22 would be better and look at the state it’s been in. They easily could’ve fixed the handling but did they? No. They’ve purposely left it for the new game because they know we’re all sick of spinning up the rear tyres in 5th gear so we’ll buy the new game hoping it won’t happen anymore, and they market it telling us they’ve improved the handling, just like they do every single year and as we know it doesn’t guarantee it’s gonna be better, but they make it seem like it will be just so we splash the cash again on a new game. We half expected a new game engine for F1 2021 and didn’t get it, then we were all convinced 22 would definitely have a new engine and it didn’t and 23 STILL doesn’t have a new engine. Again they don’t care so why should we keep supporting them

most fun ive ever had on a racing game was on f1 2020
Vietnam is goated
No it wasn’t
Easily the best F1 game
@@JacksonLinn. Vietnam was the ass thing about f1 2020 other than that it was goated
Thank God we have an f1 living room now instead of classic cars
F1 2020 was great. We had quarantine and had so much fun on it. We need classic cars back.
Honestly dude can we just have a boat load more 2020 - I just got it and omg it's the best feeling. 2022 is buried in the ground next to ET.
Man, I haven't heard that horrible name in a long time...

By miles 👍

Greed and money. Also EA came in.
i'd like to see you try austria on the classic cars, another fun track for them
One of the best handling physics from codies
This car around Suzuka 👌
Physics with turned off TC was so well done in this game. It was really fun to drive in this game, then it started to getting worse in newer games

I find myself spending more time. On 2018! That game was incredible!
the in-game (on screen) wheel goes crazy when you touch the kerbs

Me also playing f1 2020 cause it’s way better
I would love for the game to have really good force feedback on wheel and have classic cars like the one in the video that would be just amazing
I can see that the game detected the wheel as a controller
If there is a compatibility mode on your wheel like on the CSL DD try it
Can you do a video about your settings and camera settings in f1 22?
Yes more 2020 content 😁😁 best f1 game for consistency

Do you have separate pedals for throttle and brake or you mapped those to some buttons on your wheel?
it's been said that the cars in f1 23 have likewise grip, you can get consistently on the power in 2nd gear, anyway great video
