You are my favorite. Your voice is very soothing. I have anxiety and some crafters talk real fast and loud. I love their stuff but get never out listening.

I got some Tums (calcium carbonate) at the Dollar Tree and ground them in my coffee grinder and used it with acrylic paint and it worked great. Put the Tums powder in a clean peanut butter jar with some water and shook it and let it sit overnight, then added the acrylic paint. Thanks for sharing the calcium carbonate recipe!
I want to thank you for sharing this video. I never really liked chalk paint because it seemed like it clumped a lot. Even the store bought. I thought I would give this one a try and to my surprise I LOVE it! It goes on nice and smooth and holds well. It looks wonderful on my glass. I am truly blessed to have found your channel. Thanks again!
That was very helpful comparing all of those different techniques because I’ve always wondered about all of them with the acrylic paint thanks for sharing🤗
Thanks SO much Holly! I recently started doing a lot of crafting and DIYs on my channel and the cost of chalk paint can be steep! I really needed this info to keep my costs down. You are a life-saver!! I can’t thank you enough!! 🥰🤗
This was a brilliant demonstration! I had been explaining the scientific method to my son the other day as part of a science lesson, and called him to watch your process. For you to go further than just the swatches by painting difficult surfaces + adding decals was just icing on the cake!
This is great - I've tried this with artists acrylics and house paint, and they both stick really well to glass and to different types of plastic. The best thing about it is that I don't need to varnish or wax it, as the paints themselves do the sealing. I also sometimes add a little plaster of Paris to get texture - it gives a slightly lumpy ceramic look. Thank you so much - I've transformed a lot of things that I would otherwise have thrown out.
I tried with both banking soda and corn strach as mentioned in some videos and every time ended up invitating more problems to finish up the project that I undertook. Thanks a lot for your information . The baby talk is working amazingly...... A big thumbs up to u.
Thank you so much! This was so informative and a true game changer. I have so many "Winter" painting projects this year and your tutorial has already helped me immensely!
Thank you for sharing its nice for people to know there are cheaper way to get chalk paint.. I myself use calcium carbonate powder to do my chalk paint.
I’ve been binging your videos. So much love for your channel. You seem like a really awesome person who has a lot of wisdom. This is something we needed in these hard times. Thank you!🌸🌸🌸
Very well done video. Just the facts and no chit-chat. Thanks. It amazes me how many people want to share their life story and never get to the DIY instructions
Thanks for sharing this information! I’ve wanted to make my own chalk paint but wasn’t sure which was the best one to make. This clears it up for me. ❤️🇨🇦
Thank you for this information! I have made my own chalk paint with plaster of paris, but it don't cover like yours with the talc! This is very much appreciated! Blessings!
I did baking powder with latex paint and you need at least 3 coats to get full coverage and you will see your brush strokes too. You also have to seal it with a good varnish.
Thank you so much. I have made my own chalkpaint but with a bit more wather 💧💦 because I used it on my teracotta plantholders so they got a whitewash look like in French country style. 💁🏼♀️💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
It’s really hard to find talc powder but I did try this trick....calcium carbonate which you can get from Amazon in a I pound bag for $6.88. Works great!
Do you have a hard time finding baby powder talc? The $.99 Only Store and the Dollar Tree and pretty much every discount store sells it here. Do you live in the USA? Calcium carbonate is what they put in real chalk paint. It’s essentially Tums, the ant acid 🥰😘, but people want to buy things in the store when they’re there, for the most part. That’s why it’s quick easy and cheap chalk paint 😂 Thanks for watching!
What I researched and found to be the True ingredient in those expensive chalk paints Was Calcium Carbonate. I didn’t find mine cheap like you. I had to buy “Fluker’s Calcium For Captive Reptiles”. 2oz jar for about $7. “Chewy” online retail keeps sending me cards asking how my lizard is when I order pet supplies lol. I think it’s 2 tablespoons dissolved in water and mixed with a sample size tin of paint...that’s all ya get! I was thinking that must be why Annie Sloan charges $32 for a little can at my fav vintage shop. It is a smooth finish tho, I noticed heavy streaks with the talc (more water needed?).
Connie Jane here’s what I got from Amazon, www.amazon.com/LD-Carlson-Calcium-Carbonate-Capacity/dp/B0064GZPPO. It’s still only $6.88 for a one pound bag. It’s lasting forever!
Connie Jane yes, you can add more water to reduce steaks. Also keep in mind that my chalk paint recipe is a faux Chalk paint recipe meant as a nice substitute for those people who can’t afford the real brand-name chalk paint. It is perfect for fun crafts, however if you were doing furniture or kitchen cupboards I would recommend investing in high-quality real chalk paint. In saying that, many of the subscribers on this thread said they have done exactly this! Painted their furniture and their kitchen cupboards and they love the results using talc! 😯😜I find Waverly to be streaky as well. In general I just find chalk paint to be very streaky. You can spray a bit of water on the surface and brush. This will reduce the streaks with both my chalk paint recipe and the brand name chalk paint using calcium carbonate. 🥰❤️
Just wondering, if you were to rub calcium carbonate on your skin, is it leaving a white film behind or is it completely transparent? Baking soda for example makes paint feel like chalk paint, but doesn’t actually create a high coverage one coat chalk paint. Just wondering what calcium carbonate is like? If you scroll up this thread one of the commentators said she uses calcium carbonate plus a little bit of talc. She feels this creates the perfect chalk paint. I have not tried it.
I was looking for a way to make chalk paint from acrylic paint bc i live on a fixed income and cant afford to buy a special paint for every project but i was recently given great big jugs of basic acrylic paints for Christmas so thank you!
I’ve used baking soda mixed with acrylic craft paint on glass and it looks like ceramic. My 25 year old daughter saw a piece and thought it was truly ceramic.
I need to try that myself. Baking soda is great for so many things, garden bugs hate it also BS + salt will clean your teeth so good. BTW, BE SURE YOU GET BAKING SODA, NOT, BAKING powder. Big difference. Thanks
Thank you for sharing your expertise and being so transparent. I really want to update my furniture and create my own little refuge, but the chalk paint I've seen are pricey. Thanks for helping me create calm!
Thank you Johna! I am in the process of making another recipe, because unfortunately the prices for talc have tripled since I made this vid. The entire point of this, was to provide a cheap option for hardcore crafters. I am pleased to say I have found a supplier of the ingredients I was looking for, and it's even cheaper! 😁 Now to test, and then film. For those in the USA and Canada, this will be another godsend if I can swing it! The rest of the world will continue to be able to benefit from this video. Hopefully you live where you can still find it cheap!
Holly, I am sooooooo thankful for this demo. It was very informative. I have been coating my glass with a thin layer of mod podge before painting which means extra drying time and I haven't been totally pleased with the results.
Thank you so much! I now get it. Didn’t understand why everybody wanted to use Waverly paint and white chalk paint.. It’s not very easy finding Waverley paint so luckily I have not purchased it yet!, Lucky me , now I don’t have to, thanks to you. I love watching your channel.
@@virginiarobles4423 Please be careful when using talc. I wouldn't even use it. It has caused cancer and still does cause cancer. Lawsuits have been filed. Cornstarch baby powder is way better.
😳WOW!!! TY Holly for this demonstration!!! I was using the baking soda technique & needless to say, I wasn’t very fond of it. I will be switching to using talc from now on👍🏼🥰

I am so grateful to you for making this video and showing us the right way how to make homemade chalk paint!!! The baking soda and cornstarch make it kind of like a texture paste. Which that is good but the pure talc works so awesomely awesome Chalk Paint. It works perfect and you only need one coat. Thank you so very much. 👍
The problem with talc is where it is mined is where asbestos can also be found. That’s why talc is usually contaminated with asbestos. But other than that I really appreciate your tutorials through this channel!

Thank you so much for the tutorial! Unfortunately I went out and bought baby powder made with talc and corn starch. Willl this not work at all? Could I just change the ratio?
Thank you for demonstrating the differences, you cosmetic background definitely gives you the right knowledge to improve on craft formulations! I think makeup is just another craft medium! Chalk might be gypsum which is also what some people add to make chalk paint. Talc sounds safer than plaster, more accessible than gypsum powder for us. (Cornstarch for body powder and babies).
Thank you so so very much for a video that is clear, straight to the point, calm, without excessive chatter or piercing music. I too have been searching for an ingredient to make my own chalk paint and I wondered what I could use besides Plaster of Paris. Thank you for this hack I will definitely be trying this.👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🙌🏾

I'll also include your channel in my description box and show your channel in my video! Thanks again!
@@debraclark9549 I usually use the 1:1 ratio but it depends on the thickness of the original paint too. I would suggest starting with small amounts and then adding more as you need it to get the right thickness. Hope that helps!
What a great demonstration! I want to use chalk paint to refashion a few ceramic vases, and this will save me money! I can use the acrylic paints that I already have rather than spend more money on chalk paint that I’m only going to use for a small project. Thank you for this demo!

Wow! Awesome! Thank you for this. I actually ventured out to Walmart (for groceries mainly), but I was out of white chalk paint and so was Walmart!!! I actually have some talc because I make my own mineral makeup and have been for years! I also have white acrylic paint! I think today I will be trying this out, as well as your bead recipe! Your amazing girl!
denise bendickson hi Denise. I would check out “Humblebee and Me” you tube channel. She has a lot of great cosmetic and skin care diy’s on her channel and has helped me a lot with my formulations. You can also check out TKB Trading, which is where I purchase a lot of my ingredients for my mineral makeup. It’s so much cheaper to make your own! Have fun making!
Hi, Holly! Thank you so much for breaking the different options down and showing us the results. I found this so helpful. I haven’t been able to find white chalk paint. I noticed you had a jar for your paint. Can you make up enough to fill a mason jars worth and save it? And what is the longevity of it? Thanks so much again for this. Happy Sunday. Have a beautiful day!🥰❤️🌻🌻🌻
Hi Michelle! Yes I made up a mason jar full and it’s still going. A little bit goes a long way! You can also add a little bit of water to it if you feel it’s too thick. That really makes it nice and smooth and easy to work with. I have one jar that is mixed with primer from Home Depot. Then I have another jar that’s mixed with apple barrel white acrylic paint. I use the one with primer when I want something to really stick hard. Things like glass. I just used the acrylic version on metal buckets and it worked brilliantly! I sealed it with a bit of watered down mod podge so that the mod podge wouldn’t be so thick that it would drag and smudge the paint. It makes the mod podge glide nice and easy. More gentle. Hope that helps💕❤️🥰
Thank you so much for this, I love the way you demonstrated all of the choices.I heard about you from Marta at Cuban Curlzz, she says that you're amazing.....she's right.
I love seeing the different products and how they work and don' t work, thank you for sharing this type of information. Also a big thanks for not editing the video.
I just ordered Aztec Healing Clay ( calcium Bentonite ) before I saw your video to use to make chalk paint/paste . I'm going to send it back and use Talc! Do you think it will work with stencils specifically Chalk Couture type ones?
It works the same as crafting chalk paint, so I don't see why not! I've stenciled with it, but I haven't tried the specific brand you're talking about (just being honest). Logically though, it should perform the same. Thanks for watching! xox
Thank you so much I could never afford the chalk paint that you buy.. I have the items already here at my home can't wait to try it.. you have helped a lot of cafters to save money.. God bless and stay safe.
OMG. I can’t say thank you enough. I have only watched 2 videos so far and I can’t say thank you enough. I’m so excited and thank you again. Just wondering if you can use a paint with a primer already in it with the talc formal.
I do cover that in the vid. I use primer, but it can dry in your brush and be difficult to get out. If you don't mind changing your brushes out, it's all good. Thanks for watching my friend! Hug!
I have been making all kinds of colors with your awesome recipe for chalk paint. My Walmart is out of just about every color and this is so much easier on my pocket book. Thank you so very much for sharing this recipe. Love, love, love it.
Hi Sharon! I have never tried it on furniture but apparently many of my viewers now have and they are saying that they love it. One lady painted her kitchen cabinets and said it was smooth, opaque and sanded beautifully. Let me know if you try it and how you feel. Thank you for watching! Have a blessed day my friend! ❤️🥰😘
Thank you so much for the instructions on how to make chalk paint!!! I have been discouraged with the rising prices of chalk paint. This was very encouraging!!!
Holly, I tried to read through as many comments as I could to find my answer before bothering you with it. Are you only mixing up your chalk paint with acrylic craft paints? Have you tried latex interior/exterior? I would assume it would work just the same?! TYFS! 💘💘💘
It works with any kind of paint. You can also add tiny amounts of water to thin it out. You can add less if you start with a thicker better coverage paint. Hope that helps! xxx
That is a wonderful idea! I had a wonderful idea as well. I went down to a little market in our little town that doesn’t have a lot of turnover in the baby products section and I found talcum powder with talc and not corn starch.I found some on the bottom in the back of the shelf. I bought two and took them home. So, that might be a place to find talc that’s affordable. Look in little stores that don’t have a lot of turnover. Just a tip! ( two for 3.00.)
Thank you, for showing me the actual differences between them, big difference and wow game changer my daughter and I both love to paint so it can get quite expensive for white paint especially. This video was very helpful thank you again.
I just came across your channel and I'm having a great time binging your videos. I'd just like to say that I'm a furniture artist and I primarily use milk paint over chalk paint, (although I've never bought the brands you referenced so can't speak to their cost). It can definitely be opaque, but it's non toxic and really inexpensive when compared to many chalk paints. Thank you for some a great channel! 🥰🇨🇦
Wow! Thank you. I will have to try this. I can see how it does thicken up the paint. Of course with the cornstarch we use that to thicken in cooking so naturally it made the paint so thick. This is great. Thanks again. 🥰👍🏻
Thank you so much... I’ve tried making so many other types of chalk paint and they all have been a flop... So glad to find one that might work have a great and safe day
WOW!!!! Thank you for sharing this. I have made it with baking soda before and after it dryed it left a white film so to speak. And very rough. At first I thought that I just didnt mix it very well but I really couldn't have mix it anymore than I did.
Baking soda is very gritty. You might as well add sand in your paint, because neither adds any more opaqueness. As with anything you add to paint you have to mix it very well, but it definitely dissolves better than baking soda! Thanks for watching! 😘🥰
Yes, I have used powdered grout as well. That also works but you can’t store it because it hardens up and dries as it supposed to do. I will be making a new video soon with other options for people.
Wow!! That's amazing! I have only bought 1 thing of Waverly and it was like $7.00 or something like that. That is just too expensive, in my opinion, for craft paint. I'm not saying that crafting is not worth the investments in supplies, paints, etc. But I refuse to pay that price. So, I'm super happy to try this out!! Thank you for sharing!! 💜💜
@@HotHumblePie I was so excited about your recipe i couldn't stop talking about it to my husband and my daughter as nd my mom ...lol. I think you get the point!! Maybe you should market it and sell it!! 💜💜

You are my favorite. Your voice is very soothing. I have anxiety and some crafters talk real fast and loud. I love their stuff but get never out listening.
Aww. Thank you 😊
I feel the same way...aLOT of them are VERY loud a screechy which RUINS it for me cause i had brain surgery and residual from that, so, yes, i soooo agree🥰
Thankyou🕊and Bless You All🦋
I got some Tums (calcium carbonate) at the Dollar Tree and ground them in my coffee grinder and used it with acrylic paint and it worked great. Put the Tums powder in a clean peanut butter jar with some water and shook it and let it sit overnight, then added the acrylic paint. Thanks for sharing the calcium carbonate recipe!
Yes! You can do that!
Yay! Thank you 😊
did you make it and did it work??? That's what matters.
That was very helpful comparing all of those different techniques because I’ve always wondered about all of them with the acrylic paint thanks for sharing🤗
Thank you for watching! Have a beautiful week!😘🥰
Thanks SO much Holly! I recently started doing a lot of crafting and DIYs on my channel and the cost of chalk paint can be steep! I really needed this info to keep my costs down. You are a life-saver!! I can’t thank you enough!! 🥰🤗
That is awesome, and you are very welcome! xox
This was a brilliant demonstration! I had been explaining the scientific method to my son the other day as part of a science lesson, and called him to watch your process. For you to go further than just the swatches by painting difficult surfaces + adding decals was just icing on the cake!
Thank you 😊
This is great - I've tried this with artists acrylics and house paint, and they both stick really well to glass and to different types of plastic.
Wonderful! I'm so glad you came back to let me know! Have a beautiful day my friend! xox
Oooh, I have been wondering if I can use interior or exterior paint from the hardware store to do this!!
I tried with both banking soda and corn strach as mentioned in some videos and every time ended up invitating more problems to finish up the project that I undertook. Thanks a lot for your information . The baby talk is working amazingly...... A big thumbs up to u.
Thanks for sharing xox
Thank you so much! This was so informative and a true game changer. I have so many "Winter" painting projects this year and your tutorial has already helped me immensely!
Thank you for sharing its nice for people to know there are cheaper way to get chalk paint.. I myself use calcium carbonate powder to do my chalk paint.
I will definitely be using this paint on my projects. I love how easy it is to make and way cheaper. Ty so much for this.
Glad it was helpful! 💕💕
Who knew chalk paint could be do easy to make. Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure 😁
I’ve been binging your videos.
So much love for your channel. You seem like a really awesome person who has a lot of wisdom. This is something we needed in these hard times. Thank you!🌸🌸🌸
Awww, thank you for such a sweet comment and thank you for watching! I’m so glad you’re enjoying it! Have a beautiful weekend my friend! 💕😘❤️
I totally agree!
When I make snow for a crafts I use Elmer’s glue , talc and white craft paint and it works wonderfully
Your voice is so calming 😍
Thank you for this recipe, it look so good, can’t wait to try it!
Thank you for the kind words and thank you for watching! Have a beautiful weekend 😘🥰
I agree her voice is very calming lol. Love listening. She is going to be huge in youtube!! :)
Very well done video. Just the facts and no chit-chat. Thanks. It amazes me how many people want to share their life story and never get to the DIY instructions
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for sharing this information! I’ve wanted to make my own chalk paint but wasn’t sure which was the best one to make. This clears it up for me. ❤️🇨🇦
I’m a makeup artist, and you are SOOOOOO RIGHT on the MONEY with this one!!! THANKS FOR THIS INFO! 💝
Thank you for this information! I have made my own chalk paint with plaster of paris, but it don't cover like yours with the talc! This is very much appreciated! Blessings!
So glad it helped! Hugs to you my friend! xox
I did baking powder with latex paint and you need at least 3 coats to get full coverage and you will see your brush strokes too. You also have to seal it with a good varnish.
You really are the perfect diy-er for people like me who are on a tight budget! I love this !
Thank you Donna that was the plan! Lol thanks for watching! ❤️😘🥰
Thank you, it looks great!
What kind of paint do you mix with the talc????
@@annettebustamante8965 exactly. it didn't work for me a waste of money.
I've used your method lots and have a very nice collection of blush pink /white/ vintage grey chalk paints 😊 thank you 🖌👍
Thank you 😊
I absolutely loooove this! I will definitely try it! I cannot believe I didn’t know this already! Thank you so much for sharing! Great tutorial!
Aww, that's wonderful! Let me know how you like it xox
What I researched and found to be the True ingredient in those expensive chalk paints
Was Calcium Carbonate.
Thanks
What Was the ratio you used
What ratio did you add? Teaspoons or mix to A thick paint
@@SashasRevenge Ratio? TIA
What kind of paint though.
Thank you so much! I bought some oops paint from ACE hardware and have been searching for the best chalk paint recipe to transform my great find!
Glad I could help! Thank you for watching!! xox
me too!!
Thank you Virginia! 😘🥰
Virginia, where did you find the right kind of baby powder?
I just had it at home...it was pretty old! By Johnson
@@virginiarobles4423
Please be careful when using talc. I wouldn't even use it. It has caused cancer and still does cause cancer. Lawsuits have been filed.
Cornstarch baby powder is way better.
@@cindyschroeder2975
Please don't use talc. It causes cancer!
So glad I found this, I was looking to use baking soda, but I actually have pure talc and that’s what I’ll be using. Many thanks!
😳WOW!!! TY Holly for this demonstration!!! I was using the baking soda technique & needless to say, I wasn’t very fond of it. I will be switching to using talc from now on👍🏼🥰
Yay! If you Google pure talc in bulk you can also find it there, just in case you have trouble. Some people have trouble depending on where they live. Enjoy! xox
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for sharing this!!! This makes so much since now seeing all three....
You’re welcome! Glad you enjoyed it!🥰😘
The problem with talc is where it is mined is where asbestos can also be found. That’s why talc is usually contaminated with asbestos. But other than that I really appreciate your tutorials through this channel!
I made another video this summer offering 3 other wonderful options here: ua-cam.com/video/F6Gn9trma5w/v-deo.html
Regarding concerns about talc. Johnson and Johnson lawsuits relate to talc migrating up into the vagina. Obviously, that is not the application here for chalk paint. The issue of asbestos-containing talc stems from the mining of the two naturally occurring minerals, which often are found in close proximity on the earth’s surface. Unfortunately, companies were unaware in the 1960's- early 1970's and were mining from contaminated mines. Today's talc is routinely tested for asbestos. Cosmetic talc is 96% pure, and medical talc 98% free of asbestos.
For more information please refer to these articles:

Thank you so much for the tutorial! Unfortunately I went out and bought baby powder made with talc and corn starch. Willl this not work at all? Could I just change the ratio?
Thank you for demonstrating the differences, you cosmetic background definitely gives you the right knowledge to improve on craft formulations! I think makeup is just another craft medium! Chalk might be gypsum which is also what some people add to make chalk paint. Talc sounds safer than plaster, more accessible than gypsum powder for us. (Cornstarch for body powder and babies).
Living Reflection Thank you! So glad you enjoyed the show 😘🥰 hug
Thank you so so very much for a video that is clear, straight to the point, calm, without excessive chatter or piercing music. I too have been searching for an ingredient to make my own chalk paint and I wondered what I could use besides Plaster of Paris. Thank you for this hack I will definitely be trying this.👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🙌🏾
Be sure to watch my recent video because I suggest three more ingredients in case you have trouble finding this one! Have fun! I pinned the link at the top of this comment section.
You just blew my mind AGAIN! Your channel is going to grow BIG! 😍👍

I’ve used marble dust for years. Gesso has it. Talc works too. I make a texture paste with baby powder, works awesome!
Hi Holly! I found your channel from Heidi Sonboul's playlist last week. I have used your chalk paint recipe for white and black acrylic paints and I LOVE IT!! It is perfect for my home decor projects and looks great when distressed, the coverage is also fabulous. Thank you so much for sharing this with everyone. I am going to be putting up a video tomorrow where I use the white chalk paint recipe and I am going to tell everyone about it and that it came from you. I'll also include your channel in my description box and show your channel in my video! Thanks again!
the Schwowin's nest Oh awesome! I am so glad you love it as much as I do! Thank you for the linking too! xox 😘🥰
Did you use the one to one ratio or the 1/2 to one ratio ?
@@debraclark9549 I usually use the 1:1 ratio but it depends on the thickness of the original paint too. I would suggest starting with small amounts and then adding more as you need it to get the right thickness. Hope that helps!
What a great demonstration! I want to use chalk paint to refashion a few ceramic vases, and this will save me money! I can use the acrylic paints that I already have rather than spend more money on chalk paint that I’m only going to use for a small project. Thank you for this demo!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the wonderful information. This is great to know! Have a great day!
Thank you so much, and thanks for watching and much love to you my friend! xox
Thanks for sharing this...I have used the talc for a while now and have not purchased "chalk" paint since. .. I know others live and die by the their homemade recipes but I know this works and is the Best choice.. I have the upmost respect for you 😁👏 and love your channel.

Wow!
How nice you have all that already at home! Thank you for watching. Much love to you. 😘🥰

denise bendickson hi Denise.
Thank you for sharing. This makes so much sense and yes it was nice to see how if works. I did it with talc and it was 100%
Thank you so much. That is very helpful. I will definitely try this out! Thank you so much again!🥰🥰❤️❤️
@@HotHumblePie Thank you for letting me know it works with primer from the hardware store. I have been wondering about that!
Thank you for sharing your chalk paint recipe! I will give it a try.
I did try it. Next time I will add a little more talc. It did cover better than the acrylic paint by itself.
THANK YOU THANK YOU!! Being home bound, I'm close to out of chalk paint. I will be giving this a try!

You are so welcome!
I'm going to try this cause so all I do is add a lil of the powder to acrylic paint and mix is it that simple lol please help
Your grammar is awful . No punctuation . So hard to know what you are saying . Are you asking a question ? 🥴
Wonderful tutorial. Will definitely try this method. Thank you for sharing your time and ideas.
Thanks for watching! xox
@@HotHumblePie Thank you !!!
My pleasure! 💕😘
I just found your channel and now I am obsessed! Have you ever tried this on furniture?
Please read the comment at the top of this thread. ❤️
Hope that helps! xxx
What a sweet voice and lovely tutorial. Thank you sis. Bless you.
Thank you so much 😊
That is a wonderful idea!
That is awesome! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you, for showing me the actual differences between them, big difference and wow game changer my daughter and I both love to paint so it can get quite expensive for white paint especially. This video was very helpful thank you again.
Glad it was helpful!
Bless you!!! I have several projects of furniture to redo...on a very tight budget!!! Will be using your method here. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Be sure to check out Part 2!! More amazing ideas if you can't find talc!
OMG it's really awesome it was a big challenge for me to cover the glass with white acrylic paint thanks for sharing this with everyone
My pleasure! 🥰😘🌸❤️
Great job 👏
I just came across your channel and I'm having a great time binging your videos. I'd just like to say that I'm a furniture artist and I primarily use milk paint over chalk paint, (although I've never bought the brands you referenced so can't speak to their cost). It can definitely be opaque, but it's non toxic and really inexpensive when compared to many chalk paints. Thank you for some a great channel! 🥰🇨🇦
Awesome! Thank you!
I appreciate you going through the process and showing the differencees between the different powders. You are a big help!
Thank you❤️❤️
Wonderful feedback and awesome results! Thanks so much for sharing your news with the world to help us save money. God bless you!
I wanted to try chalk paint you saved me $$$ I have so many acrylic craft paints already
Sticks so well it's even hard to get off your skin. Can be done, just harder than the others.
Lol! Yep! 😘
Wow! Thank you. I will have to try this. I can see how it does thicken up the paint. Of course with the cornstarch we use that to thicken in cooking so naturally it made the paint so thick. This is great. Thanks again. 🥰👍🏻
You are so welcome!
I tried baking soda was NOT happy with it. I'm going to try the talcum powder. Thank you for sharing
Thank you so much... I’ve tried making so many other types of chalk paint and they all have been a flop... So glad to find one that might work have a great and safe day
My pleasure! Working on a new recipe too!
Thank you so much. I've tried other methods and was left with a hot mess. You're awesome!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing this with us! Love watching you craft and you are so beautiful and talented ❤❤❤
I haven't tried your method yet, but I have mixed acrylic paint w/unsanded grout to make a chalkboard wall & it works great.
Yes, I have used powdered grout as well. That also works but you can’t store it because it hardens up and dries as it supposed to do. I will be making a new video soon with other options for people.
WOW!! Your video is great. I really appreciate you sharing your expertise from the makeup industry, it was the Game Changer!
Yay! Thank you! Working on a new recipe too! ❤️😘🥰🥰🥰🌸
